I remember paying USD 1180 for a front row seat in Chile and a lady behind me spent the whole concert pulling from my t-shirt asking me to sit down. Then security asked me to sit down as well. **** it. Gimme a general admission ticket any day.
What a ****. She actually got security on you for standing at a rock concert???
Most people know when to sit and when its ok to stand. I dont want to spend 1500. dollars to look at someones back and their sign the entire concert. Its just rude to keep standing when everyone else is sitting. When you hear the first chords of yesterday sit the **** down! lol
I don't think it's that cut and dry...my first Paul concert, we stood the entire show on the floor along with everybody else on the field. I sat down for "Eleanor Rigby" in St. Louis, otherwise that crowd was up the entire time. I just sat down cuz my legs were tired and I'm sick of hearing that song! We stood the whole time in National Park too!

Festivals are generally GA, is there a rumor Paul might do another festival in the USA this Summer? His shows tend to have reserved seating, so no issue there.

That's why reserved seating has got to go from the front of the stage and those who want to sit down during the concert should get side seating, like in Brazil and most of Europe. I simply cannot sit down when Paul fucking McCartney is in front of me singing!!!

Cool, my sis in Denver will like that. She and my brother in law are trying to go see Paul once a year in different cities.

I love the seats up front, not that I really ever use it but it's nice to know you have it. Plus it's a nice barrier from being squeezed in like a sardine, if you give folks a chance to act like idiots and push and shove...they usually will. It's why I wouldn't go to many South American shows, it's not worth it for me and just about any of my friends to go, GA is just an ass way of doing things. It's good for folks with little money and the time to stand in line for hours or days but for most of us, we like seats. I'm 6'08" and I stand all the time, I've been asked to move more times when everyone is standing than I have when there are seats. Strange but true

possible additional festival not quite a summer show

but still only a rumor, when festivals are concerned, I tend not to believe it until it's officially announced. Seems like they all follow the same playbook when sales are lagging, rumor a big name and stimulate ticket sales.

Gathering Of The Vibes in CT has an artis announcement this coming Tuesday but doubt it's Paul since this festy runs 7/30-8/2

Bob-is that rumored additional non-festival summer show going to happen? thanks!

Bumbershoot? That's end of August but they have already announced their lineup. Austin City Limits? That is October...those are the only 2 larger festivals I can think of..

I agree Bob, the last GA Vegas show was pretty unconfortable. Never again, lol

I read somewhere that sitting down most people are approximately the same height. Its our legs that are different.

Love these GA shows where I find my spot and have been there for a long time as the rest of the crowd filters in, including the people that choose to stand behind me. Then as the show starts, then they want you to move because you're in the way or allow them to get in front of you. I wonder, where was your freaking head when you chose to stand behind me? That Vegas GA was total shit as GA always is IMO. If I wanted a festival feel, I'd go to a festival!

Hopefully we hear something soon about this one additional rumored US show

Agreed. I know it's a crapshoot but also hoping for Gathering of the Vibes
-
I think the Tuesday Vibes announcement is Grateful Dead band member related since they are celebrating their 50th anniversary. Sadly Vibes is too small for Sir Paul but hope I'm wrong

Probably Phil Lesh.... But if Paul can do Firefly, which is a tad larger, he can (maybe) do GOTV
