How does someone get dead-center front row seats?

Nancy R:
Some friends who were on the sides in maybe 7th row had their view blocked by the damn camera boom!
What a jib! ...sorry, bad joke.

I've never seen Macca (last time he was out here was 2 years before I was born) but I've been thinking a lot about tickets recently. I know the front row is a bit away from the stage but I still reckon I'd rather be 3rd row, centre. Like at the theatre or the cinema, you're not craning your neck so much to see them. Then I also think, would I really like to be centre? Maybe I'd be better off being on the right hand aisle so I've got a better view of him when he's on the piano?
I had 3rd row center in Detroit last year and I loved that seat/view. Best seat I've ever had and will probably ever have for a Paul concert!

I have 5th row center on order for D.C. I now see that the 4th row center is listed on Ticket City......if only I had waited.

I didn't get an email yet. Only spent $14,000 + so far. Got a note in my TM account that I will get one on Paul's birthday. Then I too will get $2.50 off. Makes up for everything

Are seats in center row B held back? I've seen seats in Row C and beyond for sale but haven't seen any for the second and first row center.
Probably. I have never heard of any of us boardies getting 2nd row center. I got 3rd row center in Atlanta in 2014.
Lucky you. Met a fan who has some money, and he and his other buddies seem to be able to get those seats!
The ticket broker upgraded me at no additional cost to second row center for two shows so I have answered my own question. I have been waiting since 1964 for this dream come true!ð???

I hope this guy is reputable. I have never dealt with a ticket broker before.

Well, I went through Stub Hub and Ticket City; they guarantee their tickets. I contacted both when each ticket arrived. They said that the broker did indeed upgrade me from Row E center to Row B center. Don't know how that happened but I am thrilled!!!!Taking Stub Hub and Ticket City's phone numbers with me though in case there are any problems. I went through Stub Hub in 2013 and had a center aisle seat though not as close. Excellent though for a baseball stadium. Could have gotten a VIP package for the same amount of money during the presale but was reluctant to spend that amount at first. Took me awhile to think about it.

Oh, good! And you have the ticket in hand! Yeah, next time, as Yoda would say, "Don't think, do!"

I still won't believe it till I see Paul on stage from that seat!

maccascruff:
Seen people upgraded to 1st and 2nd row center. $2K package is on the side, way on the side.
. Not always, I'm doing my 4th front row in Grand Rapids this month and mine have always been close to center-always able to work my way on the rail. That being said I would be furious if I was given your seat maccascruff ð??¡

What is center first row like? Does Paul look at you? About how many feet are you from the stage?

I am still furious about it. I had talked to the venue and been told that seat number was near the center. I did have front row center in 1993, no sound check. Paid a scalper $500 for 2 tix on the day of show in my hometown. Stage was much closer to seats then. Linda was taking photos a lot of the time. Lots of interaction with Paul and the Lumpy Trousers Band. Paul read all of the signs I took and we had a mouthing conversation. The hydraulic lift was right over my head. Loved being front row center.

Yes, I remember the days of the stage being closer to seats. I was back near the spotlight machine in 1989 but still had a good view. With this tour, it appears that the rising stage pushes the seats back further. I will see next Tuesday.

From front row center you are about 6 or more feet from the riser stage and another maybe 8-10 feet from Paul when he is standing on the main stage. Does that sound right to you guys?

I received some in Omaha. We had two nosebleed seats and we were so disappointed when we arrived to find they were also BEHIND the stage..with only the screen to look at and a side view, if any of the band members came over that far. So we walked around and were standing in an area to watch the opening number, planning to return to our seats. A guard came and nicely stated that we couldn't really stand there, and when I explained why, he said. "come with me." We followed him down to the floor area and were seated about ten rows back. We were over the moon! Love Paul's concerts and really looking forward to seeing him in Wichita 2017!

Closest I've been was 11th row center in Jacksonville in 2014.

I ended up with surprise upgrades from the ticket brokers I used last year for Paul's two Washington shows. I was second row center for both nights. I noticed the front row center seats were given away by Paul's staff. The people behind me had a VIP package.
