After I finish bingeing Vikings: Valhalla, I'm going to start on season 5 of The Last Kingdom.
The Vikings was really good. Season 5 of The Last Kingdom was great.
I'm about to start ep. 7 of Vikings, then ep. 8 will finish it. Then on to The Last Kingdom!

I just saw this posted on FB. Mark Rylance will be in another season of Wolf Hall. I loved him as Cromwell. Good news for me and probably many others. I will definitely binge watch it.

I saw the first part of the trilogy, Wolf Hall, but not the 2nd part (Bring Up The Bodies) Looking forward to 3rd part (The Mirror And The Light)

I think Wolf Hall, the movie, included part of (or all of) Bring Up the Bodies. It's been a while since I read the first two books. I don't plan to read the third book.

I searched for movies and couldn't find a thread, so this may get moved. I've really enjoyed the first two episodes of House of the Dragon. Is anyone else watching it?
-
*raises hand* Me! Saw 1st episode before we left for ManchesterLiverpool! Love it! No time now to look for the TV thread!

Good on you for being over there! Hope you meet lots of famous/nice people and enjoy the music. E2 was pretty good and leading up to further plot lines. I haven't read the books and am happy to be surprised with each episode. It seems, though, that it's leading up to civil war. Maybe that's a given.

I was actually here first and posted a longer bit about House of the Dragon and then it just disappeared when I tried to post. Oh well. Maybe the mods will move it if they want to.

For the last few months I've been watching the classic 1966-71 soap opera "Dark Shadows." It's available on Freevee, through AmazonPrime, Tubi and a few other streaming networks.
The characters are really interesting... especially the vampire Barnabas Collins... who doesn't appear until episode 220! (Am on episode 635 of 1235 now... and find myself watching at least six to eight 22 minute episodes every day!)
The show had vampires, werewolves, a Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein, ghosts, time travel and parallel time storylines. The cast played modern day as well as 19th century characters... was very creative and unique for its time.
Barnabas Collins was a popular cultural icon of the late '60s... but not as popular as the Beatles of course! But from the same time.
I wonder if any of the Beatles were hooked on Dark Shadows, and were able to watch it in England?

yikes, the Barnabas Collins photo turned out to be a lot larger from when I first posted it. If a moderator wants to reduce that photo in size, might be a good idea. Thanks!
P. S. Hopefully when the Maccaboard is updated posters can have the ability to edit anytime... instead of just 30 minutes after a post is created. Just a suggestion.

The size of the photo is fine! I watched every episode as a pre-teen and teen. Loved David Selby as Quentin Collins! He's still alive and 81!
I have tons on my DVR to watch that recorded while I was gone. It will probably take me 2 months to get through everything eventually!

Both of those shows sound interesting to watch! The Serpent Queen is about Lucrezia Borgia I think... voted one of the most evil women in history...
Am up to episode 680 now of Dark Shadows. Quentin is just starting to appear, as a ghost, but soon the characters will go back in time to 1897.
