"Out There" 2013 Setlist Critique and Suggestions
-
Tomorrow will be the answers to a lot of speculation and expectations in respects to the setlist..if there is to be any semi regular changes on this leg it is gonna be the second nights of the back to back in one city...I am anticipating a one off in Memphis with Blue Suede shoes....one week from tomorrow I will be having a great time....

It's been twenty years since I heard Hope of Deliverance live, so I say bring it back and bring it on!!!!
Yeah me too! 1993 in Orlando, it was when Off the Ground was released

I had hoped for a revolving set list from one night to the next; we've been asking for that since 2002 or 2005 here, but I get the impression it is back to a static set list. Which is okay for now. I'm just glad he's touring honestly and it's still by far the greatest show on Earth. When you add it the fact he's throwing in all these new songs, it's okay it's static. Maybe he'll start swapping, which would be awesome because it keeps it exciting from night to night if you're going to more than one.

Hate to say I told ya so for "hope of deliverance" but.... SO glad we're gonna get to hear it this summer!!! I don't expect any rotation from night to night, but I guess we'll really find out after this show tonight. There are very few songs I still want out of the set, and they aren't the kind of songs he generally rotates so...

Given his history of playing certain songs only in certain countries (I'm looking at you, "Mull of Kintyre"!), you'll have to forgive our skepticism. Since he did rotate a couple of songs the last tour, I wonder if he might rotate some this tour as well. However, he didn't have as many different songs last tour, so it's possible he will stick to the same setlist every night ("Every Night"...now there's a song I miss!).

Tonight's setlist should really be like the final deciding factor in any potential change for this set. It's two nights in the same city, so if there is any mixing to be done, now is the time. Still holding out for "Michelle" in DC...I know you are too Jen!!!

If I were betting...I would say that "Maybe I'm Amazed and "And I Love Her" would be the likely "changes" for second night shows. Possibly with "Let 'Em In" and ""I've Just Seen a Face".

Ouch...that would be anti-climatic! BUT, very logical nonetheless.

I wouldn't mind "The Word" in place of "Day Tripper"!
-
I would SO take that one! Day Tripper is rockin' for sure...but one of the few still on the set I'm tired of. Can't Buy Me Love would be warmly welcome in that spot too!!
-
Can't Buy Me Love would fit so well in the Day Tripper slot!

I am really disappointed that there was not more Beatles in the setlist last night.
