They are playing Let Me Roll It with a new feel; faster, swinging it a bit, straight into a blistering Foxey Lady.
Foxy Lady has been part of the song for several tours now, I can't even remember when he first added it.
I remember it was the second night in 2005 shows. Not present in 2002. Foxey has a beefed up production since 2012, similar to Back In The USSR ending. In 2011 and 2012, Paul was still doing the teaser of ending LMRI, but now he goes straight into it.
No doubt it is a great tune, and the band enjoy playing it.

Paul has blatantly said time after time that he stops playing a song when him and the band are tired of it, and they keep a song in the set because they love playing it. Then, there are the elite few that are "untouchable"...Hey Jude...Let it be...yesterday...band on the run...live and let die I love talking about the setlist but everyone on here gets hung up on the same damn "issue" over and over again on here.
:
They got tired of playing HOPE OF DELIVERANCE after four shows? Sounds weird to me, but if that's their choice, they got tired of it, ok. Aren't they tired of LET ME ROLL IT yet? That wasn't even a hit.

Wix what "issue" are you referring to??
-
I don't because those live performances made me appreciate those songs even more! Speaking of Highway and Sing The Changes.

It first appeared back in 03 and it's got gradually longer since!

Oh I'm hoping for Hope of Deliverance.... also wish to hear Sun is Shining, Celebration, Tequilla, anything from the sound check, that we never get to hear!! Couldn't afford it again this year and could have had 3rd row!!
But am going to Italy where I'll need binoculars, but it will be awesome to be in an arena under the stars listening to my favourite musician ever, with a good friend of mine!!! Just heard Tom Petty doing a night at the Beacon Theater. He had a thread asking for requests, and then he played 3 of the 5 songs I requested!!! It was so exciting
Songs that I had never thought I would hear him ever perform!!! Covers even!!! Such as Willin by Lowell George from Little Feat!!! (I asked for that one) The true fans WENT WILD with happiness... He only played about 3 of his hits the whole show. Probably the best show I've been to in a long time!! It was a smaller venue and probably wouldn't work in a stadium setting. Elvis Costello is another one with his Spin the Wheel tour. Love that every night is a different show!! So cool...

They may have gotten tired of seeing crowd reactions that were less than the rest of the set, when he has Beatles songs that can keep the reactions at the concert high. Obviously Paul REALLY likes "Let Me Roll It"...and I'm glad he does!

I've seen him do it eight times. Would love to see him do it in Albuquerque. If not, I am quite ok never seeing him do it again.

Hey? Just thought I'd get this thread ready for tomorrow? Saving Martin some sweat on creating the thread. We have one confirmed song that was played tonight at the rehearsal, and the platform is right in the same spot as the rehearsal photos. The confirmed song is "Let 'Em In" Just 24 hours and counting....
I will be very interested reading the reviews of McCartney's concerts at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn NY. The NY media has seen McCartney quite a bit the last few years so I wonder what they may say about set list for this tour.

NY LOVES Paul. After 9-11 concert and 12-12-12, they wouldn't dare diss Paul. They don't they love him. I get the scoop. My cousin is a NY Times writer.

Hardly objective though is it? a writer should write about whats new,not whats passed and great the good that was done it should be about whats there on the night warts and all.

Excellent points, the review should be about the performance that night. The reason I mentioned the set list is because NY media has seen McCartney a bunch the last 10-15 years. They are not like other cities who have never seen him or it has been 20 years so they think something like "Here Today" is something new - lol. I am just wondering if they think the set list for this tour is "minty" fresh and if they like the new song selections.

they are talking about the Brooklyn, NY concerts which are happening this weekend. Looks like Paul zipped into Vienna, yes, but he has to be back in NYC by Saturday.

Opening of an exhibit of Linda's photos there.
