Set List critique

For those who have tickets for Paul's last 5 shows in 2015 ...could they be in store for some real treats. The fact that Paul has kept such a low profile (except for the PETA show) over the last 6 weeks or so, gives me hope that Paul is doing some real rehearsing with his band. Think about it, have we seen anything in the papers or TV about Paul appearances etc. He normally really gets around with other artists etc. Could this mean that Paul would throw in a couple of his great Tug of War songs for these last shows. Here would be my dream choices that have never been done live: Take It Away The Pound is Sinking Ballroom Dancing Someone Who Cares Anyone of the above would be great. Of course, I would love Tug of War (the song) or Wanderlust but I wonder if Paul's 2015 voice could handle those.

If he did several of those in a show Ii would actually be excited about seeing him live again !!

"Of course, I would love Tug of War (the song) or Wanderlust but I wonder if Paul's 2015 voice could handle those." Not trying to be mean but he does "Maybe I'm Amazed' and his 2015 voice really is not up to doing that song well. I think the easiest song for him to do off "Tug Of War" would be "Take It Away".

"Why another John Lennon song?? Paul has so many of his own great songs he doesn't play." It is bad enough he does "For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite", let's do some solo stuff !!

2015 Paul would murder Tug Of War and Wanderlust.

________________________________________________________ My gut feel also regarding Paul singing Wanderlust and Tug of War (the song) . I agree with yankeefan that Take It Away might be the easiest. If Abe helped during the "Hear Me lover..." part than I think Paul could sound good singing "the Pound is Sinking". Same thing with Ballroom Dancing. With Abe helping on certain parts, Paul could sing Ballroom Dancing pretty good I think. I have no basis for thinking that Paul might add some Tug of War songs other than it just sounds logical and he has been out of the news lately. It's just such a shame he didn't add songs like Wanderlust and /or Tug of War back in 2002 or 2005 when his voice could handle these songs.

Not a chance. I'd love it...but the only thing we'll hear from the new archive additions is "Here Today"..........

"It's just such a shame he didn't add songs like Wanderlust and /or Tug of War back in 2002 or 2005 when his voice could handle these songs." I agree. TOW was one of his most critically acclaimed albums and he basically ignored it. He did "Ebony and Ivory" on one tour and like I have said numerous times "Here Today" is only done because it is a tribute to Mr. Lennon. I have never understood not doing "Take It Away" since it was top 20 single and good uptempo song.

Wish he'd put back All My Loving - perfect for his voice range...I could definitely live without Ob La Di - but I'll settle for anything in his concert! Something is always moving, but I just love hearing Queenie Eye!

Observing what is hopefully the last leg of the Out There tour, I'd like to see the following removed before a NEW outing... Eight Days a Week Save Us Temporary Secretary Paperback Writer Maybe I'm Amazed My Valentine I've Just Seen a Face And I Love Her Eleanor Rigby Lady Madonna Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite! Helter Skelter Just 13 songs...and as far as what to add? Some BEATLE ideas...I know, we all want solo and Wings. But if we accept the reality that easily 60-70% of the show will always be Beatles, we'll be much happier when he decides to dust some of these off again (or for the first time)! Beatles: -All My Loving (I know, played a lot...but I really do love it live!) -Things We Said Today (Consistent Spot) -She's a Woman -I'll Follow The Sun -What You're Doing -You Won't See Me -Michelle (Consistent Spot) -Here, There, and Everywhere -Good Day Sunshine -For No One -Penny Lane (Consistent Spot) -Getting Better -The Fool on The Hill -Your Mother Should Know -I Will (Consistent Spot) -Mother Nature's Son -Two of Us (Consistent Spot)

^ From your list I'd rather have Temporary Secretary & Save Us to remain in the line up. TS has just been added & many of us haven't heard Save Us live yet. If all you want is more/different Beatles songs just swap your list for some of the ones he has in there now & are getting old & tired.
-
From Beatles era I would like to hear: Wait-From me to you and Maxwell Silver hammer.

Equally so, "All My Loving" "Michelle" "Your Mother Should Know" and "I Will" are the only ones I've heard live on the list I presented. Swapping them for the old tired ones is pretty much what I suggested. The only non-Beatle songs were "Save Us" "Temporary Secretary" "My Valentine" and "Maybe I'm Amazed". Save us has been in the show three full years now. Temporary Secretary has gotten pretty mixed reviews. My Valentine has been in the show FOUR fell years now...and Maybe I'm Amazed.......YIKES!

I would rather hear Junior's Farm or Only Mama Knows than Save Us. They are better songs. IMO.

It baffles me that a guy who's had TWO hit singles in the past year is content opening his show with "Eight Days A Week." It's like Madonna opening with "He's So Fine." Befuddles me.

"Save Us" has been in the show two years this month, actually. But your point stands.
