Set List critique

Well, he's running out of non-played Beatles songs.. and unfortunately that doesn't mean he'll do more solo songs So I guess he'll recycle some from 93-02-05 tours, or play more John's songs.
I fear you are correct. And I expect it.
-
moptops:
He'll probably milk more John Lennon songs... :
They only wrote about 200 of the greatest songs of all time together.

200? Not by a long shot. There are that many songs with both their names on it. That means John could have done Yesterday. And Paul could do Give Peace A Chance. Wait, he already has done that.

Way too many slow songs. And I doubt the voice would hold up on beware my love

I've been thinking on a realistic setlist for a 2016 tour and this is what I come up with, mixing songs from previous tours, rehearsed and some new. 1- Drive My Car 2- Save Us 3- PS I Love You 4- With a little luck 5- Let Me Roll It 6-Paperback Writer 7- Martha My Dear 8- Let 'Em In 9- The Long and Winding Road 10- My Love 11- Here, There & Everywhere 12- Things We Said Today 13- FourFiveSeconds 14- Till there was you 15- Every Night 16- Hope for the Future 17- I Will 18- Blackbird 19- Here Today 20- New 21- Your mother should know 22-Lady Madonna 23- For no one 24- The fool on the hill 25- When I'm 64 26- Eleanor Rigby 27- Something 28- Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da 29- Band on the Run 30- Back in the U.S.S.R. 31- Let It Be 32- Live and Let Die 33- Hey Jude Encore 1: 34- The Night Before 35- Beware My Love 36- I Saw Her Standing There //// Get Back Encore 2: 37- Yesterday 38- Birthday 39- Golden Slumbers / Carry that weight / The End Again, not what I'd like him to play, but what I think might be possible.
I'd definitely nix the first 3 songs...and regards the rest; far too many recycled numbers and war horses still in that list. Still, you might be close to spot on!
-
To hear something different would be cool a "Mccartney piano and voice tour" like the last of Prince!
-
Except Prince being younger still has his voice strength where Paul from time to time struggles. I'm the first one screaming for set list shake up but I doubt a tour like Prince's has even a remote chance of happening

Well, yeah! It is a dream. Why would I post the actual set list he is going to play, which the same old one?
-
I would like to find in the next setlist many Beatles first period composition, never performed live by Paul like : "From me to you" "She loves you" " I wanna hold your hand" and would be so cool also some cover like "A taste of honey" and "Some other guy".

These days, Paul plays songs casual Beatle fans will recognize. Therefore, your first three songs will always be possible, the last two, never.
-
It's encouraging to hear Paul McCartney performing "FourFive Seconds," and I've got crazy-respect for Macca's bold decisions to blow the dust off of "Temporary Secretary" and "Looking For Changes" -- but as far as buying a ticket to his concerts, those days are over for me, I'm afraid. There are just too, too, too, too many songs in his set that if I never again, it would still be too soon for me.

I don't know that A Taste of Honey or Some Other Guy are any less recognizable then One After 909 or Another Girl to the casual fan. Certainly Temporary Secretary challenges that view. Unless of course you are referring to only Beatle tracks To be fair, tho, its hard for me to really gauge as all Beatle tracks have been part of my brains soundtrack for decades

If Paul plays A Taste of Honey and/or Some Other Guy in 2016, I'll eat my hat, or go buy a hat and eat it, since I don't wear a hat!

I wouldn't mind "Some Other Guy."

I wouldn't mind "Some Other Guy."
Who wouldn't? But he's not going to play it. Has he ever sound checked it or rehearsed it? Just wondering, since people are bringing it up.

Paul played "Some other guy" in 1993 soundcheck in Milan: http://www.bootlegzone.com/album.php?name=milan-scheck-93§ion=3#T2N0
