Out There Tour Merch

I don't see a lot of color in these shirts. I love it when there is one that is red or blue or orange or some unique color. I have too many black or white ones!

I think those photos are from 2013; I swear that someone had a photo of more recent shirts from this year's shows, because I remember at least one new style. Carlos, was that you? There was a link to the Japanese merch but it's been disabled.

Hi there! I was wondering if you know if the merch stands supply poster tubes? I was going to buy a poster but did not know if I should bring my own tube or not. Thanks so much!

I don't know what it's like in the US, but no tubes are provided at merch stands in South America. In fact, even the posters given out to those who paid for the soundcheck package do not come in tubes.

I always take pictures of the merch stands here in South America, as I believe people are curious about those. Each country had a slightly different selection of items, including grey sweaters and baseball hats (not seen in my pictures).

ah, thank you! I knew I had seen new designs somewhere.

You're welcome! Let's hope someone will take pictures of the official merchandise available at the upcoming US shows.

Actually, in Osaka, on the evening May 24th there was a gathering of of Paul fans outside of Nagai Stadium and there was a group of about a dozen who had actually scored cool yellow, red, black official t-shirts from the postponed Budokan show. I may have a picture to post when I get home from my travels in a couple of weeks but I hope they keep the same design and color scheme for the upcoming tour. Although something tells me these were special for that show.

Right after he cancelled those shows there were some Ts on ebay. But just the regular ones...maybe not even official.

The new 2014 tour items are up for sale on Paul's main site. A lot of new items!

Thanks, now look what I have found! http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=89077 By the way, these same t-shirts were being sold at lower prices (20%-30% less) in South America. I wonder why they are charging more from the US fans?

Nice find. Difference in cost is the difference in "cost of living".

It makes sense. Prices are usually higher in Brazil than in other South American countries as well.

Last time I bought one of Paul's shirts at a concert it was $25.00. Now up to $40.00! Ridiculous!

I wonder why the twilight event shirts are only for Albany, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Fargo, Lincoln, Kansas City, Lubbock, Dallas, and New Orleans? It skipped random places like Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Missoula and went all the way to some of October's dates. And I am guessing that Los Angeles and San Francisco will have different shirts? I wonder what is up with that..

WOW!...I think I'll be getting the new black shirt with dates (70's macca at piano) and the new keychain for 2014. There's a lot of other stuff I'd like to get but I just don't know...four buttons for $15....I have a lanyard for every tour but for $20...yikes....the lunchbox and beach towel are unique as well but the price is just NOT right. Maybe if they're still left at Christmastime I'll do some asking....
-
Didn't someone mention red or yellow shirts? Maybe that was for Budakan.
-
Sadly the quality of the t-shirts doesn't justify the price to me and the programs are too expensive also. Will settle on the concert and VIP goodies and be done.

Interesting to see your comment about the quality of the t-shirts. I have about 7 shirts purchased from 2010 to 2013 and mine are all still in great shape even after wearing/washing them tons of times. Have you had bad luck with some of yours?

I've had mixed qualities. I bought two shirts in '09. One looks brand new, the other I don't even wear anymore because the decal would probably disintegrate. The same scenario for the two shirts I bought in 2010. 2011 & 2012 I slimmed down to one shirt per year, those are both VERY thin shirts, but the decals have held. In 2013 I got back to two shirts and they're probably the best two I've bought so far. I find it interesting also that in 2009 the shirts were $30, then in 2010 they jumped to $40 and have maintained. The quality hasn't changed $10 worth in my opinion, so is this just fan exploitation? :
