Anyone think this will lead to some NA east coast dates? I'd love to go to Roo for Paul and Bjork, but flight prices don't look to good.
Could well be. I don't think he's ever performed in the US without some sort of tour, however brief.
Paul's performance at the Concert For New York City in 2001 was a "one off" with no other U.S. cities getting shows. On a related topic, not to add to the rumor mill, but James will be closing out his U.S. tour in Nashville, Tennesee a day or so prior to the festival.

Let it be known that I am starting the "Ringo at Bonnaroo" rumor.

I tell you what Macca needs to add to the set this year...Rocky Raccoon!! He was doing Mumford before Mumford were even born! It'd go down a treat at a Festival, the wannabe trendies would dig it!

Wouldn't the headliner close the festival (June 16)? I am assuming that Paul is regarded as such.
I'm pretty sure Paul's playing the Friday night, Radiohead were top of the bill last year and they played the Friday.
Altho the year Springsteen & Phish were both there, Bruce played Saturday and Phish played Sunday, I think. Paul did play Friday night at Coachella, tho. I don't think Bonnaroo are going to announce the actual schedule for another month or two, tho. So I think all the tickets that are being sold now are for the full weekend.

For what it's worth, at Paul's last two "festival" appearances, Glastonbury in 2004 and Coachella in 2009, he played full sets. The set lists consisted of both "rockers" and "ballads". In addition, at both shows he performed new songs..."Follow Me" in '04, and in '09 "Highway" and "Sing The Changes" from the newly released Fireman cd.

Tickets go on sale Feb 23rd. Price level 1 (cheapest) is sold out. All details on the site.
There must've been a pre-sale.
It must have literally happened in the hours between the announcement of the line-up until a little while ago, as I hope people aren't buying tickets for a show when they don't know who's playing.
There are thousands who go because of the cultural/social experience, regardless of who's playing. Especially those who've made friends via the event. Still, I'm nervous that the cheapest package is already gone.
This certainly isn't for the budget minded McCartney fan, since just getting in costs as much as the top-priced ticket for a regular concert. I guess you would really have to be into the rest of the scene.
-
All I meant is that I don't want the thing to sell out within the first few seconds after the tix go on sale. I'll pay for whatever is available.

Wonder if Paul will show up and decide to drop Junior's Farm from the set list a mere sixty miles from Nashville. I remember fans there were disappointed in 2010 when he didn't do it when playing there then, then in 2011 it makes it into the set when in cities other than where it was recorded. For the sake of those going (I won't be among them) here's hoping Junior hangs around and maybe even brings Sally G along as well!!!!!

I can't believe it, I've been to 9 of the first 11 bonnaroos (I missed 2006 and 2012) & I will not be able to make it to bonnaroo 2013 as my wife and I are hoping to go to Europe June and July this year. If anyone has any questions at all about bonnaroo do not hesitate to ask me and I hope I will be some help any of you good people have a great bonnaroo experience.

PAUL'S FESTIVAL APPEARANCES THIS CENTURY: 2004- Glastonbury 2007- iTunes Festival (Hey, it counts) 2009- Coachella 2010- Isle of Wight 2010- Hard Rock Calling 2011- Yasalaam Festival 2013- Bonnaroo ?????? Who knows ??????

Not sure if 12.12.12 counts. Otherwise, The Concert For NYC should be on your list, too -- but that doesn't count either. Those were not annual festival-events -- they were charity concerts that were organized (coincidentally, both by Paul), following tragic events.

Yeah, the more I think about it... It was a one night only thing. Maybe it's best to leave it out.

We'll be in Orange Beach, AL that week so we wont be able to make it either. Am betting he does some sort of tour this summer though.
Good news: YouTube streamcasts Bonnaroo in real-time every year.
Phew! Those of us not willing to brave the heat can watch it with a cool drink.
This is my saving grace! I'd really LOVE to go but I just don't know if I could swing it (travel, admission, food, etc.) I wish they had one-day admission options available!

2008- Liverpool Sound (with other artists) This wasn't a festival. We had to listen to the Zutons and Kaiser Chiefs before Paul but it was not a festival.

Yup, I agree. The concert in Dublin 3 years ago also had support acts, also don't consider that one as a festival. The only proper festivals (3/4 days, multiple stages) he ever was booked for are: Glastonbury 2004 Coachella 2009 Isle Of Wight 2010 [short set] Bonnaroo 2013

Anybody manage to get tickets?

Bonnaroo's site is going berserk, due to high-demand...still waiting to get tix. Getting error messages, etc. :
