Welcome to the NEW Maccaboard!
-
It’s getting better all the time! Earlier this year PaulMcCartney.com was re-built from the ground up with a brand new design and layout, and today we are proud to launch the new and improved Maccaboard forum too.
Along with updating the look of the site, we've tuned up and tightened some strings behind-the-scenes, moving it to a whole new platform which makes the site faster, greener and more mobile-friendly.
If you’ve previously signed up to the Maccaboard don’t worry, it may have had a makeover but your profile (including your posts and private messages) have been brought through. You’ll just need to reset your password on your first visit to the site to gain access.
If you have any issues receiving a password reset email, please contact webmaster@paulmccartney.com for assistance.
We hope you enjoy it, and we welcome any feedback or questions you may have – reply to our topic or by getting in touch on social media.
All the best!

@paulmccartneycom When I went to the thread showing Paul on magazine covers, I had it set to Newest First, but it did not show the most recent post. It showed the oldest. Had to scroll up forever to find the newest. Sorry, but I loved the old forum and really dislike this new one.

Test. Trying the reply button. Also checking to see if there is a spell checkr.

What about youtube videos? Testing one.

I don't know why you are so proud. I can't seem to access my long established username....why should that seemingly be so complicated???? I'm informed it's already taken. Yeah, by me!!!! I tried just entering a new password...to access it but all that got me was to adopt a new username (because the one I already have is already taken...by me) which I don't want to do. You can see you stuck an "O" at the end of my actual user name to create a new one......which I don't want!!

@beatles4ever-0
Try to email the webmaster for help. I did that from my yahoo email & actually got help to sign in. -
@Beatles4Ever-0 Like Oobu24 said, contact the webmaster (email is in the first post). They do respond and have been very helpful in resolving issues with usernames, email and access to the forums.
-
@beatles4ever-0 I tried to retrieve my original user name (Nancy R) which was through a different email address. They never sent an email to that address. I originally joined in Mar. 2011 but last year due to not being able to read any new posts or respond except in old threads, I had to switch to NJR which fortunately I had created in 2018 and saved the password. Hope the webmaster can help you.

@ladyleslie Thank you!
-
@njr Thank you!

Can the print be made darker? It is grey and harder to read than if it was black.
-
Thanks to the MPL team for helping me to regain access to my account.
This new forum looks better than the old one but I haven't been able to find my private messages yet.
-
@5th-beatle When you get a pm a small red number will appear at the top right by the bell. The little "bubble" next to your ID pic is for PMs
-
@oobu24 Thank you, but I meant all the old private messages. They're not available now but they were before this new version of Maccaboard. Hopefully soon.
-
I like this new Maccaboard. It just takes time to get started. But after that it rolls like on wheels.
@NJR -
5th Beatle I see what you mean now. Good point!
-
@oobu24 The bubble took me to a “room” where different people could enter and post if they wanted. It is something brand new. The PM section for replying to or sending new PMs is the bell icon.
ETA: Okay, I see you can also get to all the old PMs by clicking on the bubble. -
Figured out through Lady Leslie’s instructions how to make print darker. Click on your profile pic top right, click settings, then select Readable under Select A Skin.

Hello Maccaboard users!
Thank you for your patience, we are listening to what the fans said and taking on your feedback.
We have already disabled upvoting as requested and are also investigating features such as bringing back pages to topics and a darker default text colour. We are still in the ‘Early Days’ of the new platform, so please be patient in changes and responses.
