Ever since Paul FINALLY did "Oh! Darling!" live a couple weeks ago, I've been imagining what kind of show I dream of him doing if he had his full, current songbook and his 1973 voice. Totally impossible, of course, but if it could be, my fantasy show would be something like this. Since I don't think he's ever done it on tour, we start out with Paul on piano...

      • Single Pigeon

      • Ballroom Dancing

      • Vintage Clothes

      • Friends to Go

      • On My Way to Work

      • Junior's Farm

      • Ever Present Past

      • Getting Closer

      • Dominoes

      • Get on the Right Thing

      • The World Tonight

      • Try Not to Cry

      • You Won't See Me

      • People Want Peace

      • Eat At Home

      • I've Just Seen a Face

      • Sally G

      • Rocky Raccoon

      • Put It There

      • One of These Days

      • Mull of Kintyre

      • Baby's Request

      • Your Mother Should Know

      • Do It Now

      • Women and Wives

      • Beautiful Night

      ENCORES

      • Young Boy

      • Old Siam Sir

      • Wanderlust

      • Oh! Darling!

Yeah, I know, we'll never see it and even if he wanted to he couldn't pull off a lot of these songs now. But I'd empty my bank account to see a show like this.

@bruce-m We could all come up with a great set list we would have loved to see him do when his voice was much stronger. Sadly, Paul had no desire to ever try most of the excellent songs you mentioned. As for "Oh Darling", it was done only because Chrissie Hynde requested it and thankfully, she did most of the singing. Paul is 80 now and any further performances will follow his same pattern. It is nice though to still have dreams of what he could have done live, oh well -lol

Yep, we all could post a dream setlist. And most of us would insert many more songs from his solo career but we'll never see it...unfortunately.

For sure, he could never pull off Oh! Darling! solo now. The duet worked because Hynde did the heavy lifting. But it's fun to dream.

              @bruce-m that's a good set list ✌️

I had to throw away my golf shoes. Why? Because I had a hole in one.
