Based on that, this is a realistic - well... - setlist for a new tour, plus a few rotation songs for fun: Coming Up Take It Away? ?into? Jet She?s A Woman / Getting Better / You Won't See Me My Brave Face Can?t Buy Me Love The World Tonight / Young Boy For No One Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five Martha My Dear Maybe I'm Amazed I've Just Seen A Face / Mother Nature's Son / I'll Follow the Sun We Can Work It Out Hope Of Deliverance Alligator / Friends To Go And I Love Her Blackbird (some story about civil rights might be fun) In My Life New Your Mother Should Know Lady Madonna I've Had Enough / Smile Away / Girls' School With A Little Luck You Never Give Me Your Money Here, There And Everywhere Penny Lane The Back Seat Of My Car Band On The Run I Want To Hold Your Hand Let It Be Live and Let Die Hey Jude Silly Love Songs (encore break, lights off, intro tape plays on a loop, when beats kicks in lights go on and McCartney is playing the Rickenbacker. A boy can dream.) Another Girl / Drive My Car Hi, Hi, Hi Yesterday Helter Skelter Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End
This in an awesome setlist! But 'Let Me Roll It' must be in, it's such a great song and it's really fun to hear it live! It's like 'Let It Be' he can't drop it, but he can switch it with 'Letting Go' from time to time, that would be really great!
It would be totally okay to skip "Let Me Roll It," which he's done to death. Give it a good, long break and play something we haven't heard a million times. I get why "Hey Jude," etc. seem mandatory, but not this.

I agree. I think the only reason why he has kept the song is so that Paul can show off his guitar playing skills. But he can pick so many other songs if he wants to do that!

A critic once opined it was a classic. Paul doing John Lennon. Well, when Paul got wind of that... He ain't NEVER gonna stop "wheeling" it out to us.

Yep. And the entirely predictable opening..."1...2.....3........4!!!"

How about.... Helen Wheels?

Helen Wheels would work!

Yes! And it is low enough that he could sing it well.
-
Hearing the new remix, I hope he adds Tug Of War.

Exactly. And although not of the album, it DID appear on BOTR in the USA. He likes to play songs from that album, and it would probably be just as well known as Junior's Farm. If he's done Junior's, Hi Hi Hi and C Moon, an excellent chance Helen Wheels surfaces too. (Actually, I'd REALLY love to hear Sally G live, but that's never gonna happen!)

I was sort of expecting that one as a surprise at the Nashville 2010 show, but alas...

Mmmm...there was a bit of board chatter about it, and if he was ever going to do it, Nashville was the place. Alas, indeed.

I would be surprised if any new songs enter the set list. But anything is possible.

Macca's band needs to stage an intervention.

There are so many Solo songs that I wish Paul would play...some that he has never played before. Since he did Temporary Secretary earlier this year, why doesn't Paul and Band do: Ever Present Past Reasons: #1...It is a great song #2...I think that Paul could sing it well #3...Love the lyrics #4...Much better song than Temporary Secretary

The single was a modest success in the U.S., reaching #16 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart and getting at least a bit of radio play. Chances are more people in the audience would recognize it than would recognize Temporary Secretary (though there would still be plenty of blank stares, alas).

That is one of my top solo choices as well (along with "With A Little Luck" and "No More Lonely Nights"), with "You Won't See Me" and "What You're Doing" being my Beatles picks.

_______________________________________________________ Bruce, Never realized that it actually got to #16. More than anything, it has that classic Macca "Pop hook" that even non Solo fans could like almost instantly. What frustrates me about Paul's live shows is that he has a number of Solo songs (including Ever Present Past) that could be given "new life" by just playing them live. As I mentioned, Paul shouldn't have any problem singing this one with his 73 year old voice and it has good, clever lyrics. It is one of Paul's best solo songs in my opinion. I know I might get crushed for saying this but I would rather Paul sing "Ever, Present Past" and create some excitement to his setlist that have him struggle with "Maybe I'm Amazed" which is clearly out of his range at this point.
