Great article on Ringo. http://www.musicradar.com/news/drums/ringo-rocks-black-crowes-steve-gorman-625462 Love the comment by Levon Helm (referring to Ringo)...."He'd make a cardboard box sound right....no one can play like him." I am always amused by journalists and "musician wanna-bes" and yes, even some board members here who disregard Ringo's playing, whereas legitimate artists speak admiringly of his talent, and rate him as one of the most influential drummers of all time.

Ringo is an amazing drummer. To be the drummer in the greatest band, he had to be.

I don't think Ringo is rich. I consider him broke. He is Rich(ard) on drums.

Thanks RMartinez for the link, I remember reading another link that said that Ringo is the richest drummer in the world. Its only fitting that Ringo's the richest drummer in the world, he was in the greatest band of all-time!! Take care.

Before Ringo was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame this year, there was a short film shown - it featured several drummers such as Max Weinberg, Dave Grohl, Green Day's drummer Tre Cool, Stewart Copeland - all of them sitting behind Ringo's drum kit and explaining why they think he is such a great drummer. It's a very cool little film and it was included in the HBO broadcast of the induction ceremony. Unfortunately I don't think there is a standalone copy of it on YouTube to link to.

It's a failed play with words. I'm better at it in Norwegian. Well, at least a little more gold between the embarrassments. ops:

Yeah, what's fun about hearing musicians talk about musicians they admire is that they can reason for what they hear. It's not just Ringo is a great drummer because he sold many records!

Ringo was the Beatles' drummer. That's all we need to know.

I saw him in concert last year and he put on a great show. I'll admit Ringo wasn't my favorite Beatle but I loved his show. Greg Rollie was great on piano too.

I have seen Ringo three times in Albuquerque and he is great! I love when he gets behind the kit, it sounds just like him!
