Best Wings Live Line Up

Which line up of Wings do you think sounded the best as a live act? Do you think Paul, Linda, and Denny Laine sounded better live with Denny Seiwell/Henry McCullough, Jimmy McCulloch/Joe English, or Laurence Juber/Steve Holley?

Since Paul was still at his peak vocally in 1976, I really liked that lineup of Jimmy, Denny and Joe English the best.
Don’t get me wrong, he could still sing wonderfully up until about 2005, which is (for me) when the slow decline began. I didn’t get to see him that year, but I did in 2002 and was blown away how good he still sounded!
I truly loved Henry McCullough’s guitar solo on My Love though!
Denny Seiwell, Laurence Juber and Steve Holley I never saw in concert until many years later at Abbey Road On the River and/or a Beatles get-together in Riviera Maya, Mexico in 2014 (5 night all-inclusive at the Hard Rick Hotel), and later in 2019 at the Fest For Beatles Fans in Chicago. (Denny Laine was there too - 4 Wings members!) They’re all great! It’s like trying to pick your favorite child! -

I saw him in Atlanta that fall and remember being shocked at how Jenny Wren sounded.

It's hard to judge, having only seen the 1976 lineup in person. From the clips I've seen of the other Wings incarnations, they seemed perfectly fine, but that's an incomplete sample at best. Joe English was quite a good singer, in addition to his drumming, and I don't think the other Wings drummers were his equal in that regard -- though they never got the chance to sing lead as Joe did in "Must Do Something About It."
