Well, I understand the complaints about the vinyl releases, but there are some people who didn't get to buy them upon first release, and for a while some of the titles were OOP. As for me, I broke down and bought the entire colored vinyl collection, so Merry Christmas to me when it arrives.

Paul McCartney's 40 Greatest Solo Songs
According to Rolling Stone magazine - http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/paul-mccartneys-40-greatest-solo-songs-w493547 The first thing that leaps out is how criminally underrated "Mull of Kintyre" is on this list. #37? RS ranks "The Back Seat of My Car," "Angry" amongst many others higher than that. 2/3 of the list, 27 songs in all were recorded in the 70s.

RE: Beatles next reissue project
Well, we have conflicting stories from Giles about a White Album reissue.
The Beatles' people said at the media listening session not to expect a steady stream of 50th anniversary collections, noting that they'd already passed on the chance to do similar things for "Rubber Soul and "Revolver." But of course people would like the same sort of anniversary treatment for the White Album and "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be" that this got. Are you at liberty to say if you've worked on anything or talked about working on anything? No, honestly, I haven't worked on anything or talked about anything. I think we have to see how this is received, you know. Ever since the "Love" album, people have been asking me to get involved in remixing stuff. And I think that at a certain point, you've got to be careful that you're doing it for the right reasons, and watch your motivation, (that you're not doing it) just for the sake of doing it. That's always my question. But listen, obviously I'd be honored to be involved in anything. But there've been no discussions.

RE: Beatles channel to debut on Sirius/XM
I have all their works as a group and solo, on vinyl, CD, you name it, so yeah (yeah, yeah), I could grab any of them and play at any time. Having said that, I am thoroughly enjoying the channel shuffling them up and selecting them for me including some songs I haven't played in years. "Breakfast with the Beatles" is great as well as the "Fab Forum."

RE: Beatles channel to debut on Sirius/XM
Since I don't spend that much time in a car everyday, I bought the SiriusXM soundstation which is for home use only and a monthly streaming package. I only wish the sound station had an aux out feature so I could play it through my Bose wave radio or my stereo amplifier instead of a mono speaker. #firstworldproblems. My friend has had a satellite account for 10 years with them and loves it. However, he told me he had a lot of problems getting the portable satellite radio to work in his house, so he recommended that I get the wifi radio instead. At home, he relies on his Ipad to listen on his satellite account. It took a Beatles channel to get me to take the plunge.

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
While not technically a Beatles item, I just purchased a SIRIUSXM sound station so I can listen to the Beatles channel 18 all day while at home. The Sgt. Pepper deluxe 6 disc set and 2 disc vinyl are also on order.

RE: Paul, on your next tour, please come to ____________ .
Nancy R:
Atlanta! You haven't been here since Oct. 15, 2014!
Baltimore first. He hasn't played there since 1964 with the Beatles. We've waited long enough

RE: Sgt. Pepper re-issue
Steve Marinucci has photos on his blog http://beatlesheadlines.blogspot.com/2017/04/first-look-at-sgt-pepper-anniversary.html?utm_source=&utm_medium=&utm_campaign= Yes, I know June 1st is a Thursday, but how cool would it have been to release it on that day? #firstworldproblems Pre-orders already placed.

RE: Sgt. Pepper re-issue
No, you don't drop two songs to add "Strawberry Fields" and "Penny Lane." If the Beatles can release "Let it Be Naked" I don't see Sgt Pepper's (the greatest album of all time) as so sacrosanct that those two songs can't be added. The question is where? You don't just add them to the end of the album. "A Day in the Life" is the only proper way to go out. (Yes, I know about the gibberish in the inner groove). Announce the reissue already...oh, and shut up and take my money.

RE: THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL
Usually in these sets they announce what's upcoming, but this time they didn't - just go to Paul McCartney.com. Since he seems to be going in chronological order, skipping over a few albums, I wonder what will be next. I'm disappointed he skipped over "Londontown" and "Press to Play," in particular. My guess for what's next, if there is one, will be "Flaming Pie," which is the last record that included contributions from Linda.

RE: How many different songs have you seen live @ Maccas gigs?
10 shows since 1989, 120 different songs. Still waiting on "Uncle Albert" *sigh*

RE: Ringo wants to tour with Paul
Paul kind of shut the idea down in his latest Rolling Stone magazine interview
Would you ever consider doing a tour with Ringo? It's never come up. We come together for things like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But to actually tour together - leave well enough alone.

RE: Washington D.C. Pre-Sale link
Last night, I pulled up a seat set aside for "Live Nation" in Section 101. A quick google search for the password and $250 later I'm seeing Paul for the 10th time.
-
RE: Washington D.C. Pre-Sale link
Section 106 (end of the arena) popped up under the silver package for $475 but today my friend bought through the AMEX sale in section 110 (side of arena, closer to stage) for $250 each. Ticket prices are all over the place.

RE: Washington, DC - Verizon Center - August 9/10 - ARCHIVE
WixRocks!:
Exactly. It's always so hard to say, even when we feel like we know everything and have the experience! My hope was to get $250 seats on the floor or 100 section for the first night...and then try my luck the week of the shows and see if I could pull any VIP packages for night two that had been stripped of their goodies and brought down to face value. But at this rate, I don't see me getting in the door on August 9th...here's to a second night!
I had 5th row floor dead center in 2005 for $200 or so. This year 6th row, $1,600, oh but you get to go to soundcheck. i just can't swing that, birthday week or not. My D.C. streak is at an end.
-
RE: Washington D.C. Pre-Sale link
I just checked and of course no "regular" priced seats were available. The "silver" package seats at the far end of the arena are $475 each. I had 5th row floor dead center in 2005 for $200; the same seat is $1,600 this tour. Well, sadly, I've attended every concert in D.C. since 1990 but that streak looks very likely to end.

RE: Paul, on your next tour, please come to ____________ .
The riots will end. We could use a concert to bring the city together in a peaceful way. Baltimore has two large stadiums which would sell out in minutes. U2 sold out a 71,000 seat M&T Bank Stadium. Paul, you're performing in places that seldom, if ever, sees you. You haven't played in Baltimore since the 60s. Please Please oh yeah, come to Baltimore.
