Very well done, Bjorn, that was delightful! A sensitive yet lively, spirited rendition of a George Harrison composed minor masterpiece, really cheered me up, a wonderful surprise! I hope Claudia sees this, looks like she was in here earlier, might still be. She teaches guitar, too. (Hope you saw your Donald Duck cartoons this Christmas, Bjorn! ) I haven't heard audi's yet, didn't have time to upload it right then. I'm sure it's real good, too Please put up more of yours, Bjorn, it warms the heart and does a body good on a cold Sunday. You're very talented. Also audi and Oliver (21st century Paul). This was your vid but I didn't wish to leave them out. They've contributed a lot, too, like you. But we don't see enough of you By the way, smashing (and cute) hair style, man Those specs look cool too. Not really nerdy, not on you, anyway! Good show, Luv
Yes..you did a very nice job on that one, Bjorn! (very uplifting!)...it's always such a treat to see what you'll be playing next...you never disappoint! Oh, and I agree with Susy Q...your new glasses suit you just fine!
Always appreciate your reviews, thanks a lot! Glasses are fine with me too, I use contacts most of the time though...

I have postponed my visit to the hairdresser for too long!

I forgot to remark on that gorgeous new guitar, it's a corker! both in appearance and sound. Glad it's inspiring you to do more music
It is something, I finally decided I am going to get myself a real guitar, been using the mid-priced, mid-quality stuff for so long... I have tested so many guitars before finally deciding which one I wanted, I even voted down the Martin D-28, this was better sounding... And for the nerds out there, you know, Martin D-28 is THE guitar of so many Beatles songs! With this new baby, I am constantly finding details in songs I used to play, and that it all sounds so much better! (I have other happy news too, my future is looking so much more busy, will be a daddy in June! )

You know what, at the start of the video I heard the guitar riff and saw you playing chords and I didn't understand a thing... It's a multi-track recording but Susy, I haven't played a thing here. Some say that one must start with a cheap, bad instrument when learning to play... but when you buy some real good one you realize that "It plays by itself". An Strato plays by itself but at first you wonder if you could play it or not... well... Great, as always.
I am sure the video quality fools you Oliver, because what you hear and SEE, is only ONE guitar, the live one, that is played at the same time as I sung the lead vocal, my hand might look as it is strumming, but I am picking those string for sure! Glad you enjoyed it!

What a review, really glad you liked it Lucy! I DID see the Disney cartoons on Christmas eve I did, a tradition every year! Since I got this incredible guitar, I've been playing constantly, so might record something for ya soon again! It is like an instrument made by angels, plays all by itself, so it makes my part so much easier!

RE: Making rock/pop songs grammatically correct
I understand what Lennon was trying to say in "Run For Your Life" but it comes out pretty absurd!! "Well I'd rather see you dead, little girl Than to be with another man."

RE: THE GLOBAL WINGS THREAD
Anyhow, I actually did something the other day! I haven't touched my piano for a while, maybe rehearsing 2000 times Christmas songs at school with the kids has taken away some of my natural lust for it : ...But a nice winter holiday is good for finding lost creativity... So, late last night I switched my keyboard on again, set it for some B3 organ sound on my right, and played bass and a jazz drum sound with my left hand. I connected my portable Olympus recorder and in a minute I just did a short thing, and after that quickly added two guitars...SO, this became a track... BUT it's not a song, just me playing, I didn't use my regular stuff, no metronome or have a song structure to begin with... Yikes, is this me talking!!? (Am I crazy even letting anyone hear this!?!?) Anyhow, it was so short, so I just copied and pasted it twice , so here you go... 2.28 minutes of Bjorn in a sort of Pink Floyd/Dire Straits mode... IT's not going to be linked here for long, I might even take it away before you have had the time to listen!! CHILLED http://rapidshare.com/files/440086998/Chilled.mp3

RE: THE GLOBAL WINGS THREAD
Oliver, Fun hearing about your creative projects, so much different stuff going on! I have tons of recorded demo tracks that I never get around to do anything with...but good idea to make a list and get people to wish, perhaps could force me to do something!
21st Century Paul:
-"Rock and roll Space/Fun Tonight", kind of Space rock and roll. Kind of like a mix of ELO and Status Quo with Little Richard at the end...
Sounds like lots going on in this one, so when can we hear it!!?

RE: THE GLOBAL WINGS THREAD
Audi and Oliver, thanks for the Christmas music!! Hope everybody's holiday was as great as mine! Have been a food fiesta from day one, and now it's New Years... : Got to say, I have been like a kid going trough the impressive new Springsteen-box that I got, SO MUCH STUFF!!! I thought Macca was good at leaving songs out, but Bruce recorded 70 songs or so for his Darkness album and just used songs for two albums, so we get the rest in this box...and it's quality all through! Along with a fantastic documentary, live concerts and more. 3 blu rays, 3 CDs and a fantastic book, it's like his diary and notebook that he wrote EVERYTHING in when he in the studio over a year doing the songs, it never ends...Won't bother telling you about all the great stuff, buy it if you haven't got it!! BTW, his creativity is what shines though the whole project, inspiring to say the least! Wonder why Paul never came across The Boss?! Anyone have any clue? IT would be a fantastic thing IF that ever would occur!!

[Here Today - REMIX 2010 - Bjorn[/color">](http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_6388958]<span style=) Well, this song speaks for itself! Such a beautiful tribute from Paul, telling us how strong his love for John was! So, finding those sorts of emotions myself, was very easy, remembering loved ones that are no longer here with me...but the memories are, and those remain...
Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.
Thanks A! Here is the song for download, if someone bothers! http://rapidshare.com/files/437977500/Here_Today_-_Bjorn_-_Global_Wings.mp3
Got it! The quality of my projects pales in comparison to this. Super record. Paul would appreciate this tremendously.
My advice for you, start recording your tracks on your computer, that helps with having more control over the tracks and the quality of the output!
Audacity?
That is good, since it is for free, I use SONAR Cakewalk myself, but Audacity would do just fine!

This week, has been a creative final of the year for me in many ways, Been working on a BIG Christmas show, for a long time. I was putting up "A Christmas Carol" with 25 kids at school, that I've been working with the last two months, and a program of 15 Christmas songs with choirs and different arrangements kids playing all sorts of instruments. And finally on Tuesday evening we premiered the 2,5 h show in front in a crowded gymnastic hall, transferred to a 19th century town, really went fantastic!! Of course you never fail when parents come and see their own kids, but the performances were really great, and I even managed to keep it together , doing the presentations, being choir leader, etc. Helping the students to succeed is so fulfilling, really love the job I have! These kind of project at work are really stimulating, but maybe a reason I don't do as much songs around here. BUT I do get a three week winter holiday soon, that could lead to something good, you never know!
... And where the hell are Gary and Val anyway?????
And Temptresss, too -- for that matter???
"Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." J. Lennon. I am sure they are doing fine, but everyone that used to hang out around here, are of course missed....AND always welcome to join in whenever you have the chance!!! Any "oldie" that passes by, why don't you come in and say hi?! I am sure many people read the thread, and are satisfied just checking it out, but to anyone that is interested - welcome aboard!!

Here's my demo of "My Brave Face." MY BRAVE FACE (DEMO): http://hotfile.com/dl/89949024/5f65813/Audi_-_My_Brave_Face_(Demo_Mix_9-4-2010).mp3.html
You knew I actually couldn't wait to get my hands on this, didn't you? Here's how it should be done (IN MY OPINION). Not saying it is perfect, but you know... Oliver, I liked your "ooooooh's" (well, some of them at least), so I kept some in. http://rapidshare.com/files/437789648/Audi_-_My_Brave_Face___Eve.mp3
Great work Audi!! This is one of the songs that I've skipped doing myself purposely, so much going on, would take an eternity to complete! Evie blends in the mix nicely too! My ears almost died at first , the levels on some frequencies was not so pleasing, so I did a quick remix, taking away some of the dangerously high hissing sounds etc... http://rapidshare.com/files/437981021/Audi_-_My_Brave_Face___Eve_REMIX.mp3
Sounds very lush now! Yay!!! I was secretly hoping that you would put your inimitable stamp on it. Isn't great that we're having a lively discussion about MUSIC again?
Oh, that is easy helping out with that stuff! Just helping you get your song a bit more polished! Anyhow, we can easily slip away from the music to something completely different, that is the least problem in here!!
