I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- I just love GEORGE LOPEZ! I was late discovering his "sit-com" so I'm enjoying it immensely now. I think his mannerisms are so adorable and his comedic sense is just brilliant ...to me anyway! I can so relate to his imitations of his funny family members growing up -- I was always watching mine aswell, imitating everyone around me that I thought was amusing -- my mother just loved it!..lol Oh, and what a great smile he has -- it surely must be a Mexican trait or something -- remember Freddy Prinze?, and course the adorable Mario Lopez and who can forget the guy from 'Chips"...Eric Estrada! -- even tho' George can't stomach him cause he wouldn't shake his hand when he was a youngster..lol. Oh, and come to think of it, all of them had GREAT dimples too...that's quite a killer combo, dontcha' think? Anyway, here's a cute clip I don't think I've posted yet....Enjoy!

RE: what do you think of Dogs
At the moment I'm snuggling up in bed with my little cocker spaniel friend and my brand new lap top computer. I've never had a lap top before so this is quite marvelous to be able to relax in bed and play around with it. Still can't get these icons to go where I want them to. Hey, it worked!!

The EXORCIST Soundtrack - 'Tubular Bells' (hauntingly beautiful somehow)
this movie is a nightmaire,i couldnt sleep when i first saw this movie,i'm scared like s**t with these movies,i was afraid of satan since 12 years old .I canT understand why people like thrillers,i prefere TO watch a comedy and laught, thrillers are scaring.
Herc you made me laugh out loud!..(sorry!) not making fun ...I can appreciate what you're saying here tho'. I'm a very sensory person.. I can pick up vibes VERY strongly, and when I saw this movie for the first time in a theatre in New York, I literally had to leave half-way through the picture..the evil presence emitted from the film was so incredibly strong and unsettling. So, you're not alone---I only posted that song cause I do find the melody quite intriguing --totally aside from the film that is.
yes if you are a 15 years old kid and you are watching the movie in the night you cant sleep,i went to sleep with my dad that night i couldnt,i was afraid even him.The exorcist couldnt do anything to that little girl, yes i am a man and i am a chicken,i couldnt help it,what was wrong with that girl, yes she is an actor but really i wouldnt talk to her cause i am a big chicken .Hey people dont release movies like these and scare people, give me snowwhite anyday,do you want to be scared i dont want to be scared
I hear ya, herc! I wouldn't want to talk to Linda Blair either---I don't care how cute she may be...she still give me the creeps!!

RE: What do you like to collect?
SusyLuvsPaul:
The Toile fabrics are just lovely, Claudie, some are gorgeous as is the handmade birdhouse you exhibited. It must be wonderful to be so good with your hands, at arts and crafts, and sewing. To decorate your house with things you designed and made yourself. You've an eye and feel for textures and colors, obviously. A style I admire is eclectic "shabby chic" with different art objects and pieces of furniture jumbled together in an eclectic mix, some of the things discovered in offbeat thrift stores and flea markets, yard sales, etc. where the sellers didn't realize what it was they were selling. Like stuff you see on "Antiques Road Show" shown on educational t.v. stations. I collect books and movies.
Sorry Suze..I just saw this now. Thanks for the kind words ..I do so enjoy creating beautiful things...its' so very rewarding, the creative process that is, and it honestly gives me a real zest for living. I always like to have some project going on to keep the creative juices flowing. I'm quite familiar with the "SHABBY CHIC" style you spoke about...I aspire to it aswell, and I adore antiques meself. I have one piece I'm especially fond of...it's an oak seated coat rack and it absolutely charming...I have a pair of antique Ladies boots hanging from one of the hooks and it give such a charming character to the piece. Anyway, I'm sure you have a lovely place of your own decorated in your own unique style.

RE: QUOTE OF THE DAY
Nothing quite as freeing and exhilirating as a great bicycle ride...one of my fave pastimes in the good weather. "Bicycling is the nearest approximation I know to the flight of birds. The airplane simply carries a man on it's back like an obedient Pegasus; it gives him no wings of his own". ----Louis J. Helle, Jr.

RE: THE GLOBAL WINGS THREAD
Agree with Susy....How incredibly cool that your baby "Alice" shares the very same Birthday as Paul!! Well..congrats to you and your lovely wife...you must be beside yourself with joy I wasn't able to listen in on your song here as I have a computer glitch of some kind at the moment, but I'll certainly have a listen soon as I can. I'm sure it will be be worth the wait--you already know I think you're a very talented fellow. All the best to you and your family....hurry back soon....we miss your music here..I always look forward to whats next on your agenda.

RE: What do you like to collect?
Well as promised, Susy...these are some of the TOILE fabrics I use to make my Teddy Bears that we spoke about. It lends such an old-fashioned and romantic look that I just adore. The RED Toile' fabric featured first up on the page, in addition to the BEARS, I have designed and sewn a fitted slipcover for my Wing Chair and Ottoman aswell, to match. Also, my living room curtains are in a complimentary BLUE TOILE' pattern---both colors are great color contrast and keep the continuity of the Romantic feel throughout the room. I just love snuggling up with my amply cushioned, soft twin Toile pillows to match aswell...they just tie everything together, and put the look right over the top! Here's the page: http://www.quiltersmuse.com/toile.htm

RE: 5 things you've done today
l). I finally managed to pull out my bicycle from back of the garden shedd...it was stuck way in the back amidst the garden paraphernalia!. I rode it for about 12 miles on my fave scenic countryside route...quite a few gorgeous horse farms along the way to enjoy, as well as several massive hills to challenge your fitness and give the thighs a great workout. 2. Made a fantastic potato salad with fresh garden herbs of leeks, parsley and basil. Also, added some fresh green beans ...you'd be surprised how good they are in the salad when the whole thing is covered with Italian seasoned dressing...YUM! 3. Also did some garden weeding despite the misty rain that started coming down all the sudden...it actually felt quite good as it was rather sticky and it cooled me right off nicely. Well...that's all I can think of for now...more to come later ,I guess.
