RE: My liverpool trip video
Enjoyed that clip immensely, and the music goes without saying! I've always had a yearning to visit LIVERPOOL--something about its' charm and mystique' like quality---the ships in the harbor, the smoke on the water ,and the architecture, not to mention, first and foremost, the BEATLE points of interest, of course. It also makes me think of a quote by JOHN LENNON that I've always been fond of: "LIVERPOOL reminds me of New York...people talking rough to hide their soft hearts". Thanks for sharing that!

Anyway, always something to learn and ponder in nature, and its' many mysteries.
The only mystery there is, why haven't you opened the window and placed a couple of pieces of bird food (Bits of bread, if nothing else) on the ledge?
Ahh..well, first of all, it's a solid glass door, not a window with a ledge. I have decorative, standing birdhouses placed throughout the garden, but I don't feed the birds, perse', being advised not to, as they become to dependant on it, and thereby disrupt the Eco System. So, the birds are not looking to be fed, and I certainly don't want to encourage my little Kamikaze friend by leaving food bits outside the door...lol..so, I'm afraid the mystery still remains very much intact.
I didn't mean you should open up a birdy soup kitchen, just a once or twice time snack. Soooooo, you want the birds to become dependant for 'room' but not 'board', ehh? The "Birds" may not be lookin' to be fed but you ain't tried the one Kamikaze birdy, have you? BTW: the Eco System can't be disrupted, this planet used to be a ball of molten lava then the sky was red with deadly gas. Well, not that oxygen isn't a 100% deadly gas; it just takes O2 awhile to kill BUT...kill, it always does. Well, unless something else gets we'ins first. Now let us pray
Stay on groovin' safari, TorAhh..yes..well we all have our very own theories and unique believe systems, don't we..lol... As far as the feeding vs. the shelter issue...I see them as totally seperate. Simply providing another form of respite or refuge for the birds is perfectly in keeping with the flow of nature, imo....just as natural as the birds nestling in the bushes and trees for their enjoyment and protection. I do also have several decorative bird baths throughout the garden...the birdies just seem to relish the water and I adore watching, as they partake of their rather charming and fanciful bath rituals. Whether it be they playfully popping their heads in and out of the water or their wings all a' flutter, splashing with wild abandon, alas...it's truly one of nature's simplest, yet grandest spectacles to behold...for me anyway!

RE: How Does Your Garden Grow?
Thinking of the garden this morning and the creatures therin: I've been having the strangest encounters with a 'Robin" bird for the last several weeks now. For no apparent reason, he comes around in the wee hours of the morning, and literally thrusts himself (full-force) against my bedroom glass door window that faces the garden...startles the heck out of me!! And, it's not like he's flying into the window from mid-flight...he lands first, then rises up and crashes in repeatedly..like he's determined to come inside!! It's quite frightening actually and he shows up about the same time every day . Frankly, I'm surprised he hasn't injured himself....I've never seen anything quite like it, and I don't think it's his reflection cause I've covered things up to prevent that, and he still perservers. Anyway, always something to learn and ponder in nature, and its' many mysteries.

I also love collecting broken china pieces and charming miniature objects for crafting my MOSAIC birdhouses. I start with a basic wooden birdhouse..then the skies the limit! I've used brightly colored marbles, stones, buttons, even sparkling broken jewelry pieces for an eclectic mix, and a very three-dimensional effect. It's truly amazing what you can come up with ...takes just a little imagination with a sprinkling of creative talent...I surprise myself sometimes??!! Friends ask...is it hard to do...I say, give it a shot, and let the creative juices flow--then sit back and admire your very own, handcrafted work of art! Here's an example of what one would look like: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/69/166520096_824088a23a.jpg
WOW! BEAUTIFUL! Do you ever sell any? I'm looking for an enamel Rupert Bear charm for my bracelet.
Thanks, Gypsy!...and yes, they can be quite beautiful and so very interesting to just ponder the different shapes and bobbles and their placements on the birdhouse...always a surprise with something really special placed where you least expect it. Anyway, no, I haven't sold any as yet, but I do give them as gifts and friends seem to be very delighted to receive them. ps. the Rupert Bear charm sounds darling!

RE: How Does Your Garden Grow?
Thanks...you would be quite impressed if you saw it, I'm sure. Oh, and yes, its alway good to have some support the plants for the maximum growth possible...then they can come to fruition much more quickly and to your utmost satisfaction.

RE: How Does Your Garden Grow?
As I gaze out upon my back garden from my chair, I can scarce take it all in--its' so magnificent!!...a veritable Garden of Eden of sorts. Peonies have suddenly burst forth from their unusually huge buds this year, to reveal a smashing wave of pink blush ops: color to contrast with the already blossomed vivid Red Poppies, and rather majestic looking deep purple Veronica plants , almost commanding your attention with their stately upright stalks!! Lavender is also at its' peak at the moment, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention my most favorite delicate little herb plant Lemon Thyme, with its adorable, miniature leaves and tiny sweet lavender buds, spread out wide, cascading like a carpet round the perimeter of the garden. I just love to take it in the palm of my hand....squeezing it ever so gently, until it releases its' essence...drenching my fingers with its' heavenly scent!---then I just savor and drink in the aroma-----out of the world!!!
