TOTALLY UNEXPECTED songs/moments @ McCartney concerts

So you really thought my Paul manager idea was alright, audi, that it wasn't lame? Making a double (or even triple?) cd set out of all these unexpected songs he did that you listed and releasing it? Will be thrilled if you really thought that
-
SusyLuvsPaul:
one thrill after another, would be a slave driver crackin' that whip (laughs) "get on the ball, boy! Vit! Vit" ("vit" =French for "hurry") :
Susy....somehow I can picture you doing that??...cracking the whip an all!!..LOL...you is FONNY!! yeah, FONNY!

It has occurred to me that many people have problems with my setlist. Whether it is the lack of Wings/Solo songs, vs Beatles songs or vice versa, some people just can't be satisfied with my choices. I'll let you know that I pick the songs through a careful process called shut the *bleep* up and be happy I'm playing anything at all. This process allows me to play songs while the listener mindlessly sings along without any complaints, because I could sing the *bleeping* alphabet and you would still be in amazement. However, I will help you out by listing some songs that I'll have in my line up to sing live when Hell freezes over. Which means there is still a very slim chance that it could happen, seeing as I am capable of indeed, freezing it over. In no particular order: 10 - Baby, You Know It's True 9 - Temporary Secretary 8 - Ou Est Le Soleil 7 - Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey 6 - Monkberry Moon Delight 5 - Check My Machine 4 - Darkroom 3 - Be What You See 2 - Give Us A Chord, Roy 1 - The Other Me The reason for your affection, Paul

ROTFLMAO! I wish Paul would read that Barb!

BOYCIE:
Can't agree with you there at all, if you play the song you play it properly. If he can play bloody Dance Tonight all the way through he can play Junior's Farm complete. He did the same with Rock Show too, just as you're into it, he jumps into Jet, it's a little aggravating. It's funny how he elongates Paperback Writer, which it doesn't need, then he shortens JF and RS, it's like treating your children differently, not good.
Sorry bud, but you're off base. They're Paul's songs and if he wants to change 'em around or drop a verse that's his perogative. He's been doing that with the ending for years. Sgt Pepper's Reprise straight into The End. That's what makes a great live show. Changes from the record! And if you don't like it, to quote him: "it's my show and I'll do what I want!"
Everyone forgets the tantalising snippet of "Hello Goodbye" he tagged onto the end of Put It There in `89/`90. Everyone reads too much into things. Yes, he can do what he likes with his own s0ngs. As for "Junior`s Farm", who knows why he leaves that verse out. It`s possibly merely to make the song shorter and no other deep meaning. Since no one understands the words, there is nothing very inflammatory about them! If "cement" meant "coke", I`m sure he would say, but I`ve never heard that particular euphemism before.

I disagree with BarbB's colorful and chuckle-inducing narrative.

How dare you disagree with the man.

Although Golden Slumbers was done in 1989/90 (plus the charity gig performance), I would still chalk this one up as a surprise - pretty much if for no other reason, I thought were were going to be forever stuck with the 'Sgt Pepper/The End' sequence right up until the time Paul quit performing..Plus it's just such a damn cool (not to mention emotional) ending:-)

i'm with Temporary Secretary live. It would be wicked to see Paul singing that. yes, Golden Slumbers/Carry that weight/the end back after 20 years

As far as 2011 surprises go, I'd surely put The Night Before on the list.
Golden Slumbers was a huge surprise for me when I saw it at Yankee Stadium (7/16). I can't even watch the videos without tearing up, it's easily my favorite Beatles song. -

I can't imagine a "Hell Freezes Over" Tour, but how neat would a "Hell Freezes Over" one-off concert be for us fans! Yeah, I would definitely be there!!! I can just picture myself with the crowd, swaying and singing to "We All Stand Together" Podgie (It would be awesome!) Monkey
