I got really excited when I got to the page because the link said "General Admission".... thought they might have changed it from seated/reserved to GA for a split second

RE: Amsterdam - Ziggo Dome - June 7 & 8, 2015 - ARCHIVE
do you think it is worth getting the vip package that includes early access to the floor? How much earlier do they let VIPs in? Is it all VIPs at once, or the VIP with soundcheck first then VIP with just early access? I've only done one other GA and it was so much fun

RE: Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors
nobodytold me, could you expand on this? What happened? I'm thinking of VIP tickets for Amsterdam but they would mail the hard tickets when I'm in Europe already. Will call would be better option but I don't want to have issues the day of the show.
nobodytoldme:
5th-beatle:
Do his Euro concerts usually offer the "will call" option to pick tickets up at the box office?
They certainly do, but never ever ever do that with standing tickets, that screwed me over in Bologna so bad, worst place I ever had during a McCartney gig because of the total incompetence of the organization in every single way thinkable. Always go for e-tickets, gives you the full flexibility, also in terms of when you have to sell your tickets on.

RE: Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors
5th Beatle I sent them an email as well. I was hoping to get VIP for the Amsterdam show as it's GA, but I would be in UK for the Liverpool show 7-10 days before the Amsterdam show. Will Call is a good option but someone earlier in this thread mentioned it took them awhile to get the tickets and by then most people had gone through - so they ended up far from the stage... I wonder if you can do will call a day before the show? Just to make sure I have my ticket well before they start letting people in. I wish they would just have a guest list, since the ticket is tied to your name, then get a "souvenir" ticket with your merch.

RE: Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors
Yes, wanted to know which are indoor (arena) vs outdoor (stadium) - although there can be indoor stadiums or open air arenas So far Amsterdam is the only GA option (for floor). Looks like last time Stade de France was seated.... so I might have to try to Amsterdam... Thanks!

could people help me out with a reserved seating or GA for each of the shows? So far this is what I know... ?/arena The O2, London, Great Britain ?/arena Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham, Great Britain Reserve/Arena Echo Arena, Liverpool, Great Britain ?/Stadium Nouveau Stade Velodrome, Marseille, France GA/? ZiggoDome, Amsterdam, Holland ?/stadium Stade De France, Paris, France ?/outdoors Roskilde Festival, Denmark ?/arena Telenor Arena, Oslo, Norway ?/arena Tele2 Arena, Stockholm, Sweden
What is the question exactly? Whether these gigs are seated or GA? I posted a few seating plans and prices schemes already, let me look them up in a bit, if you can't find them. Amsterdam is general admission standing, with seats at the sides/balcony (http://www.ziggodome.nl/img/event/Plattegrond_ZiggoDome_rolstoel_groot.png),,) as usual over here. What a shock this morning when the seating info popped up. Roskilde is general admission standing obviously. France not sure, but I found the rest as well. Oslo and Stockholm are named arenas, but with the big capacity (23,000 and 45,000) they could be considered stadiums, especially the latter. The Oslo date has a fixed roof. The Stockholm one a rectractable roof, so that could be either way. edit: Ah, I see your edited your list.

RE: Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors
For soundcheck in Chicago August 2011 the ticket was separate from the merchandise. So the merchandise actually arrived like 4 or 5 weeks after the show. But I see what you mean about being worried it'll not arrive in time. The good thing with VIP is that you can usually call or email and get stuff sorted out, just in case.
5th-beatle:
Sorry to repeat myself, but I need to know this from people who have purchased soundcheck packages in Europe and the UK: Regarding the VIP packages, there is a warning: "Bespoke information packs and tickets sent in advance". Does that mean the bag with merchandise and tickets will be sent in the mail? Was it that way in previous years? When you get a VIP package in South America they just send you an e-mail (a few days before the concert) saying where and when you should go to. Once you are there (day of the concert, special entrance at the venue) they give you a bag of merchandise, your ticket and then you have access to a reserved area to eat and drink before soundcheck. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but if they want to send stuff in the mail, it's possible the package will not arrive before the customer has left his country, especially for those who live outside Europe.

so much excitement I just can't go to sleep now!!! when I saw May in the headline I was so scared it would be towards the beginning of the month when I have finals. Can't wait to meet some of my fellow Macca fans in the UK. I saw him on big screens during the Diamond Jubilee but never a proper concert in the UK. Do you think he'll perform Mull of Kintyre??
-
RE: Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors
I think it's more about Paul wanting other audiences to see him. And I agree, must of the festival goers probably check it off of their bucket list and won't go to see him again at another concert. On the announcement of shows... I had to submit my semester travel abroad application for school. I debated back and forth between picking spring over fall semester - on the off chance he does some shows in Nov/Dec in the UK.... All while kicking myself for not having found out about NY in time to take a bus there (I'm in Massachusetts)

RE: Milwaukee, WI - Miller Park - July 16, 2013 - ARCHIVE
There will be shuttles to Miller Park, I was told on their facebook page NO about a month ago but I guess they changed their minds: Due to a high number of requests, MCTS will be running Route 90 service to Miller Park for the Paul McCartney concert on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Route 90 will operate every 10-15 minutes starting two hours before the concert (approximately 6:00 pm) and will continue to run for a half hour after the concert ends. - Full details in the MCTS link http://ridemcts.com/about-us/news/mcts-will-run-route-90-miller-park-service-for-paul-mccartney-concert-july-16-2013

Hey everyone! I'm looking for one or two tickets for the Milwaukee show. I already posted on the buy/sell thread but thought I'd post in here just in case. I'd love to get some floor seats up front but hey doesn't everyone?! I just want to make sure I hear some of the songs he's doing this tour that I haven't heard live before (keeping it spoiler free

RE: Paul live on the Colbert Report ( Benefit song & intervi
I was one of the lucky ones to be at the Colbert Report taping. Got the ticket two days before, booked flight that night and flew in next morning. Here's the setlist as he performed it (it seems a couple songs didn't air and those that did aired in different order). Colbert Setlist Matchbox Let Me Roll It Listen to What The Man Said Letting Go I've Just Seen A Face - Paul stopped the song after a few seconds to redo the intro Hi Hi Hi Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite Lady Madonna Birthday

I'm torn between going to see him on these show dates or waiting for when the new album drops... still hoping for some fireman shows or some mini shows similar to when Memory Almost Full came out. One can dream
Has McCartney even mentioned ever doing a Fireman show? That would be interesting, though I see that as a one off in a small venue in London or New York.
To my limited knowledge he hasn't. Sadly I think any such one off concert of this type would have happened awhile back when the latest Fireman album came out. Maybe if there's enough push for the next release there might be a show as publicity... :

OohYou:
I was there last night and am still reliving the night. Some of the more wonderful things include: 1. Paul, of course! He had such energy and presence as always. I'm sure he spoke from experience when he wrote about living life with a sense of childlike wonder. 2. 50,000 people singing along with Paul. So much collective emotion is deeply moving. 3. One sign read, "Hey Paul, I'm Jude." To which Paul replied, "hey, Jude!" 4. The way the crowd repurposed the Yankees "let's go Yankees" cheer to "Paul McCartney" in the same rhythm. Whatever one's opinion of the Yankees might be, that was a perfect tribute to Paul in that venue. 5. The guy doing the closed captioning (not part of Paul's set and a little odd for a rock concert!) had trouble following much of the show, but hit his stride when captioning "na na na na na na na!" 6. The way my dad put his arms around my brother and me during the entirety of let it be. Possibly the most important moment of my night. We were only one of many who were drawn closer to one another through the experience of Paul's music. While I understand why people have complaints about the set list, it does not bother me in the least. I've seen him seven times at this point and I hope to see him many many more.
Hey Oohyou, I'm Jude!! That was my sign at the show on Friday! That Was Me (no pun) lol that was so overwhelming for me! I still can't believe he did that!!

RE: Paul, Consol Energy Center Pittsburgh Aug 18th - ARCHIVE
What is up with not giving you a row and seat number? And you can't return them when you get sent to the farthest part of the section? That's crazy!!! is it the same deal when buying through ticketmaster? shock Thankfully this wasn't the case with Nashville, and I have my tickets for that show. If they didn't have this totally ridicoulous policy I was set to go to the Pittsburg show but not like this...Best of luck to everyone!! I'm pulling for the boardies )

RE: Paul, on your next tour, please come to ____________ .
For all it's worth I made a sign for Paul and he did read it at the Atlanta Green Concert. It said Mexico and Chicago miss you Paul!! I'm from Mexico but live in Chicago, two places he didn't visit this year, so thought I'd remind him. His reaction, a smile but no nod...hmmmm ----------------------------------------- Por mi parte les comparto que hice un letrero para Paul y lo leyo durante el concierto en Atlanta en agosto. Decia (traduccion) Mexico y Chicago te extrañan Paul! Yo soy Mexicana pero vivo en Chicago, dos lugares a los que no ha visitado este año, asi que pense recordarle que lo queremos ver. Su reaccion? Sonrio pero no asintio con la cabeza....que opinan?
