There is a wiki page for King Size Taylor and the Dominoes. I don't think they were the same band as the Big Three. Two separate groups. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingsize_Taylor_and_the_Dominoes

RE: What music of Paul's do you exercise to?
I love Wings Over America for walking. Plenty to get my heart rate going!

RE: DrBeatle's Book Reviews
Thanks for the great review. I bought these books when they came out but haven't done much more then page through them a couple times. I have to agree with your assessment that only allowing 96 pages per person did a disservice to Paul and George.

RE: Paul's New Album-- "New"-- CONFIRMED
21st Century Paul:
Well, I've just listened to the album for the first time in youtube.com And I've been so dissapointed that I haven't listened to it much time really... I guess is just a first impression and when I listen to it several times I will really "get it", as usual. Anyway it has been a shocking first listen to me. It didn't seem like it was Paul McCartney, I expected something else... I didn't like the sound... I didn't like a thing really. But it's possible that I listen to it a couple of times more and then I'll post here I think it is his best album ever. But now, I'm just shocked and confused.
On my second listen through now and I have to agree with you. Not what I expected. The 3 songs I had listened to beforehand, "New," "Save Us," and "Everybody Out There" I liked OK, but am hoping that as I keep listening to it the rest will grow on me. Just doesn't feel as melodic to me as some of his past work. I think I prefer "Memory Almost Full" to this album.

The DVD of Paul live in London at the Roundhouse.

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
2 Cds--first replaced my Beatles Live at the BBC. The second one is a Japanese import, The Decca Audition. Hopefully the quality is as good as the Amazon reviewers imply.

RE: What is your favorite song by Sir Paul????
Maybe I'm Amazed is by far my favorite. Just beautiful lyrically, and I love the 1976 WOA performance. I feel fortunate to have seen him perform it live twice, in 1993 and 2011.

RE: "Tripping The Live Fantastic" finds the radio!
I was out today at the pet store and heard My Very Good Friend the Milkman from KOTB on the overhead. Don't know if I was more surprised or saddened that that album has already been relegated to shopping music.

I was just able to win the Linda tribute issue of Club Sandwich on Ebay. I have been wanting that issue for a while, but never able to get it before now.

Just ordered "Drummed Out: the Sacking of Pete Best" by Spencer Leigh. Got a reasonably priced used copy on Amazon UK, even with international shipping. We'll see how that compares with Pete's telling of the tale.
I really want a review on the Pete Best autobiography when your finish reading it.
You got it! It shipped this morning. Really looking forward to FINALLY getting it. Had a meet and greet with Pete in June and really wanted to have that book to have signed, but instead was able to have an 8x10 signed and picked up the "Best of the Beatles" DVD there at the show. Still have't watched it, though.

RE: Only Love Remains video
I hadn't seen that video before, although I love the song. Seems a shame that it was left off the McCartney Years. And I really liked the arrangement as well.

RE: Let Us In Americana/The Music of Paul McCartney
This is actually the second CD for Linda of Paul's music. The first one came out a couple years ago and is called Let Us In Nashville. It is on my Amazon for $11.99.

Just got Beatle! The Pete Best Story for a good price on Amazon. Looking forward to reading it.
Let us know if it's any good. (and what btw is a "good price"? It is on my Amazon.com wish list at $49.95)
I got a paperback copy in very good condition for $14.95 plus shipping. Last time I had looked, it was $50 for a used paperback. There are a bunch of used copies starting at $13 right now, so someone flooded the market with Pete Best autobiographies!
yep that's what am going to buy when i order my copy. the used paper backs are just as good as the brand new copies.
Thanks! I deleted the one I had on my wish list and found a used one for a lot less!
Glad to help out!
