Do we feel we may have seen the last of Paul on the stage now given the covid situation?

I dont think its fair at this point, the shows should have been cancelled weeks back

RE: Has Paul played his last concert?
I think the problem is,and im citing Roger Daltrey on this,if Paul or Roger in this case) doesnt use his voice he will lose it for good,he sounded awful doing Lady Madonna the other week (so did most of them in fairness) so i think its a coin toss if he does a big tour again at this point,i really dont see much live music anywhere this year, already theatre bosses are saying itll be well into next year before they open again,so who knows when live music will return?
After all its not just the artist you have to consider, its the band, the roadies, the stadium staff before you even get to the audience.

RE: Liverpool, UK - Echo Arena- 12/12- CONFIRMED
Great night, much better than 2015,he really seemed to be enjoying himself, the set list a nice selection, the band as ever in top notch form nice to see him do the three hours not often get that nowadays, would have loved to have had penny lane included but ive seen that already so it was no biggie it not being there.
Merch a little disappionting the t shirts bland for my taste so didnt bother,a rare event for me.
So quite possibly the last time i'll see him in the flesh,i hope not of course but you never know.

I saw him play all three of these songs live at the Echo Arena on 20th December 2011.
...and zero of these when I saw his show in Liverpool in 2015, haha... Not a single special touch.
It was a little flat in 2015 wasnt it..mind you a flat night at a Paul concert is still very special, but you need those touches to make the gig one to live in the memory as 2011 still does for me.

RE: EGYPT STATION
Not going into any great depth on ES other than to say its easily his best album since Flowers in the dirt, honestly didnt think he still had this sort of quality left in him,and his voice yes it sounds tired and old..it is tired and old and his songwrtiing relects this and just adds to it.
If,and i hope to heaven its not, this album is to be Pauls swansong its a hell of a way to sign off,but trouble is we know theres more to come from him the man seems invincible, but will it reach the same sort of quality? i doubt it myself,i rate it that highly.
But this is Paul and if nothing else he always surprises everyone.

RE: THE 'FRESHEN UP' TOUR 2018
Great discussion from both of you if you will allow me to put my take on it it’s this,if Roger could fill larger venues then he would and yes he would charge more too, they all do it they’re in it to make money to say otherwise is utter nonsense, limited merch? All that means to me is he can’t sell a wide range so why stick yourself with gear you can’t shift?
i saw Bruce on the river tour a couple of years back, yes his tickets where reasonable I paid more for Billy Joel for instance, but I found his merch really expensive Roger Waters on The Wall tour,a show I’d have expected to be very expensive but ticket wise I thought good value,it was the merch which made your eyes water price wise.
point I’m trying to make I suppose one way or the other artists one way or the other are after your spending money they don’t do this for the good of their health just the good of their back balance, that any artist declined in popularity plays smaller venues they have to work that bit harder for their corn,it’s up to you if you think they’ve earned it.
to finish I wonder what price tickets for Paul if he did a Springsteen type show?

The Macca team need to sort out how to allow real fans to get tickets.I joined Wings Fun club as a kid and have ALL his releases yet it was impossible today to get tickets.Who is buying them?
Supposed “fans” who are really scalpers. The tickets were all snapped up in the pre-sales so none were left by today.
This doesn't happen. A pre-sale only has a small percentage of tickets available for sale.
How do you explain no tickets being available during the regular sale for most of those who logged on at 10 am on the dot? Is it just that there are thousands of people all logging in simultaneously and so the computer just randomly puts them in a queue and most of the people sit in the queue forever, then are told it’s sold out (because the people ahead of them got all the tickets that were available?)
I must admit the more I hear about it being sold out at 10am the more the whole episode starts to smell

This is all easily traceable back to the greed some of us were attempting to discuss in another thread. Paul simply doesn't care. He walks out with his cool million and a guarantee of a packed house no matter what...and he isn't the only one. It will never change. These big rock legends have about another decade MAX of this level of activity and popularity so they're going to soak it up for the rest of their lives.
Too bad these rock legends don't do what JK Rowlings has done to try and prevent scalpers from getting tickets to Harry Potter show in London. My family will be going to London and see it in December and you don't even get a ticket. You go to the box office the day/evening of the show to get ticket and need to show proof of purchase and photo id of the person who bought the tickets. I will also mention this show is reasonably priced especially when you compare it to seeing "Hamilton" in NYC.
Another excellent option! They simply don't care.
By “they” are you referring to Paul, Paul’s people, Ticketmaster or all of the above?
All of them,
paul has his money and will play,Paul’s people have their slice and are happy and ticketmaster roll on allowing it to carry on.
Dont think Paul is that bothered at this point,as most artists are it’s down to money and they have their price of the pie and can retire to the beach till gig

RE: Paul is the only one who can stop this ticket rip-off
Honestly i doubt wether Paul is even aware of the nonsense of today,Ticketmaster are the ticket selling force in the world, they offer schemes such as Verfied fan and his people go along with it,as its seen to be doing something against the touts, when in realilty all its done is make it harder for fans such as post here for instance (not that that should guarantee a ticket alone of course),and given people who maybe have seen artists such as Paul a better than even chance than perhaps is fair, throw in a few buzzwords and its middle management mana from heaven.
No easy answer but it has been terrible for many people today sad to say.

I didn't get a Verified Fan' code and had no luck in the venue pre-sale on Friday. Ticketmaster was saying no tickets left bang on 10am this morning and I've just got to the front of the Echo Arena queue to be told there are no tickets.
It turns out that several hundred'fans' who had better luck have quickly found out that they can no longer go so they've put their tickets on StubHub etc...
Bring back the fan club pre-sales.
Yes I agree over the fan club sales, that made perfect sense rather than this shambles

RE: Liverpool, UK - Echo Arena- 12/12- CONFIRMED
I was one of the lucky ones and got tickets Friday,it’s always been hectic trying to get tickets for Paul from the arena but this time, seems, shall we say much more difficult for most people,I’m trying to grab a seat for my son as he now want to go but as with others having no luck anywhere, either the arena or ticketmaster all seem to ave gone.
its going to be a case of wait and see for him I think but I wonder if people are getting their as the thinking may be that this could be the last time Paul plays here?
i don’t know of course but it’s bad trying seemingly for everyone this morning.

RE: Liverpool, UK - Echo Arena- 12/12- CONFIRMED
The arena have their own ticketing system it’s doesnt direct you back to ticketmaster.
hope this helps

RE: Liverpool, UK - Echo Arena- 12/12- CONFIRMED
Got tickets in the Liverpool pre sake not brilliant but who cares I’m going and that’s all that matters I suppose,I have to say the que system they use there is much better than a few years ago where the website would crash without warning..not perfect but that’s the way it is sadly

That verified fans thing rather looks like a way to make you buy very expensive VIP packages (strangely available without a code)...
They're playing with your nerves. Don't buy the packages, stay calm, and wait for the general sale!
I agree with you. The Edmonton presale yesterday gave very little options for verified fans to buy normal tickets; just packages and AMEX tickets it seemed.
Today, I kept refreshing broswer and boom, verified tickets on the presale came up which went lightning fast. I snagged a couple; got lucky I guess
I have no idea what will be available in the general sale, but I don't have time to follow this all week.
It's unfolding just like I predicted: create hype with VF presale, offer mostly lower rear seats and uppers that cost the same as the best (non-vip) seats ($300+), but hold back on those to make folks think this is the best they will get for this show because - after all - you got a 'special' 'exclusive' code to buy.
Who gets the best seats besides the lucky few on general onsale day and vips? For some venues there's season ticket holders, and corporate and industry insiders, I even heard a rumour TM employees get access to tickets 15 minutes before everyone else.
People who've seen Paull many, many times and didn't get a VF code maybe actually got the better end of the deal, and didn't have to waste their time searching for presale tickets that didn't exist. If they'd been offered through the fan club, like in 2012, it might be a different story.
I never understood why the reaction to the fan club was so negative,I was more than happy to pay for it with the added bonus of a crack at a ticket through the club with relatively little fuss,I’m sure many others here feel the same way and the argument that it was too expansive for the fan club I say for me it wasn’t,I still have the T shirt and picture,it wa just so much easier than this VF nonsense

Woke up at 5 AM (my local time), logged in, no tickets on the floor, kept trying, after a few times a ticket came up. I didn't even think too much about it, as there was a 2-minute clock running backwards before the ticket would be released. It says "BL D", does that mean Block D?
https://media.ticketmaster.co.uk/en-gb/tmimages/venue/maps/uk5/11774s.gif
There was no "box office collection" option, so I had to pay for Secure Courier delivery. Hopefully it will be delivered before my departure, otherwise I will have to ask them to print it again at the box office. Would Ticketmaster do that?
Yeah BL D is block D, I got confused mine said BL 4 and though it was in block B on the floor, but its upper tier. I didn't think too much and booked it as well, slightly upset since I didn't read it properly.
Don’t be upset I go to the arena at least 6 times a year and block 4 isn’t a bad view at all,not that high up and I’ll put good money you’ll se a sight more than being on the floor
Thanks very much Are you coming to the show?
If i manage to get a ticket i'll be there, not panicking tbh, each time Paul has played there on the afternoon of the concert more seats are released,so while its a fast and loose way to get a ticket (without resorting to paying silly prices),i've found there's no need to panic this far out, though i'll grant you its always nice to know where you're sitting etc.
