RE: Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

Let's wait and see. If no rumors surface by September/October, he's probably done for the year. I would enjoy a new album with a new tour to support it... especially without the rising platform.
I agree. Even if I don't attend his shows anymore, that rising platform needs to go!
The platform if it where used right could have added to the show but the way they used it was pointless to me,good crowd control though as it kept people at arms length

RE: David Gilmour - New Album and Tour announced
Oh agreed its Gilmour doing what he wants to do but as you say on the American leg he's playing to plenty of people so I don't think it's down to art just him being him,lol and they say Waters was the odd one. Still I live in hope he'll do a proper tour next year after the USA dates as I saud

RE: David Gilmour - New Album and Tour announced

RE: David Gilmour - New Album and Tour announced
It does seem to be a bit of an odd tour a few small venues when he could easily fill arenas without breaking sweat, the prices for tickets on the scalping sites are eye watering too..i just hope he does a proper tour next year though i wont hold my breath.

RE: HEY PAUL! PLEASE READ
Oh and in fairness to Townsend asking who was the biggest rock star n the world he added "that'd be Elvis Presley" i dont think they mention that in that article.

RE: HEY PAUL! PLEASE READ
Kanye was staggering bad unlistenable nonsense so bad even my lads, who's 23 and into this sort of stuff turned the tv off citing its absolute garbage,to quote him. The Who however were brilliant as where The Waterboys on saturday proof if it where needed if you have talent it never leaves you,and please enough with the "2 of them its not the who" nonsense theyve every right to be there, they wrote and sang those songs so yea they have the right to still be performing,it really does my noggin in it really does, plus Zak Starkey is a pretty awesome drummer

RE: Will Paul ever perform this song...live?
Yes i'd love to hear With a little luck live, love the song i really do.

Went to see Suzanne Vega last night at the phil in Liverpool, wonderful concert her voice has hardly changed in all these years it really rolled the clock back, she played a lot of new stuff too which frankly is as good as anything she's done,if she comes near go see her highly recomended. So got a bit of a summer break till spetember now with gigs nice to catch the sun for a bit

About Europe ... He avoids some country like : Portugal ,Spain,Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, greece .. He is popular in that place too.. But ,all that country are still in recession.. It is more profitabily go play in Sweden or Norway. It is one sad thing, Its all about money And that is not rock and roll
Sorry but rock n roll has always been about money

RE: Concerts.

RE: Out There Tour Merch
I too go to many high and low profile gigs I used Ferry as a direct example of how some artists charge more than others though I accept Paul's prices on t shirts were on par with the UK prices of most artists. I go to see Fleetwood Mac on Friday an artist on par with Paul and I await to see their prices, last time out I found them to be reasonable which shocked me I expected wild prices. The simple truth is this they all charge too much for merch the fact the big artists play arenas make it worse frankly they could charge less if they so chose and still make a fortune but they don't and they rely on fans wanting a souvenir and willing to pay the price for it.

A roof with three lighted windows was lowered onstage during Another Day. I don't remember seeing it in the UK. He has just read some signs. Eight days a week Save us Another girl Listen to what the man said Temporary Secretary Let me roll it Paperback writer My valentine 1985 The long and winding road Maybe I'm amazed I've just seen a face We can work it out Another day Hope for the future And I love her Blackbird Here today
The roof and windows was at the two London shows i was at for sure.
At Liverpool too.

There is a good selection of merchandise in the UK, but at high prices. I believe the same items will be less expensive at the upcoming EU concerts...[/img]
The merchandise on sale at these gigs was the standard price for any major band touring the UK.
Yup i have to agree the prices are generally a rip off but i would say i saw Bryan Ferry on the tuesday before Liverpool and paid £10 for a very hefty and very glossy tour programme and a tenner for a mug,the t shirts were £20 so it has to be said cheaper than Paul was charging

Few final thoughts on the gig.. He sounded great he really did, Song choice was pretty good not much i would have taken out (helter skelter maybe), Video backdrops a bit poor but if im honest it made me concentrate more on Paul than be distracted by them, The rising platform a real headsctratcher that one it looks nice but for what was it 2 songs? or so on it does seem like an indulgance and really doesnt need to be there, let the people be closer than that there if he did half the show on it then yes i can understand it but not for some so underused. Other than that a great night.
About that platform...if he really wants to get closer to the audience or he wants the audience to see him...I've said before that he should do like Pink & kinda rubberband out into certain spots like on a pillar...lol. Then everyone could get a look at him!
LOL i saw that Pink show and she landed not far from me it was great fun thats for sure

Last night in Liverpool is exactly what I mean It is exactly why I'm against it. We could have another two songs it took that long to get them off the stage
I usually don't mind fans onstage, but last night was ridiculous. The guy kept asking Paul to marry him!
Yes it wasnt fun to watch, dont get me wrong for him to have asked Paul to marry once is funny but after that the joke was over, well it didnt spoil it really but it is a gamble when people go up.
