It's time to knight Pete Best as well. No Pete Best, no Beatles.

Yes, on TV on Friday night. https://www.msn.com/en-us/music/video/grammys-greatest-stories-preview/vp-BBF80ut John Legend and Carrie Underwood Set to Co-Host "GRAMMYs(R) Greatest Stories: A 60th Anniversary Special" Airing Friday, Nov. 24 on CBS http://www.4-traders.com/news/John-Legend-and-Carrie-Underwood-Set-to-Co-Host-GRAMMYs-Greatest-Stories-A-60th-Anniversary-Speci--25512122/

Looks like they're doing an Abbey Road album tribute - not sure if its live or a recorded segment from the past. I love the Lennon/Paul Simon Grammy clip from the mid-70s. Wonder if that will come up.

'Christmas Time (is Here Again)' is a classic, but you never see it on any Beatles greatest hits compilations.

At this point in his career, I wish he would do more of this. He is such a great interpreter of music and melody.

I just noticed that almost everyone magazine cover from 1970 on has a theme of "McCartney is Back" in its headline.

This is easily Ringo's worst setlist of his career.

Ughhh. Not a good time to be associated with Spacey.

Harvey Weinstein was associated with Paul McCartney in "The Love We Make"

Its a bit different when he's front-and-center & one of the hosts. I think many will be pressing the FF button when he sing's 'Mind Games'.

11 with The Beatles: Boys I Wanna Be Your Man Matchbox Honey Don't Act Naturally What Goes On? Yellow Submarine With A Little Help From My Friends Don't Pass Me By Goodnight Octopus's Garden plus 24 solo in 1970. = 35

Technically, Ringo sings "lead" on 'Flying' - as all 4 Beatles sing the melody.

Another musical legend has passed. Huge influence on Paul. Lady Madonna written in Fats style. Paul also covered one of his songs on Run Devil Run.

    • RE: 2017 Setlist Speculation Thread

      B J Conlee:

Just happened to see one of the Brazil threads regarding Paul's recent shows. Watching the bikini clad woman dancing while Paul and Band were performing Birthday just hit a new "low" for me relative to Paul's "live" concerts. It's not that I don't mind seeing a healthy woman in a bikini, but seeing it during a Paul show just "lowers" Paul's status as one of the greatest songwriters/performers over the last 50 years. It brings me back to my problem with Paul's One-on-One Setlist. I wouldn't put Birthday in the top 50 of Paul's greatest Beatle songs let alone all of his terrific Solo songs. He's done Birthday before so why bring it back when he has so many songs he has "never" or rarely done. Just look at my list of those great Solo songs a few posts back.

It was either a nod to the Beatles' 'Hello Goodbye' video OR Paul is appealing to the Millennial generation. Have you see any of the young female pop concerts lately - they're practically prancing around in their underwear! Paul needs to keep up.

McCartney not a big fan, to say the least. From the previews, it seems like a "tell all" tale of sex, drugs and rock & roll. it will probably sell well

I've only been to 1 Ringo concert - in support of 'Vertical Man'. IMO, probably his best post early 70s work. 'La De Da' is classic Ringo - cant believe he left it off all of his greatest hits package.

Does anybody know if it will be released this year or next? Part 1 came out in 2013 FFS!

Part 2 is still on schedule for 2020 with part 3 presently set for 2028.

Someone should tell Mark there are inventions called book writing software & a laptop that are available these days.
