Pulling in Radio Clyde via the internet that someone on here mentioned earlier...they are playing Band on the Run. Soon to be.

It DOES need to be more active as this is a boring Sunday night, too hot to go outside. Here's hoping Venus and Mars/Rock Show remains the opening number.

Hello fellow Macca fans from America! I sensed your excitement on this side of the Atlantic. I was in Scotland just last year and wish I was back there for next weekend an Paul doing Mull of Kintyre in the mother country. Pray tell, one question, is it customary for tickets to be sent out this close to the event date? I would be a nervous wreck waiting on the things even though I have seen him a number of times. Does TIcketmaster give you the Ticketfast option where you purchase online/print immediately? I did this last weekend for his July 28, Charlotte, North Carolina show. There are times, though, when that can be problematic. Oh well, just curious, and best of luck to all of you for the speedy arrival of your tickets and great weather for the show! Safe travels all.

Good question. I didn't want to make a killing, just get my money back so I sold lower level seats at cost and it went in less than a hour. When I was setting up the account, you can elect to have the price of the tickets you are selling decrease as the concert date draws near, which must mean a number of people can't unload them. So anyone buying through them might be well advised to be patient and see if the prices drop. Of course, patience is hard to exercise if you really want to attend a show.

It IS weird...sort of like Paul is Dead...NOT in the late 60s. Those who run the website over in the UK must be on summer holiday or something. Having lived there ages ago, I know they tend to have bank holidays on certain Mondays so lets hope tomorrow isn't one and there should be an official something or other on there.

Regretfully, I sold the Nashville ticket yesterday on Stubhub. I say regretfully because I love Nashville, our son went to college there and I am willing to beat he sings something about Sally G tending sheep on Junior's Farm. I would try for both but we have had illness in my wife's family this year and are afraid to venture away too far. In other words, Charlotte is closer and can be done in a one nighter.

Thanks, Mary, appreciate that. Sounds like we did OK but nothing beats being on the floor. Haven't been down there since the 1993 tour.

I tried timing precisely getting on there at noon and it didn't work, timing how long it took me to get to the ticket buying field after I hit the mouse druing the wait till noon, it wasn't quite ready on TM. Failed to get best seats and it then comes up with get three tickets anywhere or whatever and I thought I would end up with toilette seats or something but these seats will do. Of course, this is similar to our 2002 location in Atlanta when those seats up the lower flank of the arena floor where HALF this price. I didn't know we had megainflation these past eight years!

Got Section 115, which is in the lower level, Row L. Anyone know where exactly that is? Bridgestone Arena has single letters and then they go to double near the front, I think I am remembering this correctly. Don't know if Time-Warner Arena is like that or not.

Thanks for the welcome. Sort of hard to fathom that he has never played Nashville, what with it being Music City and him having recorded there. Guess it just somehow never fit in with his plans until now.

You are right, Charlotte was added after but it was much easier for me to do both then, which I did with both Columbia and Charltote. Nashville and Charlotte will be virtually impossible to do both, too close together on the calendar, can't take the whole week off. May just try to sell the Nville tickets and pick up Charlotte. Actually, I should say ticket, my wife can't go. Probably trying to sell a single ticket is like trying to sell a two bedroom house, hard to do.

[quote="DCBeatle64"]crap...that time last year I was near there and I have friends who live there, but funnily enough will be over in Edinburgh that time, gutted Hello in Scotland! Know how you feel, we visited friends in Glasgow recently, now Paul is playing there and we are back over here.

I saw him in Charlotte on June 15, 1993 when he played what was then the Blockbuster Pavilion. Great show, 15th row seats. Of course, he does this to me after I am lined up to go to Nashville. Charlotte is two hours from here, Nashville seven. PLEASE release all dates together like in the 1990s!!!!!!!!!!!!

[quote="crazygina18"][quote="John Mackintosh"]Heck, I am excited about him coming to Pittsburgh and I don't live anywehre near you guys. It's just that this is a good thread you have going and the interstate connections from the South where I live are pretty easy, have never been to Pittsburgh (one of the few big cities I have never visited) and all of you seem like a great bunch of people. Plus, no way is he coming back to Atlanta so soon as he played it in August. I am thus primed to buy tickets when the show is announced. Keep up the great coverage, we are pulling for ya! John, it's a great place to visit! Very unique because it's so different from other "big cities". And if you're into sandwiches... you must make it to Primanti Brother's... a must for any Pittsburgh visitor. Gina, sounds like a nice place. I will keep that restaurant in mind. Let's hope we get an announcement soon on more concerts after those in the UK in June.

[] Thanks John. We were both going to go to Miami but her immunities are so low right now and with the chemo she isn't going to be able to make it. We are hoping he comes back to the states this fall when she will be feeling better, and after seeing the new additions to the setlist she is more than ever excited to see Paul. She has a neuroendocrine tumor that has metastasized to her liver. Luckily they were able to do surgery and remove almost a foot of her colon which got the cancer out. Right now she is doing chemo for her liver and has lost all of her hair only after 3 treatments, but she's pulling through. Barb, Sounds like your friend has been going through hell but glad to know recovery is in sight. I will keep you both in my prayers. There is nothing like the healing power of music for body and mind, it can sure lift one's morale and I hope she and you can make it to a show, especially with this dream come true set list. Take care. John

[quote="BarbB"]Really, really, really hoping this happens or anywhere near here. My best friend who is 22 just got diagnosed with cancer that's so rare there has only been 800 cases. I want to take her to see Paul at least once in her life, she's a huge fan. I hope your friend is able to overcome this cancer. When I read a message like this, it brings me up short as I can not imagine what she, at age 22, must be going through. Hang in there wtih her and may you both get to a concert.

RE: Fans over 50?
I will be 54 on Sunday, remember Beatlemania, Pepper, etc. going out and buying McCartney when it came out in 1970 on vinyl when I was 15. I know its trite but he has provided the soundtrack of my life. No one better than Paul.
