I'd worry more about walking back after the show. it'll probably be midnight

the show snuck up on me I didn't realize how close it is until my boss put up next week's schedule and I was given my requested days off. (4 in a row....yeah) Row 12. here I come.
PETA has written a letter urging the new female 13th doctor to go vegan. I guess they don't realize they display how stupid they are and that they never watched the show. (being made fun of for being a science fiction nerd is another reason I left the vegetarian community besides the rampant coke use) 11 was chided by an enemy the Dream Master "Oh, you're probably a vegetarian" and then criticized him for making nice little butcher shops go out of business. 12? He had many meat-eating comments galore from his first episode. He couldn't fathom why humans would freak out over flesh eating creatures and not realize they were the same every time they ate a chicken or a steak. HIs comments are numerous throughout his run. Here's the letter. I wish they had actually watched the show before they wrote it. http://www.peta.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/PETA-Dr-Who-Vegan-Ask.pdf

So the Westburough Baptist Church showed up at a Paul show to hold up signs. I heard there was an official meme that had their signs replaced with famous Paul lyrics I don't know what they were protesting about Paul, but he must be doing it right
From where we were standing at limo watch, I don't remember seeing these protestors at all, but they must have been nearby, because we were on the opposite side, facing the arena, on a similar grassy area. Not sure why they felt they had to do that... maybe because Paul is kind and supportive of gay people? or maybe they're just now hearing that the Beatles think they're more popular than Jesus? who knows.... At any rate, I'm so glad there was a group of us there who were able to have signs with positive messages, and that he was able to see those last before he entered the venue!
I actually don't think they were there to protest Paul at all since there was no official statement from them as to why they ere there. I think they were only there because they knew the event would draw a large outside crowd and they could be seen....and that makes it even more wrong. It's one thing to stand up for your beliefs and protest something you think is wrong like military funerals (I don't agree with them but I agree with their right to protest...and my right to counter protest dressed as a zombie and pretend to eat them and watch them run which is a bizarre comments on their beliefs in the afterlife) but in this case, they were just there to ruin our fun. it's also like they were protesting comic book conventions. I assumed they were there since comic books are pretty dark and twisted (that's why I like them) but nope. they were there simply protesting that people have an interest in things outside their personal religious beliefs. they were actually saying things like time spent reading comic books was better spent reading the bible. Now that really upset me as someone who was always told she liked all the wrong things all her life When I was reading Star Trek novels as a child, my mom said I should be reading about the saints instead. I had to stand up and defend myself using the old cliche, the Heart wants what the Heart wants Plus, I was bullied by the religious people in our small town. they made it clear I wasn't one of them Guess what? You don't do that to someone you wish to convert to your beliefs. I explained that to a WBC church person who was protesting at a gay church in Ferndale, MI and he actually apoologized that the bullying happened to me. still won't convert me though. It's too late.

The article says it's not known whether Paul's song is pro- or anti-Trump. I think we know.
I wonder if it's like when Bowie wrote songs such as Andy Warhole and Song for Bob Dylon where one couldn't tell of the lyrics were an insult or a compliment .
Bruce M.:
The notion that an anti-Trump song is anti-America is ridiculous. As Mark Twain said. "The only true patriotism, the only rational patriotism, is loyalty to the country all the time, loyalty to the government when it deserves it." I hope Paul goes for the throat on this one.
Well said. In fact, some of us consider ourselves Patriots for standing up for what this country was founded on as well as for the rights of various oppressed, including ourselves. My only problem is I hope Paul's song is good. Freedom really wasn't but most of those songs at that time are hokey and you're not allowed to criticize them. (I agree with the sentiment...I just think there's some bad songs out there)
As someone who bought tickets presale and from ticketmaster, I never got such an email either

I'd quite like to see the footage used in the video without the effects, just out of interest.
I think there is a making of video.... Hey, I found the one I was looking for
Wow. I have never seen that video. Thank you Kathryn.
That is included in the deluxe FITD set.
I figured it was. I just can't justify spending that much money on the set though I really wanted a copy of this on DVD. i had to buy what i could afford and it was the remastered CD

Well, Paul, considering recent events in your life, for a moment, I bet you understood what it is like to stand in my shoes and be me
[quote="oobu24"]Stella shoes as a short chick, I refuse to wear such soles. I know a 1%er who does (she's also goth) but I will educate people on being short as an ideal evolutionary trait. (We survive extinction level events while dinosaurs get witped out) I like the one with the stars though

From your lips to Paul's ears! Too bad he will never see this, and even if he did, he would ignore your advice! :
Maybe, but it's a recommendation from musician to musician, I've been afraid to do it, because I do not want you to misunderstand the meaning of my question, I just want you to continue on the road rocking with us fans that we want and for him, for To continue with us ... the voice is something that we lose the singers because of the time and the work, I have sung less than Paul and I realize that my voice is not the one of before, I have lowered the tuning in half semitone And that has helped me a lot, that's why I wanted to talk about it in my message, it's not a criticism (I would never do it) but a recommendation from a fan, musician and friend fan. You are new to posting, although I see you joined over a year ago. Welcome! I hate to burst your bubble, but Paul does not read this stuff on here. However, feel free to vent! We all love to do it!
Paul doesn't read here probably but Jerry Seinfeld definitely did. When he did his standup routine at the Gershwin awards a few years back, he stole every joke he got off this board. I know. two of them were mine and I recognized the others too

ah...the tour where I heard the cheap seats were $300. I declined to go and I'm glad I've gotten to see Paul since
