Thanks, guys. the version I'm looking for that was on youtube and in a thread on this board began with Paul in a bowler hat like those paintings he collects. I used to be obsessed with that video when I had it on VHS. I watched it a few times a day for months back in the 80s. I can't afford the dvd of the new boxed set. (I probably could...and might but I'm trying not to spend that much money)

both 'this one' videos
Does anyone know where the videos for This One are online? Especially the version that begins with Paul in a bowler hat?

Mermaids eat people too. usually sailors That's part of the lore
Hey, welcome back! Where have you been?
quiet but not gone. glad to get a welcome back. Yeah, didn't anyone see Pirates of the Carribean 4? It had man-eating mermaids but I dated a guy who really liked the idea and had his bathroom decorated with artwork depicting mermaids. they were pretty but if you looked at the background, there was always a human skeleton and either a sunken treasure chest or modern scuba gear.

Where will Ringlings Elephants go?
This is the reason I left the animal rights movement. Too many of them don't even understand the concept of humans and animals together. (don't get me started on how most of them can't grasp the concept of work either) This article raises those issues. How many animal rights groups actually save animals physically? How many do them more harm? http://www.bedlamfarm.com/2017/01/17/how-lies-and-ignorance-killed-the-circus-ruins-lives-endangers-elephants/

RE: Ron Howard Directing Beatles documentary
My favorite quote in the movie was Whoopie talking about how she didn't see race when she fangirled over the Beatles. "Anyone can be a Beatles fan. It doesn't matter who you were". Yep. True message. Some need to understand that message a bit more

I just got back from seeing it. Guess I'll have to pre order that DVD. Man, it was awesome. the only new footage to me was George putting his ashes from his ciggie on John's hair and Paul encouraging it. but still, I loved seeing all the footage I fell in love with those decades ago up on the big screen while sitting in a recliner with some drink that has 4 times my alcohol limit (and I actually bought the drink in the theater rather then sneak it in) I loved the editing with the footage. it was very artfully done
Hi Kathryn O! How are you? I'm glad that you enjoyed the movie as well as having a strong drink while sitting on a recliner in the theater. That's what I did in the theater except drink alcohol. I sat on a nice recliner with my Girlfriend. Those waitresses in the theater treated everyone, us included, like Kings and Queens! I didn't even want to leave!
Hello, back. The only problem I saw with the theater, I saw it at the Emagine in Royal Oak, MI. Now, Emagine theaters are huge complexes complete with bar, lounge, restaraunt and I hear a rumor of a bowling alley. The restroom is gigantic as well. I kept hearing the film was selling out so get tickets early and I did. I bought mine two days before. but the particular theater it was shown in seemed to fit only about 50 people. Maybe 75 tops. it was tiny. No wonder it sold out so quickly

Here's a video of me meeting Paul but is there an easy way to post some photos? Guess you can't upload them- you have to host them somewhere, eh?

"Small venue"--how small? I think it's cool he's playing Grand Rapids 'cause I just read a long novel set in Michigan that described the state vividly, made me feel like I was there. I like it when he plays places he's never done before. The concert goers are so excited Especially excited.
The entire tour seems to be made up of smaller venues but not too small. that is what's behind the name One on One I just hope he doesn't play Everybody Out There since he didn't play it in Detroit and I was so hoping he would I'm still upset I can't be there.

RE: Grand Rapids, MI- Van Andel Arena- August 15th - ARCHIVE
Don't forget, this is a small venue which is the idea behind this part of the tour I guess. but since he refused to do Everybody Out There when he last came to Detroit, I'd be heartbroken if he does it in GR
