@littlewillow I wouldn't put too much stock into anything the Daily Mail writes. In my opinion they're notoriously inaccurate and have made so many factual errors in what they write.
Geoff Baker, Paul's former publicist, had to have signed a "confidentiality agreement," where legally he can't discuss anything about Paul's private life or business unless Paul were to give him permission first, so I can't see him discussing Paul, or Linda.
As far as him controlling what Linda wrote, and not wanting anything published, I can see Paul being more concerned about his family's privacy rather than his own ego of wanting to be superior to anyone else. In my opinion if he was reluctant to have Linda publish the book, it was probably because he was thinking of protecting his privacy, and the privacy of his family.
If I remember correctly, he didn't really like it when his brother published a book of private family photographs.
He's not a bad guy or a control freak, I just think he's very private. Because of his fame, he has every right to be.
