RE: Paul's upcoming album review they say its HOT!
I've heard every single one of those albums, and EA doesn't come close to being as solid as any of them! EA sounds like a bunch of kids in the garage trying to play, just not a very good album to me.

RE: Rockshow DVD/Blu-Ray - Your Thoughts
Bass never ever sounded like a rubber band to me, but a big booming rock bass, the way McCartney should sound! I've always thought that on most of McCartney's albums his bass is too far back in the mix. The remastered CDs sound just right. When I reviewed the CDs, one of the things I said was that you can hear the drum playing much better, I even heard fills and rolls that I had never really paid attention to before, and you really hear the crash of the cymbols. It's the CDs for me!

RE: Paul 's new album
I think even if McCartney did the greatest album of his life, he wouldn't get credit for it!

RE: Paul's upcoming album review they say its HOT!
I think McCartney has been in top inspiration in recent years, the man has done some of the things he's always wanted to do like KOTB. That album was very inspirational for McCartney, being some of the music he grew up on, it all inspired him. MAF was definitely inspired, if only by the fact that McCartney wanted to make a more traditional rock type album after Chaos. Now after KOTB, I think McCartney wants to do the same thing again, he wants to release a more rock type album. He even said that just because he did an album like KOTB, he doesn't want anyone to think that he has become some standards crooner! In fact I think when it comes to music, Paul McCartney stays inspired!!

RE: Rockshow DVD/Blu-Ray - Your Thoughts
The remastered CDs sound better than the Blu-ray by far! The Blu-ray's sound doesn't have the booming bass that the CDs have, and you can hear the background singing much better on the CDs.

RE: More and more people appreciating Paul's and Wings' music
I've been saying for years that McCartney should split his setlist evenly. He does about 36 songs how about... 12 Beatles 12 Wings 12 Solo It would be more representative of his career, and McCartney could mix them up so the audience is hit with surprise after surprise.

RE: Paul's most powerful lyrics thread
I think The Song We Were Singing from the album Flaming Pie has some of McCartney's best lyrics.

RE: Rolling Stone Top-100... Why No Paul?
If you're looking for an overwhelming response from any forum or messageboard you're never going to get it! Many people probably aren't even looking at this forum. I have no doubt about it though because on too many music related sites people are asking McCartney to perform more of his Wings/solo music. All the millions of Wings fans are still around, and they are all over the world!

RE: Rolling Stone Top-100... Why No Paul?
The harm is when they get it totally wrong, and give out a misleading message! I say again, the fans of McCartney's music after the Beatles would fill any place! You can definitely add my name to that list of people who would pay to see McCartney do a post Beatles show, I'd go with the quickness!

The remastered CDs sound better than the Blu-ray.

RE: Wings Over America & Rock Show DVD Reissue CONFIRMED
The remastered CDs sound way better than the Rockshow Blu-ray. The Blu-ray picture is very good, but the music sounds better on the CDs.

RE: Rolling Stone Top-100... Why No Paul?
What some of you don't seem to realize is that if McCartney did a concert filled with his post Beatles music it would be packed! It may not be packed with the die hard Beatle freaks, but it would be packed with all the fans of his post Beatles music! Paul McCartney has more than just Beatle fans, and there's plenty of them all over the world! You guys seem to be only thinking of America, this mans music is universal, people all over the world know his music, so let him do a Wings/solo tour and just watch who and how many come!!

RE: Macca's Funkier side
None of those songs are funk. Girlfriend and Arrow Thru Me have r&b elements, but Pretty Little Head is some kind of experimental avant Garde type music.

RE: Rolling Stone Top-100... Why No Paul?
Plenty of people would also say, he's not playing any Beatles, this is what I've been waiting for!

RE: Rolling Stone Top-100... Why No Paul?
Seventieslord, you're entitled to your opinion. I just don't agree, this is Paul McCartney we're talking about, and I think you're fooling yourself if you think people are going to miss a chance to see him no matter what he's singing! His post Beatle fans are still alive and well! Some Wings/solo material is just as good as some Beatles!

RE: Macca's Funkier side
Disco is not funk, just ask any real funkster! George Clinton The Bar-Kays Lakeside Cameo Ohio Players Confunksion Roger and Zapp These are real funksters, and there's no disco anywhere to be found! Paul McCartney has done some funk songs, just like he's done other styles.

RE: Rolling Stone Top-100... Why No Paul?
Seventieslord, I know no such thing, I don't sell McCartney's Wings/solo material short like some love to do! I think fans would flock to see McCartney do a totally different show!

RE: Macca's Funkier side
Apollo when McCartney said that I don't think he was even talking about his music, I think he was talking about how they were living at the time. They were living in a lumber yard.

RE: Rolling Stone Top-100... Why No Paul?
Cord, that's a very strong statement, but I can't agree! The Beatles changed the entire game, not only did they change what came before, but they also affected what would come after! Their place in history is untouchable!
