I would have thought "Save Us" would have still had the spotlight on it as a single to heavily promote while he's touring in the East? That seems to have gotten "lost" a bit...

RE: What Keeps You Coming Back?
The fact that even though I have to attend shows alone and sit in nosebleed seats behind a wall, Paul makes you feel like you can be sitting on stage next to him experiencing the show as much as anyone else!

Sigh. He's gonna be incredibly ridiculed over this.
Maybe so, but it's still PR! This is not the wackiest thing a musician has done by a mile

I'll stick with the odds on favorite, Europe/UK in Nov/DEC for two reasons..been a few years since there and that fact that he promised he'd be returning to at least Germany and UK this year in that interview in December 2013
I thought there was another interview around the promotion of "New"(either September or October) when he said would like do a 2014 show(s) the UK. But I don't recall anything about Germany or Europe mentioned in that radio interview. I think it was a US interview, but it hadn't been connected with any of the UK promotional appearance he had done. I just thought at the time it would be a Spring 2014 thing.

I would say that "It's So Easy" will probably be the song he plays, this has been a soundcheck staple and would probably be the front runner
I agree that would probably be the choice but since this is in Buddy Holly's birthplace(?) maybe he's working on another song : could be a surprise

RE: AHDN: Theatrical and DVD/BLU-RAY Re-Release Summer 2014
I am usually very good with acronyms but APIMP?( A Paul Is McCartney Paul?) Did I get it right I'm amazed Variety has their movie theatre info out and nothing internationally get considering the screening is the same month. I signed up to the British Film Institute website, newsletters and twitter. I'm on a few other movie news mailing lists and not a peep yet, so just following WOG Blog for now. I taped the film on VHS from PBS(I'm doing it again!!!!) in the 90s, haven't watched it in like 15 years and had a copy of "You Can't Do That". Not sure why I refused to buy it on DVD but now with this re-release on Blu-ray and at the movies, it can't get here soon enough.

I can't believe that Paul would skip Seattle after the amazing time that he (and thousands of his adoring fans) shared in Seattle at Safeco Field last year. It really was a very special concert.
well, at least Paul has a summer tour this year in the USA. It's been said by many people already but it's worth repeating. Not every place has had a visit by Paul either at all or for years. It's nice that he went to Seattle last year so hold on to that.

RE: Do You Have A "Go To" Beatles Album?
I'd probably pick Past Masters, or any greatest hits collection. I love album cuts but for a quick choice it's gotta be a collection.

RE: New Kid on the Block
My first rock concert was Genesis when I was 15. It will be very cool for you that it is a Paul show, but I think you will remember the audience and atmosphere just as much as the actual show itself. Don't forget to have fun!!!! Welcome here too, btw

RE: AHDN: Theatrical and DVD/BLU-RAY Re-Release Summer 2014
Just wondering how long this will take to announce the showing in July at BFI and also if other theatres are going to show A Hard Day's Night right before the Blu-ray/DVD are release in the UK? I saw the press release at the WOG blog site the other day.

RE: Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
The Jacksonville show seemed tempting at first but I'm not going to do it 'cause I've never been to that part of the state before so I don't know what the transportation is like. 15,000 people the stadium holds so that is pretty exciting in itself but I don't want to get lost in florida ops:

RE: What Beatles Item did you last buy?
I got The Beatles Live At The BBC Volume 2 Coffee Mug. Same as the album cover photo [/img]

RE: Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
I do know I stated the obvious before, but it looks like more new venues, venues he hasn't played, places he hasn't been for awhile, and significant dates(?) looking like they are being picked over the standard expected places. This is the tour for the album to continue promoting "New." I wouldn't be surprised if major US venues get ignored because of the "New" theme.

RE: The Paul McCartney "FASHION POLICE!" Thread
Very nice style he has been seen in recently. All those blue tones suit him well

I would be outraged if Paul skipped the US. How come he always tours in Asia. If he skips New York my top will blow. The nerve of that man!
He doesn't "always" tour in Asia. You could say that more for North America than anywhere else. Lately though he seems to like South America more and they seem to Love him!
The world is huge. Many countries can make a case of not being a priority on a tour but he really can't be questioned for his intention for going to Asia. South Korea is his first visit(solo?). Brooklyn, New York was, believe or not, a "New" place for him to play. As I'm originally a Brooklynite, I was just happy he was there even I could not be(I watched a bit on YouTube at the time and busted out crying) because I thought it would never happen (going to Brooklyn itself, not just NYC) Why is New Mexico not a possibility? It has the word "New"in it! The best thing about this being 2014 is that we have access to much information and media about each and every tour date that wasn't possible years ago. anyway- HEY BOB-I THINK I'M GETTING THE HANG OF THIS. Will McCartney only play "New" places???????

RE: Louisville, KY, Yum! Center, June 26th-RESCHEDULED 10/28
I agree that it wasn't overlooked about who the sponsors were before booking had been arranged. I ask what have other artists or even himself done in similar situations?

I've learned not to bet on anything until it is officially announced by McCartney on his site.
As quickly as something unofficial can be a go ahead, it can as quickly be a no go. I wouldn't take a risk that could potentially put me out of pocket. I don't understand who would unless they had money to burn.
