That is good to know Sam. Stray Cats were a good group. Also there is a television show down here called Happy Days that takes place in the 50s. My favorite character is a a guy named arthur Fonzarelli who is a greaser and when he snaps his fingers the jukebox turns on. I'm not sure whether you heard of it or not but it was very popular in the 70s and also the movie Grease which takes place in the 50s. That is a m usical based on teenage life in the 50s which I thought was pretty good. You might want to check it out and Happy Days if you come to CHicago. Happy Days comes on Nick At itie TvLand.

Hi Sam, How far have you gotten with the book? When will it be out? I can't wait to read it when you finish. Early rock n'roll sounds real good and there was a band in the 80s called the Stray Cats who used to make their music sound like rocabilly which I thought was pretty good. Rock N'Roll is here to stay it will never die. How is your screenplay coming along?

RE: Sam Leach - KEEP
Sam, I saw the picture of you meeting Jerry Lee Lewis. In my opinion noboby can play the piano as fast as he can. He came down here a few years ago but I didn't go I don't know why. Maybe because there would be alot of people my parents age. Even Little Richard came here and I didn't go, I didn't know he was coming till the last minute. Little Richard is pretty good himself and it is too bad he didn't get the credit eh deserved. HE even talked about how he didn't make it big because he was black and Elvis did because he was white and how Pat Boone covered his song and made it sell. I think he was a little disappointed that he got inducted into the rock n'roll hall of fame late and that Paul received the lifetime acheivement grammy before he did and Paul didn't mention him in his speech.HE siad it made him want to cry. Speaking of Jerry Lee Lewisisn't he a pretty religious person as well? I know Little Richard became a preacher.

Sam, I know but Elvis is considered the king of rock n'roll by the public. I wonder how he earned the title over Cuck Berry adn JErry LEe Lewis? As for Sinatra sorry to say but I'm not too big on him. I don't know why maybe because I'm too young or my parents like his song New York New York. I would have loved to have seen what Elvis would have thought about rap music.

RE: Sam Leach - KEEP
Sam, I used to be a big fan of Elvis when I was 7 years old. I had a toy guitar and tried to imitate him. Jailhouse Rock was my favorite song then.I have sideburns and people even call me Elvis sometimes. I don't look like him though. I haven't seen King Creole but I migth check it out someday. Did you ever meet Elvis? IF so what was he like? What made him above Chuck Berry,Little Richard,Gene VIncent,Jerry Lee LEwis, and Buddy Holly? There are some who says JErry Lee LEwis should have really been the king of rock nr'oll or Chuck Berry I often wonder what amde him the king and how he got the title?

Cibmib you are right we shouldn't forget those others. I like Jerry Lee Lewis also. We should even mention CHuck Berry,Little Richard and Gene Vincent. Mike you were saying that Paul thought Elvis's film career made his musio career go dwinhill? Maybe that is why Elvis didn't have many hits after that. Cbimbi it is sad that Col.Tom Parker took advantage of Evis. IT would have been good if Sam managed him then he may have been happier.

Hi Cbimbi, I do hope you get to see Paul if he comes to Brazil. Sam,I was just listening to an Elvis Presley cd called 30 number one hits and thought some songs were real good. John once said that Heartbreak Hotel turned him onto Elvis which I also thought was a good song. Hound Dog is great also as is Jailhouse Rock. What is the beatles favorite Elvis film? I know that Paul thought the army tamed him too much and he didn't like GI BLues or Blue Hawaii and he liked him around 1956 so I was wondering what their favorite film of his is?

Hi Sam and happy independence day to you too. I'm not doing much just my brother coming home for the 4th. Funny thing is that I hardly celebrate holidays anymore so it has become just like any other day for me. I also hate cheats too. Can you report a cheat?

RE: Sam Leach - KEEP
Hi Mike, I think Every Night is a good song also. As for A Love For You I've heard parts of it and it si a rocker. I expected it to sound like a ballad when I read the lyrics for it but when I heard clips fromt he song I was surprised. It is not a bad song. I wonder how far Return To Pepperland would have charted or partial To Your Abracadabra?

Hi Sam, I hope nest time Paul will take your advice. I believe he should have released Monkberry Moon Delight as a single as well as Oh Woman Oh Why. Those would have showed his rocking side to the public. I remember when Flowers In The Dirt came out and Paul was getting ready to annoucne his 1989/90 world tour. There was one lady on an airplane I met from england who used to talk about seeing the bealtes at the cavern and how bright Paul was. After we got off the plane she said enjoy Paul's new album. I remember it getting good reviews now that you mentioned it and was idsappointed when it didn't go to number one. I hated the 80s when Paul didn't go to number one as often as the 70s. Like you said he'll go to number one again one day.

Mike your choices sound great. Wings Over America is definitely a great album. I wish I could have been to see that tour except I was too small and not yet a Macca fan. That would happen seven years alter when Say Say Say came out.

RE: Sam Leach - KEEP
Mike I like Band On The Run,Wings Greatest and All The Best to name a few. I'd say Besides Band On The Run not counting the greatest hits and All The Best, Pipes OF pEace and Tug Of War. Wings Over America is a great album if a live album counts.

RE: Sam Leach - KEEP
Sam I would loved to have said that except I wasn't on t.v. You are lucky to have worked with them. I would love to have heard what they sounded like in the early days. I always thought they looked cooler in black leather jackets than ties and jackets. Mike as for my favorite beatles album it would be the White Album. I love While My Guitar Gently Weeps and the way Paul sang HElter Skleter. This album shows Paul can really rock! I wish I could see video clips of Paul singing Helter Skelter also. I've never seen him perform that.

RE: Sam Leach - KEEP
I guess so Sam. That is funny that you called me Paul. I wish I was him though. Giri is my real name and you knwo why I use the name Paulfan. I was just watching Access Hollywood and they showed the greatest bands of all time and guess who was number one? You got it The Beatles! they had an interview with a fan who remembered when they first became popular in 1964 and with Paul and Yoko and Ringo. Tt showed George from 1977 with Ravi Shankar. They even played songs like love ME Do,Yesterday, I Saw Her Standing There,Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and In My Life. I also saw an interview with them where a reporter asked them what do you says about pop music being put down that people say that Day Tripper was about a prostitute and Norweign Wood is about a lesbian and Paul replied we were just trying to write songs about prostitutes and lesbians. That was funny and I have the cd of that interview. IT is called The Beatles West Coast Invasion.

Hi Sam, Yes we should keep trying. IT is odd that the person gets votes. Who knows it may be rigged.
