Is this the longest intro?
Excluding instrumental based recordings by Paul and/or Wings and focusing just on their 'standard' songs, does 'Don't Let It Bring You Down' have the longest introduction before the lead vocal begins? At 1:04 it has quite a long intro but are there any other contenders? Any suggestions?

RE: “Home Tonight”/“In A Hurry” out Nov. 22nd
I've been listening to both songs over the last 24 hours and of the two I much prefer 'In A Hurry'. Although there is far too much going on in the arrangements which makes the song sound cluttered, I do like the opening verses and that the later, very catchy, "Much too late to celebrate" vocals. 'In A Hurry' is certainly for em the most interesting of the two songs.
'Home Tonight' still does nothing for me. It still reminds of a George Harrison type song (I can hear George singing this one in my imagination) but its not difficult to see why it wasn't considered for the ES album.

Polly Scattergood
Always good to welcome back Polly Scattergood with new material. Sphere is rather an unlikely choice for a single but it has whetted my appetite for the new album out next year.

A song that even George Harrison would have thrown away before recording.

Francie had actually originally showed up at Apple on Savile Row in April I believe, but they didn't get involved right away. When Jane was out of town, he moved Francie in to his London home. She was definitely around until at least July 28, 1968 (Mad Day Out photoshoot) but I think he sent her packing in early August.
Paul was seeing Francie on the 4th June ( just three days before he attended Mike's wedding with Jane) as Francie was at the recording session for Revolution 1 on that date.

Interesting interview for a change. It seems that Back To The Egg is up for an archive release soon since Paul said he was listening to Arrow Through Me recently.

Encouraging to see that Ringo's new album has crashed into the UK Top 100 Album Chart at..... #99.
