yesterday we released nino`s new single/video; as you can see - it rocks
the album will be released next week, let`s hope for the best, it doesn`t sound like anything he has done before; anyway IMO its his best -
RE: Any advice for buying a "boom stand/boom mic"?
you`d just have to go to a store that sells instruments and equipment, they usually have all sorts of microphone stands, and you can try them there... there must be some instrument/music-stores in barcelona

RE: What I'm doing 3.0 - Second Special Comeback
kapoo:
and as a writer John could do it all. but he was a lot like Harry. So good they lost interest. it came too easy, and they got tired of the craftmanship of being songwriters. If you don't have something to say, then why are you doing it? that kind of thing. That never happened to Paul cause he loved making music so much, and that in itself is cool. thats why he's got the greatest catalogue. He'll never stop. some people say John dried up, whereas I say he had nothing left to say or prove. There was nothing driving him anymore, as a person. and he wasn't going to work for anyone. its a rebel thing. Paul's more the music maker. as I babble on and on...
great analysis, especially the second paragraph

RE: James McCartney
ha, ha,before i clicked on it, i thought this was a thread about the band james (from manchester)... have to admit i was a bit dissapointed when i realised this is about paul`s son by the name of james

RE: Walls and Bridges
my favourite tracks are Steel and Glass, What You Got and #9 dream. Good Album; not anywhere near a masterpiece, but an interesting documentation of what john was all about in one of his craziest times, 50% sex, drugs & party hard 50% depression, frustration, anger...

RE: "21 Essential 21st-Century Albums" (??)
i think it`s common sense that Funeral is Arcade Fire`s best album, and not the suburbs; but maybe "essential" also means super-sucessful; then it`d be okay, since the suburbs is also very good, but surely not as indie as funeral

that's why she did that gesture when she received the Grammies to the "guys in the suits" (the record label bosses... well not to Stefan :lol
I never wear suits also the other label bosses I personally know don`t.
yes, I guess none of them was there in the Grammies
no, but me and my indie-label-boss-buddies were at the austrian version of the grammies (this year in may too; I`ve got two nominations for nino ) and i refuse to wear a suit... the major label bosses there do wear suits, but anyway, they`re not my mates guess what the austrian grammy is called? AMADEUS ... so there you go

RE: Adele
21st Century Paul:
They couldn't tell the difference between Mozart and Salieri or between the Beatles and the Tremeloes..
the mozart-salieri thing was just an hollywood invention. as far as i know, there was no big rivalvry between them. they just had to invent a bad guy for that amadeus movie It`s like that:
trying to make mozart cooler, which is alright, but in the end he was just a brilliant composer no more no less. -

Scarlett Johansson released recently an CD. What where the sales? Still the myth remains.... some people never know.
I much prefer scarletts albums to adele.
now you could say "I prefer Adele's looks to Scarlett's" too but the masses don't think that way, so looks doesn't matter for selling I've had this discussion so many times.... and I will again and again,it seems.
i don`t care how adele looks... or how scarlett looks, i`m talking about he music. i prefer scarletts.

RE: Top 10 Fav. albums
Cyllthain:

Cyllthain... Tonight`s the Night is ****ing mega; one of my favourite albums at the moment... have you read Shakey, the Neil Young biography... i just read it, "Tonight`s the Night" is the authors favourite album too
Yes! I absolutely love Shakey. If you're a fan of Tonight's the Night, by the way, I highly recommend you dig up some of the boots from that tour, since the performances are as mindblowingly fantastic as Jimmy McDonough makes them out to be. The quality is generally quite good, too! Certainly enough to enjoy the band's playing, and to hear nice & clear Neil's "MC" act. "Welcome to Miami Beach, ladies and gentlemen..." My top three are essentially interchangeable for me in terms of quality, but Tonight's the Night has that further, deeply personal dimension that puts it on top. (Wish You Were Here has that, too, but not quite as much.)
okay, than I`ll have to get myself some bootlegs from that tour... thanx
