[quote="shaun"] Can't think of the name of the theatre but it was being run by either Brian Epstein or somebody in Brian's company at the time. Hopefully someone can remember the name of the place The Saville Theatre?

RE: Sound Check
Beaglesdad5635:
Can anyone tell me what the deadline is for returning this e-mail. One of our party may need to drop out. I may not know until the day before the concert. Don't want to see the ticket go to waste. From my understanding once a name is designated to the ticket, there can be no changes.
Beaglesdad, when I have gone to soundcheck they check only the ID of the one who bought the tickets and the number of companions I think.. so if you find someone ready to go, they just have to enter w you, as the buyer. ie, my sister went w me, but I am the one who paid and my ID was the one they checked; there was no record of HER name at all -- she did get her purse checked!!! I just double checked w her and no one asked for her ID.. if I recall, they had a little clipboard too that probably showed buyer name and number of people for that buyer. so basically, the person would just have to pay YOU and be with you when you enter. Which should be easy enough to arrange.

RE: From which rows does Paul call fans on stage?
Yes they definitely scout people w signs at the soundchecks and also at the pre-show. At soundcheck they were actually videoing the signs/people, and I saw the guy, forget his name!! at the front of stage scoping out signs during the dj pre-show and taking written notes. It seems to me the choice is made before the concert starts -- not when Paul is actually onstage in the middle of the show.

yes vicks30, of course we want to hear!! and I was gonna say, he read the same sign at Cincinnati as well!! I was starting to wonder because there were TWO who had the gender reveal signs at Cincy -- it was starting to seem like too much internet buzz was going on or something, w everybody having the exact same signs! so, did you get them tattooed? are you going to?!! and how did you get such close tickets for Hershey, did you wait till after the Cincy concert or was it planned out anyway to go to both?

RE: Sound Check
Hey, the 'made in China' white cooler they gave us at soundcheck - mine was falling apart as soon as we got it! the fabric on the top 'lid' part by the zipper was loose, about 3 inches of it pulling out of the zipper seam, and the inside net pocketing that has a velcro bit on it to make two pockets or one -- the velcro part on the bag side is hanging by a thread. My sister who is good w these kinds of things said we can easily repair w fabric glue? but sheesh. anybody else get these problems? brand new too!!

RE: Beatles LOVE show at the Mirage
hey_kittay:
Just checked the schedule for LOVE, it only runs till October 02, 2016
No, no, hey_kittay, that is wrong!! You have to click "show more dates" and the schedule will take you out to the end of the year. Not trying to be pushy, I hope you go because you will LOVE it!! but that info is wrong, the show is on twice an evening Thursday - Monday. They take off Tuesdays and Wednesdays. https://v.nliven.cirquedusoleil.com/tickets/series/LOVE They all trained for 2 years for this new version, no way would they only perform for a couple of months and then stop!!! They are all so fit and the routines are so precise, I know they train every day. With that kind of investment, they are NOT taking breaks!! It would take too long to get that physical training back - and there are many many spots in the show where if they are not precise, they will either slam into another gymnast, or the floor, or the audience! and break a few necks!!!

That looks thrilling. Would like to see it oneday. But I am saving to go to Vegas to see Sir Elton this Fall so, can't afford both. Glad everyone is loving it!?
You cannot go to Vegas and not see the LOVE show! It is simply not permitted!
yes, hey_kittay, not allowed to skip LOVE!! Tickets start at $79 and there is not a bad seat in the house!!! We were down front but the best seats, the "producer seats" are up on second level and there are plenty of second level seats to be had! With this new version of the show, there are lots of light effects on the floor that are co-ordinated w the gymnasts, so it's better to be higher up. You've gotta see it! AND! in the Mirage casino, they play 99% Beatles music over the PA system!

Was Olivia there? I haven't seen any pics that include her.
I don't think she was, prudence1964 - nothing in the press and no one at the event mentioned her. It's too bad, I was looking forward to seeing her in person

RE: Beatles LOVE show at the Mirage
I was there too! about 3 "people" behind the women from Boston in the front row of the fan section. I got to the Mirage about 1 pm or so and saw them shortly after; I bet they were waiting at that area for at least 5 hours before Paul showed up. But where I was when I got there (5:30pm), a couple hours before Paul was scheduled, I was a few feet behind the front row, I am short (5'2") and had a great view of some guy's back who was about 6'4". My husband who is over 6'1", holding his arm up high w the camera, he was getting shots of only people's heads, like Ron Howard. Even for the Boston women in the front of the fan area, I bet they didn't see much because of all the press people and the way the 'red carpet' was set up, to the side and below a press platform. And Paul and Nancy and Yoko and Ringo whipped through real quick, stopping only a few seconds for photos. You really couldn't see them from the fan section. Yes, I'm complaining!! The show was fantastic, go see it if there is the slightest chance you can. I found a clip with 30 seconds from some of the songs, they don't allow video and don't sell DVD's. Go down past the top logo stuff, the video is top left in the images section. It's titled "The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil b-roll" It's the only video on the page. You CAN download it, look at the bottom right side of the page. Look for the 'A Day In the Life' clip at about 6 minutes in -- the girl sitting next to me said the lady in the red dress in that clip is her cousin! She said her cousin has been doing gymnastics since she was 3; & auditioned for Cirque cos they were looking for someone tall to play the role of John's mother! She said with this new version of the show, her cousin has been training for 2 years before it opened. And that they have a gym/workout facility right there at the Mirage. You don't see it on the video but her cousin, the red dress lady, does a long aerial spin section that raises her about 100 feet above the stage, spinning the whole way. It's just breathtaking. http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7880451-the-beatles-love-cirque-du-soleil/ Paul and Ringo came down at the very end to say thanks, and Giles Martin too but they had their backs to us (circular venue) and also a see-thru screen from the show was still down. And they didn't turn around or walk around the rest of the stage, just focused on one little part. Thank the Gods for other people's video. Oh, yeah --- we were walking around outside to see the pool, it's really pretty and right at that time they were making everyone leave for a "private party" starting at 5pm. Paul was scheduled for the 'red carpet' at 7:30 pm... so who do we bet the private pool time was for?!!!! Too bad our room was facing the other side of the building! And Yoko looked pretty frail, my hus did get some video of her before they made us move off of this platform at the red carpet event -- when she went through there, the staff was holding both of her hands and she was walking very stiffly. I guess age is catching up w her. I have a little bit of photo's/video that I can post later.

Was this in Cincinnati ? I know who you're talking about . Was she wearing a white dress? When she wasn't doing that awful sound ,she had her phone light on ,pointing it right at Paul . I was in 3rd row & we kept turning around to look at her,but she didn't care.I swear she nearly broke my eardrum during the Soundcheck
Yes, it was Cincinnati I am talking about. I don't know what she was wearing, I never turned around to look at her, I would have not been nice! But we were in section 3, row 5, seats 1&2 on the aisle. So kind of on Brian's side but closer to Paul. The war whooper was directly behind me, one seat over. So she woulda been sec 3, row 6, seat 3!! I know where you live!! haha.. Great seats and I loved that there was an aisle. I did see a woman who was about 6 feet tall and 30 lbs, dark tan, wearing a tight white dress... I think she was in sec 2? close to us. yeah, whoever did the loud Indian war whoop, it really echoed in the empty arena at soundcheck, didn't it?!!!

Un-f***ing-believable, as Lewis Black would say. what is wrong with people. Are you gonna post your 140 pics anywhere, WixRocks! ?

On that same note at the end there...the people that hold up their phone to film an entire song. I can't handle that. I'll gladly admit that I've got 140 photos from the concert last night.
whoops, WixRocks, I did that! ha! ops: but I am really short and my arm doesn't go that high, and I had a real small sony camera, not a big cell phone. AND I got some great, sharp close video which I will post here once I figure out how to get it on youtube -- so forgive me!! But, to beat all of the signs and the recorders, I had a girl right behind me who was doing an Indian war call whoop almost the whole concert. Even on the quieter songs like Eleanor Rigby, war whoops throughout the whole thing AND the guy with her actually was getting her to do it more so he could record it as a ringtone.... people can be so self-centered, it's hard to believe sometimes. I heard her during the soundcheck too although she wasn't right behind me then -- her whoops were almost louder than the band. If I wasn't a girl, I'd definitely be getting in some fisticuffs at these concerts!! Oh yeah, I have seen Ringo too, twice, his concerts are much more relaxed and just as much fun as Paul - just different. and I got first row seats on StubHub for about $100 each.

An absolutely incredible concert. No question about it. So as far as the voice goes: I think most people overreact on here and make harsh judgments from sh***y recordings. Yes, he's getting older but it's not glaringly noticeable for the entire three hours. I'm not sure what the solution is.
I totally agree w this, it was my third time seeing him and yes he sounds a bit older than 2013, but he sounded a little strained then too. It's nowhere near as bad as what shows up in these online cell phone clips... I don't know if it's just his sound system is so good or if it's that the cell mics are so bad.... but when you are there, his voice is not an issue. He really loves to perform, and he is really high energy at the moment his concerts are a joy. Cincinnati was fantastic too. The signs suck!! We had 5 or 6 right in front of us who would hold up their stupid signs every time he looked their way. It's kind of pathetic!!! And so freakin' rude to the people behind you, we ALL paid our money.
