It's not you. None of the 2012 merchandise is for sale in the store. No idea if they will ever add any of it. Shame if they don't, as there were lots of new designs on this leg, and I also know a few people who weren't able to buy shirts in St Louis, either.

Then those pictures are not from 1976. It was from his lost weekend period. John was busy with Sean in '76
None of the pictures are *from 1976. They are included in a datebook/diary/calendar FOR the year 1976. . I know there was also a diary book made for 1978 with more of Linda's photos (as I posted upthread) but I can't remember how many other years they were offered or which ones I have, because my Beatle/Paul books are not as organized as they should be just now.

From all the live footage I have watched I have to agree, it's a shame he toured such a mediocre album so heavily!
Actually the US portion of the New World Tour was shorter than originally planned. An additional 9 to 12 cities scheduled for later in June into July (on the third leg of the U.S. tour) were cancelled due to some unannounced reason.
I remember reading that too. I believe it was because ticket sales were soft for the first leg of the tour. Imagine that!
but true. I remember they were selling 2-for-1 tickets in Kansas City on the day of the show. 89/90 is still probably my favorite Macca tour. Those were the days!

RE: Linda's Pix For Seventy Six
I'm not on Facebook so I can't see the page but I assume it's pix from the '76 calendar book. I have this, it does have a lot of great Polaroid pix in it. I also have "Plates for '78" but am drawing a blank on the one from 1977 (or maybe there wasn't one, have to check my bookcase later ops: )

Interesting article about the 12/12/12 Concert album and why Paul and Kanye have so few/no songs on the album, respectively: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/confidential/short-article-1.1226054?localLinksEnabled=false "As for McCartney, the source tells us his minimal participation was straight-up vanity. 'Egos are also to blame for there only being one Paul track. He didn?t like the way he sounded and would only approve the one on the album. A shame, because ?Blackbird? was so beautiful live!? says the source. It?s ?unfortunate that celebrity ego can tarnish even a concert for charity.'" Take it with a grain of salt, obviously, as it's from The New York Daily News.
Yeah, I read that article, also. Interesting that he "didn't like the way he sounded." Guess he wouldn't have any input into "fixing" things on the album, so he just pulled the songs out.
Too bad, whatever the reason. The Nirvana track deserves to be on there, as does 1985, that was one of the best verisons of that I've seen him do. There are Springsteen tracks missing as well; both of his collaborations with Bon Jovi have been left off, not sure of the reason for that either, but that's also disappointing for me.

Anybody have a spare ticket to 121212 here? I'm afraid to use any broker site, eBay or craig's for fear of fraud. I did try both at the presale and at the regular sale. Not looking for the high priced seats.
I think everyone out there is only looking for the $125 or $250 seats (and that's Springsteen fans, too, according to the forum I belong to for him) but I don't think very many of those were sold...

Winders if regular networks are showing the gig in the states? I'm sure Paul will do just fine at this gig... will he throw in something new?
CBS is one of many networks covering the concert, Harley. Paul did mention having some "surprises" for the show.
Lets be fair the only surprise there will be if Paul doesn't do Hey Jude, this type of concert doesn't lend itself to "surprises" so more of the same and in this case that's no bad thing.
His setlist for Concert for New York was kind of surprising...I expected all Beatles but not I'm Down and he did a couple of songs from Driving Rain that I doubt most of that audience knew.

seating chart with seat numbers: http://www.lynch68.com/entertainment/seating/msgseatingchartlarge.gif ETA: The seating chart on Ticketmaster has the stage at the opposite end of the floor, and I would trust that chart over this one. When looking at this map, your section is #1 on the floor.
Is this a recent chart? Madison Square Garden was renovated recently and the seating layout has apparently changed somewhat, from what I have been told.

some singles still available in $2500 and $750 price levels around the lower mezz, also saw a $500 upper level as well. I doubt they had many tickets available in the $150 and $250 categories to start with.

Are they going to film the concert? Hope so!
It's being broadcast on TV, so my assumption is yes.
The Dec. 12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at Madison Square Garden will have a TV audience as well. HBO, AMC, Showtime and Sundance Channel are just four of the domestic networks that will televise the show aimed to serve as a benefit to the victims of the storm that caused tumultuous damage on the East Coast several weeks ago. Which other networks will air the concert is still being worked out, but several more are likely to be added. The show will be also be livestreamed by Hulu, Yahoo and AOL. from this article here: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118062698#.ULVNImL8UiE.facebook

Paul did NOT turn up at Bruce's show tonight. Bruce never mentioned him. That Vancouver DJ who started the whole story has a lot of explaining to do!

I can confirm pipe band members just walked past us into BC Place he will be doing Mull with the Vancouver Police Pipe band
OMG! Thank you for that confirmation! That's awesome! First time Paul has EVER done a concert in Vancouver, other than when he was still with the Beatles, and he's doing Mull of Kintyre! I wish he had done Mull in Montreal last year (we have a few awesome pipe bands here, too!) but we got Michelle and Birthday and Ram On, so I cannot complain. Still just a tad jealous, tho!
He won't do Mull in Montreal... It would've been a nice addition though Just realized... Will this be the first time he has done 2 back to back nights of Mull of Kintyre, let alone 3 times on one leg? McCartney history for ya, folks...
He did "Mull..." back to back during the Up and Coming Tour in 2010...Toronto.
Correct. And I saw it at the three Scottish shows (in a row) in 1979.

RE: Paul, BC Place, Vancouver, November 25th - ARCHIVE
I can't post pix but besides the union jack colors, there is a big screen on the outside of the building (facing Robson & Beatty) which is showing footage of Paul performing, and then a big On The Run sign that said Welcome to Vancouver. . Mull will not be bumped for Bruce, as I said in earlier posts it is pretty much a given for Canadian gigs other than those in Quebec. If Bruce shows up he will just join in on a song or they will swap something else out. Not Mull.

Yep, the sun is out, which can only mean one thing: Paul is in the city. And if the rumors are true that Bruce will come out to play with Paul, I wonder if they are going to be doing the same songs they did in London, or if they are going to play songs from Paul's current setlist. I hope they don't change up the setlist they've had the last couple shows because they were too good! One more sleep!
Rumor has it that he will join Paul on Get Back. This evidently is now Paul's "special guest" number. :
Interesting, hadnt heard that rumor yet. Bruce has only done Get Back live once, when he was on stage with Ringo and the All-Starrs during the tour when Clarence Clemons and Nils Lofgren were part of Ringo's band. Bruce could also do I Saw Her StandingThere which is another "guest" song for Paul.

Hi all! Im going on sunday and can hardly wait...also thinking of going to Springsteen the next day and only ticketmaster seats are ones behind the stage; has anyone here sat in those seats at Rogers Arena? worth it? I can buy scalped tix, but was wondering what the ticketmaster seats are like behind stage.. Thx!!
I cant speak for the Rogers, but behind the stage seats--for Springsteen specifically--are great and I would rather sit there than all the way in the back. They are close to the stage, there are no obstructions, and Bruce will turn around and play to the people back there. If I can't get a GA ticket so I can try for the Pit, behind stage is my second choice. There are screens above so you can watch the video feed if you need to see closeups.

On topic: Bruce should show up for Paul, cause Paul may not have time to show up for Bruce. Thats my practical approach.
I still think that neither is gonna happen now, since they both get to be together in NYC next month and it makes their "reunion" a lot easier. If they do decide to reunite in Vancouver, tho, I won't complain since I'll be at both shows, too. And Vancouver is a great city. Make sure to visit Stanley Park and Granville Island. How's the weather?
