Actually he does spends the whole show watching the crowd. He sees most of what goes on down front. But agree with what you said that the larger the signs, the easier it will be for him to notice them. The problem with that is when the people holding them forget that they are not the only ones in the venue. A little girl had a huge "can I have a hug" sign in front of me on Sunday night and her parents kept holding it up throughout the show. Paul probably saw it 50 times. I actually had to watch the two tattoo girls on the video screens because they held it up the entire time he was signing for them, and it completely blocked my view of the stage. I guess they were hoping maybe their little girl would be next up. That is the kind of stuff that drives me crazy about the signs and the rest of it, that people can't just put them down and enjoy the show. : MaccaDelinquent - excellent post and well-said.
