Wouldn't it be awful if, after all this, it wasn't him? *braces for angry comments*

I'm also hoping for a VIP package, just deciding whether soundcheck will be worth it.
That's what I'm wondering too. I want to get a close seat but I've been warned against front row. And going to soundcheck as well would be pretty good bonus. An extra hour of Paul! I am hoping if he does a couple of nights here to go VIP for one and then get the cheapest ticket I can find for another night.

And of course I'll be in the middle of no where with limited to no internet. Bloody work. Tickets usually go on sale the day after announcement right?
I think they go on a few weeks later. Honestly, I've not looked that much into it but we certainly knew about the Japan dates months before they went on sale. Now, I'm hoping to do a VIP package for this. I didn't even hear about the Japan packages going on sale until the message on the regular booking page saying they had sold out. Is it fairly easy to get one usually or is it a case of a swarm of seagulls over a single chip?

who is Bob Gannon?
Just a fan
I've got this weird image of you in silhouette with a flowing cape. "Me? Oh, I'm just a fan." and then flying off into the night with Band on the Run playing in the background.

It only took 14 years of campaigning over 222 pages but we did it.
You guys better buy tickets this time

I know it won't ever happen but I'd love him to do a secret concert like he did at Pappy & Harriet's. The Espy or The Corner would be wicked places for an intimate McCartney show.
That would be amazing! I went to a secret show for Crowded House at The corner, one of the best shows I've been too. I got told off for standing seeing Ringo at Festival Hall too. I ended up directly in front of him when he let the crowd race to the front towards the end of the concert.
Oh, that sounds like a good gig. I've only just recently been getting into Crowded House so I hope they play again some time.

I got told to sit down when I saw Ringo at Festival Hall in Melbourne. Everybody stood up when he came out and I was a bit starstruck and hadn't noticed everyone in my section had sat down.

Yes, a glass! It's a good day for Paul fans everywhere. His birthday, a new honour and a Down Under tour announcement that is 90% imminent.

I'm never sure what to make of a Bob Gannon post. Especially one as vague as that. Hmm...
It looks like a Good Sign.
I seem to have become very cynical! I'm wary of reading too much into things. I don't often quote Doctor Who (that's a lie) but I have found this one to hold true: 'I love humans. Always seeing patterns in things that aren't there.'

Doesn't make us much wiser if they're all having the same source though.
That's exactly it. We don't know who this "little birdie" is and why we should take their word for it. Half sceptical, half hopeful, though.

RE: Paul, Come To Australia
I know I've only been looking at rumours for the last 6 years as opposed to the last 24 but this seems to be the first time we actually have specifics. I mean, it could still be speculation but before, the only reports we had were 'Paul McCartney will be coming down under next year!' This time, we have a two month window AND a potential venue. That, at least, sounds a little unique. One of the things that makes me suspicious is that, doesn't he usually spend November/December at home with the family?

Richard Wilkins just announced a tour on Today!!!Dates in November and December apparently. OMG I hope this is true. We have been teased so many times. This is top of my bucket list , being a massive fan since 1963!!!I hope I can see him in concert before he is too old and me too!!! Cheers Chrissie
Just saw the video on Today's Facebook page. No more real details than the article except said with more certainty. To be fair, Michael Gudinski did HEAVILY hint at it on the radio late last year but I don't know why it seems to be Richard Wilkins who gets to announce it like this. Are they friends or something?

Fly Paul Fly to Australia:
There was an article claiming Paul was close to locking in dates with Michael Gudinski likely November and December. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/entertainment/confidential/paul-mccartney-close-to-locking-in-australian-tour-dates-set-to-rock-aami-park/news-story/481e2c0e22b90c43efdd4f5de94d8467
Article is restricted.... but fingers crossed for you all that it's true!
I was able to read it but now it redirects me to a subscribe page. Beyond the headline, there's no more information, really. Paul is apparently close to closing a deal with the promoter for AAMI Park in November/December. That's pretty much it - if true which we're all hoping it is.

RE: Paul, Come To Australia
I let out a fair few expletives when I heard that. I want it to be true so badly but I'm just so suspicious these days. Let's hope that if talks ARE going on that this doesn't completely scupper it. The article doesn't seem to give any source. Anyone know anything here?

For everyone feeling disappointed that there haven't been dates added in your state yet, spare a thought for us poor sods in the UK who haven't had a single show on this whole tour since it started over a year ago...and still nothing!!
Perhaps you will get a Nov/Dec tour?
I feel a bit bad for us but then I remember that Australia haven't had him for 24 years. So that makes me feel better
Ehehe, yeah... Just reading through the dates, I realised that a friend of mine is going to be over there at exactly the right time. Don't you hate lucky people?
