Recordings are surfacing (PM is anyone any help) and before "Queenie Eye" he says "This one's called Queenie Eye, ok, it's for Gracie and Zoe" - no idea who they are and Google doesn't either but people on setlist.fm are claiming it's "Jorie Gracen"...anyone know for sure ?

RE: Sound Check
Yep and two days later it's hard to believe it really happened, quite a few challenges overcome...First time I saw Paul was in that same arena in 1989, nowhere near as close of course. Was lucky enough to get good spots like that with the Stones too and while you're waiting in that spot you're thinking you'll have to take in as much as possible but once it starts you just go with the flow...and before you know it, it's over ! I was amazed when I first started talking with Stones' fans who saw them 10+ times per tour but I suppose it's trying to relive that fleeting moment as much as you can, I did it for the Stones, and yes it works in the sense that you've got another show to look forward to when the latest one is over...except you're always left wanting more. I talked to several people at the soundcheck who were doing that for the "One on One" tour as well

RE: Sound Check
EDIT - thenightfish beat me to the punch Well there's no GA in the US right ? You must be referring to the actual soundcheck? There was no running for that yesterday AFAIK, it was on a first come first served basis as far as I could tell and we were at a good distance anyway. I was in the second group that got ushered in and I actually took a few steps back to be on the slightly elevated mixing desk platform. SOUNDCHECK BEFORE THE MAD DASH AFTER THE MAD DASH

RE: Paris, France - Accor Hotels Arena - May 30th - ARCHIVE
I'd done my best to avoid any spoilers but the RS rss feed mentioned "A Hard Day's Night", didn't know it was the opening number though. I was thrilled to get "Letting Go", "You Won't See Me" (mini masterclass mode) "In Spite of All the Danger", "Love Me Do" (don't we all remember seeing young Paul in that first B&W video...), "FourFiveSeconds" (Macca's version is that one that should have been released) or "Hi, Hi, Hi" (I keep thinking it's going to be Helen Wheels, hehe...). Honestly he could sing anything from his Beatles, Wings, Solo catalogue the audience would love it Getting "Hope of Deliverance", "Let Em In", "Ram On" or even "Only Mama Knows" during the soundcheck was wonderfull too. I'm glad I went "all in" for this one, but it's amazing how easy it is to get spoilt and take things for granted what with the Soundcheck, the spot on the rail between Paul and Ray, too much of a good thing?

RE: 2016 rumors - new music?
In an interview for "Le Parisien" published yesterday before the Bercy show he says he was calling them on his way to the studio to record songs for his new album !
JoeySmith:
I'm not sure if these 3 tunes have already been mentioned but these should be included in any new Paul "rarity" CD: 1). "Goodbye" demo 2). "Wings of a Nightingale" demo 3). "Politics of Love" w/Peter Gabriel All 3 contain beautiful McCartney melodies, but most of the world havent heard them. A travesty!
I'm not aware of Politics of Love ever having been circulated? I can vaguely remember a mention of a live rendition by Peter Gabriel maybe ? Yes that's it : http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=87118&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

RE: Sound Check
So it didn't work out too bad in the end as I managed to grab a spot on the rail and could rest my bag against it. Not a backpack but an improved "tote" bag I suppose and with the poster it couldn't be zipped which was a bit of a problem with the rain later A very nice experience overall with some nuggets during the soundcheck (Hope of Deliverance, Ram On) and a pretty chatty Paul I was next to the desk and they didn't seem to be doing much so it was quite funny at the end when Paul asked them if they had all they needed...it's more of a "pre-concert" really Crowd was rather large (100+ people?) which was fine for the actual soundcheck, less so for the mad dash to the rail! They'd had us all come out and line up before letting in the "early entry GA" (another 100+? ) behind us and they could do so much to control the movement once they let us move forward...I doubt any early entry GA made the rail or the first two rows so if you're going to pay a big premium you might as well go for the full package if it's a GA show. Glad to have gone for it for my 6th concert since 1989 as it's a unique experience and thanks for the help and tips here.

It's over was friggin' fantastic, worth every penny to see him from the rail for this (almost) lifetime Macca fan! Feels like he's playing to just you Half joking as he does make a lot of eye contact. Will sort my pics and post the good ones here.

grzegorz67:
It's absolutely peeing with rain here in Paris today. I'm in GA standing and will shortly be heading to Bercy to queue up (wait in line). Anyone down there already ?
Rain has now stopped fortunately but predicted to be very heavy from 1 to 5, hope they're wrong! Let us know how it goes but you should have a good spot in line. See you inside, don't have a Macca tshirt to wear so might go with Grrrrrregory

RE: Sound Check
Thanks, probably the same thing, what an oversight, they don't give much of a toss do they...and Paris will be the first GA show before Madrid so no one's had a chance to get this fixed.

RE: Sound Check
That's good news, thanks. They did mention a "bag you can wear" too, not sure what they meant exactly (shoulder?). Does everything fit in the bag ?

Enjoy ! For anyone with the HSE/GA package I've got some bad news...I called Eventtravel to inquire about left luggage but they have nothing lined up (and there won't be an option to pop out to give it to someone outside) so be ready for your limited edition numbered lithograph to be crushed if you're in GA. I pointed this out as a bit of an oversight but they didn't have anything else to suggest at this point. They told me I could email enquiries@eventtravel.com which is what I did to ask if something could be figured out, feel free to do it too !

RE: Sound Check
Quick question on the soundcheck+package. I suppose you get your "goodies" upon arrival but what do you do with them later? I suppose you can carry them around during the soundcheck but what about later when you're in GA and possibly "fighting" for your spot...any chance of some type of "left luggage" ? Thanks ! EDIT - so I called Eventtravel and there is no left luggage so be ready for your limited edition numbered lithograph to be crushed if you're in GA. I pointed this out as a bit of an oversight but they didn't seem overly concerned...

About spoilers careful if you have Rolling Stone Magazine in your RSS feed!

RE: Sound Check
Apparently only 1 HSE left for Paris on May 30th...cheapest HSE ever -I think) at EUR495

RE: "Thrash Mix" should've been the single
Interesting idea, would certainly have been worth trying, I mean what does he have to lose at this point
