I think that's a pretty good distribution. I mean, there are a lot of solo (and Wings!) songs I'd like to hear, but it's hard to quibble with the Beatles. And for every song he plays where I'm like, that's not really my favorite, there are 15,000 people in the arena screaming and crying. Especially for the Beatles songs. And then I'm the one going crazy for Hi, Hi, Hi! (Thanks Paul!)

Yep, is a good distribution, specially if you consider that Paul is the only keeper of Beatles's legacy. Paul has different publics (Beatles fans, Wings fans, McCartney fans)... people like you and me have heard every single album and every song he made and we would love to hear more of his solo work. Anyway, I had the privilege of hear those wonderful Beatles's songs and is a memory that I will never forget. That is more valuable than hear songs like 'My Brave Face' or 'The World Tonight'

      You are joking, right???

I'm not talking about changing the whole setlist, of course. But if Paul plays 'Mull' exclusively in Canada, that means he can (and he does it) change it. That was my point

You asked if Paul changes his set list every concert. That is very different from playing "Mull" exclusively in certain Cities in Canada.

No, I asked if Paul does a thing like that (adding a song or songs for a special occasion) very often.

Go back and read your own post, ok?

Maybe the prime question would be: Does Paul change the setlist in every concert? perhaps, 'Temporary Secretary' will be part of the next concert (today or tomorrow in Canada) and nothing else. The same for 'Mull' I asked if 'Temporary Secretary' is there as part of a special occasion, and I asked before people told me that Paul plays 'Mull Of Kintyre' every time he goes to Canada. 'Mull' was never part of his tours, the same for 'Temporary Secretary'. I suppose he added those songs for something in particular, so that would mean he makes changes in the setlist. We all know the songs he usually plays in this tour, and those two are not part of it. But don't worry, the other guys have answered me

I was checking the current setlist of the Out There Tour and I found two big surprises. First of all, 'Mull Of Kintyre'. Really? is he playing it? I mean, is the original version or is a kind of live reedition? A wonderful song, a kind of national anthem And second... 'Temporary Secretary'??????? What is that? I make the same question, is he playing it in a normal way? I don't understand, however it's a big surprise! Maybe the prime question would be: Does Paul change the setlist in every concert? perhaps, 'Temporary Secretary' will be part of the next concert (today or tomorrow in Canada) and nothing else. Mull is always in for Canada. Temporary Secretary was added earlier in the year...England 1st time?

Excellent choice!!!!! Paul should play more songs his solo career. I never understood why he doesn't play songs like My Brave Face, No More Lonely Nights, Pipes Of Peace, The World Tonight or Young Boy. I know he thinks in the fact that people pay a lot of money to see him and probably they will demand more Beatles's songs. Anyway, is hard to understand the reason of his attitude about his own catalogue.

Am I the only one who is crazy about So Bad (both the song and the video)? Heck, I love all the video material for POP! I think there could easily have been two more hit singles from the album if The Man and Keep Under Cover had been released as well..

No, you aren't the only one. I LOVE So Bad, and its accompanying video. Thought that the song was a perfect Paul ballad. Also love the video for Say Say Say. Unlike others on this forum, I don't see Paul's collaboration with MJ on this album as the nadir of his career. I enjoy The Man, too. No matter what you say about POP as an album, it still contained some good music with Paul's signature pop hooks. Not a great album, but it is one I enjoy on occasion.

Pretty good songs, yeah. I would like to know if 'Say Say Say' was a big hit in its time. I don't know why but I feel it wasn't recognized like it should. 'The Man' is wonderful, and it wasn't released as single!! incredible. I'm not a big fan of PoP but 'Say Say Say' and 'So Bad' are jewels.

'The Pound Is Sinking', what a fucking masterpiece. A song that could perfectly fit in any of Bowie's album from his Stardust era. Amazing. The 'Did I ever...' part kills me, you don't expect that scream so full of passion. About the reedition, is simply wonderful. Like most of his editions, Paul works hard on the improvement of the sound, the biggest problem in Paul's career. And by the way, I'm in love with the demo version of 'Wanderlust'.

The next one will be Flowers In The Dirt. People have already seen the "coming soon" card in the new deluxe sets. I've said it before, but I think Flaming Pie will be next after that. A very personal album, and his biggest success in 15 years (since Tug Of War). WL/RRS and LT/BTTE: I don't think Paul remembers those albums fondly, but I think they'll come out somehow, maybe in less elaborate editions. Yes, BTTE has some outtakes, notably "Cage," plus the half-hour TV special with videos for several songs. And I like "Love Awake" better than "Winter Rose"! 😉 Press To Play: Not a successful album, but then again, it's currently out of print, so who knows, maybe it will come out in some kind of expanded edition, maybe Paul remembers it as a fun album to make, very experimental. Wouldn't hold my breath! (The producer of it, Steve Lillywhite, has not been shy in saying that he thought they were just not good songs, and he clashed with Paul while making it. I like it, though.)

Great!! I love 'Flowers' but who you think it will be its companion? Paul usually makes two releases in a row, right? if he keeps the tradition, I guess he will pick 'Press To Play' despite its an unsuccessful album. I though that Hugh Padghman was the producer of PTP, am I wrong?

Press To Play is a very solid rock and roll album. It is not awful. Sometimes the visitors to this website drive me mad. McCartney has NEVER recorded an awful album. The flippant comments made about Pauls' music by people who haven't done squat in the music industry just makes me sad. As I have said before, it's Paul &$&$&@@!! McCartney!!!!

For the McCartney's standards is an awful album, his weakest effort by far. Of course, if you comparte PTP with the current music, well, it is a good album. But to my ears, PTP is just a lot of modern sounds with no direction and sense. PTP has an esencial problem: most of the compositions are bad, simply bad. Just my opinion.

So, 'Tug of War' and 'Pipes of Peace' are coming out. What about the future? my expectations... 1. Press To Play/Flowers In The Dirt: I guess they're the next ones. I don't expect anything from PTP... is an awful album, but curiously it has one of my preferred songs, 'Footprints'. Maybe PTP won't be released and 'Off The Ground' will take his place, but honestly, if you have heard 'The Complete Works', why would you need a reedition? 2. London Town/Back To The Egg: LT deserves an extraordinary reedition. The period '77-'78 was incredibly productive for Paul and Wings, however, many songs were not included in the oficial tracklist. I don't know if there's extra material on BTTE, that's why I believe it will be a very simple reedition, including 'Daytime Nightime Suffering' as a big new. My personal "illusion": a single version of 'Winter Rose/Love Awake' without the 'Love Awake' part . Is such a wonderful song, followed by a boring soft pop balad. 3. Flaming Pie: This is a personal wish. My preferred album. I'm conscious that FP is only 18 years old, therefore the reedition is not necessary yet. 4. Wild Life/Red Rose Speedway: Time to complete the Wings's reedition. I like WL so maybe it will surprise us. RRS is almost perfect, we just need a version of '1882' to be forever happy

Well, if he keeps singing songs like 'Maybe I'm Amazed' and songs that demands a big vocal effort, he will probably lose his voice faster than he should.

I think we're already there, sadly. Studio technology is his friend.

Exactly. Anyway, I think Paul doesn't care too much about that. After 50 years of life dedicated to music, is evident that memories are more important than present. 'New' was a good work, but, what means 'New' in Paul's career? just one more work.

If "Hallelujah" is the Leonard Cohen song, as it certainly is, I join it. Cohen and McCartney, quite interesting in my head. Cohen has a subdued nerve.

Well, I really don't know which version. Im trying to imagine a simpler version, even simpler than Buckley's version. Imagine Paul doing that song in the White Album time, just him and his guitar. That would be lovely. In the present, I guess his version would be more similar to the original.
