which mayor? What city?
Buffalo. major concert announcement with the Mayor. That usually means Paul. So we have Toronto, Columbus, Detroit and Buffalo. One city left...
It's been 10 years since MSG....

just heard the mayor is attending the announcement tomorrow
Thanks, can't wait for official date so I can book my favorite hotel there - MODA! I always book the hotel first, to try to beat the natural price hike, once the word gets out.

Buffalo would not be surprising, as they have hosted major rock groups recently - Rush, Stones, Eagles, etc. - someone there is really on the ball. First Niagara DOES have decent acoustics.
stevie wonder in nov
How could I forget? We're going to that one, too! As I said, First Niagara Center is suddenly booking a lot of top concerts. (Stones were at Ralph Wilson Stadium).

Also Live Nation presale on Thursday, followed by General Sale on Friday. Persistence is key...in the past, I've struck out until the General Sale, then ended up with decent tickets. Each presale has its own allotment. AmEx Preferred has significantly better tickets than AmEx, but you need the passcode, which is pretty easy to find. In both cases, you must pay with AmEx.

Yes, Columbus is showing up on the mobile phone site, but not on regular ticketmaster. The Carrier Dome in Syracuse is wide open that week and the week following. I know it doesn't fit the pattern but...
That would be amazing, but the Dome has crap acoustics.
Columbus shows up on the ticketmaster app on Oct. 13th
Decided to spring for Gold Tickets - Floor Center, Row 8 seats 15-16 - looks like it's the first row after the 1st section break - VERY happy! BTW, they were $747 CAD. Also, 1st row, hot sound, gold & silver are all on sale today through ticketmaster.ca...anyone have any idea if seats run left to right on the floor?

Will platinum tickets be available today?
The only link we have right now is this: http://www.ticketmaster.com/paul-mccartney-out-there-toronto-ontario-10-17-2015/event/10004F0ED5C2C09A?artistid=735610&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1
Thanks! Are platinum tickets considered VIP tickets?
We think they're different but trying to find out more info for you...

He DOES perform Mull of Kintyre in Toronto - that makes the soundcheck that more special, as it's a real rehearsal. Can't afford that this year, but for those considering it, Toronto is the place to go! I've already made hotel reservations, now just have to wait for presale info & then go through the Russian Roulette of snagging good seats! I just might be able to scratch enough to get Platinum...but I'm starting to wonder if he might go back to MSG - he hasn't played there in ages!
I wonder if Paul lets soundcheckers in for the Mull Of Kintyre rehearsal. Anyone know or done it before?
Yes! It was wickedly expensive, but great! If I had the extra $$$, I'd do it again.

The Rolling Stones are pricing their top non-VIP tickets at $403, which makes the $254 ticket for Sir Paul a bargain. Madonna also charges more - these are all non-VIP tickets & obviously, cheaper tickets are also available. In my area, people freak out at the thought of paying $90 for a concert, which is why we never get the high-end shows! I'm just glad he still gets a kick out of performing - it's always a thrill to be there, no matter where you sit.
There is yet another open presale through Live Events Thursday at 10 am EDT - this is before the general sale on Fri. Passcode: PERFORMER http://ev15.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventList?groupCode=PM&linkID=global-wachovia&shopperContext=&caller=&appCode&c=EML_LN_615170&camefrom=EMLN_615170 Copy & paste into your browser. This is not anything supersecret, but some may not have heard....Good Luck!
In most cases, they logically follow the section numbers, so row 1 seat 1 would run from ec. 1 towards sec. 2. Sale thing with side seats, sec 114 row 1 seat 1 would run towards sec. 115. Seat numbers go in the direction of the higher section number.
YAY - not always successful with fan club presales, but we got through and have FOUR tickets tickets, always fun to take someone who is a McCartney concert virgin! Thanks PM!!!
Somehow, things came together, cashed in some FF points I forgot I had, heading to Atlanta later today! Albany seems SO LONG ago. I've got famiy/friends in the area, so accommodations aren't a problem. Was REALLY surprised to pick up 2 decent-ish tickets (sec. 102) just a couple of weeks ago from TM.
I just posted 4 AmEx Preferred tickets for sale (face value, fans only) in Sec. 121 Row N Seats 5-8, PM me if interested. I bought them, not knowing my husband bought tickets, too!
