Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
-
Paul has recently stated in an interview with a Brazilian magazine called "Época" that he intends to come to Brazil in late 2012 to perform songs from "Kisses On The Bottom" live and perhaps record some songs in "bossa nova" style with Brazilian musicians: "No fim do ano, pretendo apresentar o trabalho Kisses on the bottom no Brasil e daí, talvez, me encontrar com músicos brasileiros para gravar bossa nova". http://revistaepoca.globo.com/vida/noticia/2012/04/paul-mccartney-nao-ha-mais-conflito-de-geracoes.html Also, there are rumours of concerts in three Brazilian cities in 2013. The info comes from PlanMusic, the company responsible for bringing Paul to perform in Brazil since 1990. They are trying to negotiate those concerts, but if other South American countries are interested as well that would increase the chances.

Event Travel asked on FB who we want to see do upcoming shows in 2013. The majority of the answers were Paul in the US. Event Travel said a lot of people were going to be happy next year.

And Scotland. For *#*@ sake what have we got to do to get another gig up here!!!

I come on here every day for two reasons: 1) I'm addicted to Paul McCartney. 2) I have this silly, hopeless need to check just in case some tour dates are announced. Siiiiiiiiiiiigggghhhhh. *daydreams about soundcheck VIP loveliness*

I've got a feeling that we're getting mroe dates this weekend....Paul always lets everything out at once! We've got three concerts in the next week, all the details for pre-ordering ram....we just need new tour dates! Maybe some more Euro dates to accompany the lonely Denmark gigs? ....maybe a BIRTHDAY concert?!?

Can't see him doing just the Denmark shows on their own. UK dates are sure possible.

Don't forget, as you plan Paul's touring schedules this summer that his adopted home town London is hosting the Olympic Games from 27th July to the 12th August 2012. Even if it turns out he has no commercial part in events, as a dad and grandad it's a one-off unique occasion on his home turf that anybody would like to be around for - even if just to chill out with a few beers with family and grandchildren in front of the TV. His home is about 10 miles from the Olympic Park, and the sports events are spread at venues all over the city - Archery at Lords Cricket Club - etc cycle racing and Marathons on the streets. Add into all that the associated social and cultural events and concerts planned to co-incide it might be a good time to take a holiday staycation. Stella will certainly be around with her designs for the Team GB sportswear taking prominent place of pride - hopefully - atop many a medal podium Many would, of course, suggest this is good reason to escape the city for the whole period, but I can well imagine Paul, Nancy and family throwing themselves into the mix... NO doubt Paul will be there at some point of course!

I just thought of something. Paul hasn't done any shows/touring in the US during a presidential election year since 1976. Don't know if it's a coincidence or intentional. If so, that could mean zippo.

I wouldn't say "like no other"...I hope he does some US dates and it doesn't turn into 2003 or 2004 all over again...not there was anything wrong with them! They just feature ZERO US Paul concerts!

I've got a feeling a feeling deep inside he will be staying in the UK & Europe during the second half of the year...................... I've been wrong b4

I'm so torn right now. On one hand, the thought of no Paul shows in the US this summer is throwing me into a depression. On the other hand, I could pay some bills if he doesn't do any shows. Maybe this fall/winter?
