I got the deluxe edition and the 2 disc vinyl version from amazon and I got the deluxe yesterday (very lucky as I live in the US) and I get my vinyl tomorrow. BUT I ordered the mono vinyl, lithograph, and shirt from paul's website. They both have been delayed and I have not heard anything back yet! NEVER order from paul's preorders...

well after getting messed around in the past by topspin I ordered it from amazon it arrived on monday it is fantastic what a package looks and sounds great. how do you download the downloads? it lets me log in when I click download I get this message "You don't have access to this product" yep topspin strikes again! what a useless company

Amazon did their part and the package was home on release day! Great job by the Concord/MPL people on this one. Everything is beautifully designed and built with care and quality. Well done! I've played the hi-res downloads and Thrillington so far and both sound very good indeed. The music videos on the DVD also look quite clear for 1971 era home shot movies. The 8x10 photos are superb and the book is great as expected. My only minor complaint is that the book binding doesn't seem strong enough and is already peeling a bit towards the back cover. Other than that, this one is A grade!

I have purchased four copies of the special edition (one for each child and one for the house - car, jukebox, etc.) and one copy of the deluxe edition (book) to be shared by the family. I keep a close watch on the Archive Collection. When the price drops, I then purchase additional deluxe editions (book) to include as gifts for Christmas, birthday, etc. So far, I have been lucky with BOTR at $57.48, McCartney at $49., and McCartney II at $49.99.

tried to purchase the deluxe version with Tshirt etc message says some items out of stock Emailed Topspin see what happens

Here's a good detailed review of Ram: http://theseconddisc.com/2012/05/23/review-paul-and-linda-mccartney-the-paul-mccartney-archive-collection-ram/
The relationship between Paul and Linda was celebrated with the jazzy swing of ?Heart of the Country.? Complete with scatting, it sings the praises of the simpler life they had discovered together. Linda also must have been on Paul?s mind for the saucy, Buddy Holly-esque ?Eat at Home,? with its playful come-ons (literally): ?Come on, little lady, let?s eat at home!? Though the ?McCartney doesn?t rock? myth has oddly recurred time and time again, it couldn?t have originated with Ram. Not only does he sing in various voices on Ram, but he frequently draws on rock-and-roll influences on songs like ?Smile Away? without resorting to outright pastiche. A spellbinding (and vaguely sinister) rock riff is threaded through ?Monkberry Moon Delight? with McCartney shredding some vocal cords on a lyric that?s free-associative and nonsensical on the surface. As to whether there?s anything underneath, I?ll leave that to all of the Macca scholars who have dissected every lyric on the album!
Well worth a read.

I ordered my deluxe set from Amazon Canada, as the price was a little lower than Amazon US. I should have it by next week. Now the price is about the same in both stores. I also ordered the 2-LP set from Amazon Canada. The mono vinyl is not available at those stores, so I ordered it from Amazon Italy, which offers it for the lowest price.
