Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
-
Pauls setlist SUCKS. It needs a good revamp. 50% of the songs need changing. And balance the songs out better between solo, Wings and feckin Beatles.

I wouldn't say it "sucks"...because there certainly isn't one song on it that sucks. It has just grown old for those of us that have had more than one macca gig in the past ten years. Which isn't unheard of since his shows are so phenomenal, nearly everyone on here that has seen him, has seen him multiple times. So, it just needs minor-revamping and, I a new studio album and continuous remasters for the next few years SHOULD fix that...of course, you see now he treated all the others besides Band on The Run. "McCartney" got us "Maybe I'm Amazed", which was great to hear live instead of "My Love", especially since he actually nailed it my night..."McCartney II" got us "Coming Up" for like 2 shows. : And "Ram" got us....oh, wait..."Ram" got us...NOTHING! What were you thinking Paul!? :

NO MORE SOUTH AMERICAN DATES PLEEEEASE. Urgh
Hey, if Paul likes performing in South America who are we to stop him? I say Paul, follow your heart!
If he was to follow his heart he'd be playing all over the world. But he's obviously following his wallet by playing SA year after year after year...
Why following his wallet? He has been playing the U.S. quite a bit and selling out here as well as SA, Mexico etc..

I'm curious: Because Paul seems to perform in South America quite regularly, do you suppose that they would want the same show or an updated set?
I think they are more "Beatles" crazy. It may have to do with many have learned to speak English from the Beatles records. That's for the old timers mainly I guess...same for places like Russia & some other countries.

It's true. I'm not from SA but I'm from Mexico and I learned english in an institution and then the beatles records helped me a lot. But the real reason is that here in America (continent, please) we have music that really really REALLY sucks (reggaeton, wachiturros, tribal, banda, etc) and when Macca (or others) comes is like heaven. You live in countries where your worst music is hip hop or rap but here we have worst music than that.
-
Oh, and another reason is that Macca has here a lot of young fans. I was one of the older people that were in his hotel and I'm 21.

Paul can sit in a chair and read the phonebook if it pleases him. We'll love him even if he pulls an Elvis 77

Oh no, guys. I'm talking about the devotion from the South American audiences, not about me. I'm Macca worst critic, at least among my maniac Beatle friends

I get the phonebook reference. The setlist is important, the current one is made up of some of his best. I'm good with it as well. Over the years we got some great changes. Letting go, I'll follow the sun, The Night before, Jr's farm.
Yeah....the setlist is as stale as decade old bread. Fact.
