as for me in 2012 started jan 1st 2012 with Guns n roses
How was Axl? I saw the remains of Guns n Roses back in 1992 at Giants Stadium, it was the Metallica \ Guns n Roses tour. Guns was down to Axl, Slash and Duff from the original lineup. That was a really good show (by both groups) and Guns actually made it through their whole set that night.
Saw them in Liverpool and they where great cam eon at 11pm finished at 2 am,Axl threatened to walk off after having a "drink" thrown at him but settled down to give a great gig, voice held out well though i got the feeling he was holding out becuase when the "full" voice came out it gave me goosebumps. Bloody good show.

Still no definite concerts for me yet but another on my radar... The Zombies- June 16th @ Montgomery College...just $20! Has anyone seen them lately? I know Colin Bluntstone and Rod Argent are still in the group but...$20 sounds like the "washed up 60's band" price
-
2012 was very light for concerts...Saw only 3, but 3 great ones in a one month span. Bruce Springsteen, Elton John and the Million Dollar Piano, and Roger Waters The Wall Live. Don't know what 2013 holds yet, waiting to see who announces. So far only one, going to see The Who in one month.
-
wanna go and see The Boss at Wembley in June, no luck so far.
-
I saw a lot of Beatles tribute bands in 2012: Revolution, Meet the Beatles, Meet the Beetles, Brit Beat, The Brothel Creepers, Rain and The Fab Four, to name a few. I'm reserving my $$$ for a VIP seat to Paul (if he ever comes back to Atlanta or somewhere close!)
-
Are Meet The Beetles a tribute to Meet The Beatles? There's a great tribute in Vegas which I saw this year, has it's own Ed Sullivan and dancers too.

he sounded great from what i can remember did alot of his old stuff and he still had it (voice) and he wasnt a prick ; ) i remember the 92 tour i wanted to go to that but i was kinda young but i do have the shirt from that tour i got it on ebay : )
I'm glad he still has his voice, if they ever reunited the original group (or even without Adler) I would be really interested in seeing them again. Unfortunately like most of my old concert shirts my shirt from that show is long gone.

Well based off numerous youtube encounters, I've decieded seeing The Zombies for $20 would be like the bargain of the year! I'll be getting my tickets tomorrow Feb. 1st- Beauty and The Beast (Musical) Feb. 16th- Larry The Cable Guy (Comedy) June 16th- The Zombies!!! The Hippodrome announced their 2013-2014 season today...I'm expecting to get tix for "We Will Rock You" (October) " Jersey Boys (November) and "Peter & The Star Catchers" (May 2014)
-
Looking at two "festivals" of sorts...Spring Doo Wop Fest (Duke Chandler is the headliner) at Meyerhoff (saw Ringo there last year, right here in Baltimore). This is one of those shows they film for MPT. Also, the "Happy Together Tour" at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster PA. Feat. The Turtles (of course), Chuck Negron and some other 60's one hit wonders... REALLY anxious to see what ticket prices are like though for...Frankie Valli!!! He'll be at AMT in July. Starting to shape up for 2013!
-
Nice on one The Zombies, Colin Blunstone is doing a solo show and is coming to my home city, only problem is I'm far far away at University. A new theatre opened in my home town too, it's attracting a few 60s bands, none of this ever happened while I was there. :

Going to see Bruce Springsteen in June , maybe Paul will make another appearance too

Rock ON! I'm missing the whole tour...I was in travels from St. Louis when they played here in November, and I can't afford the February show nearby.

I strongly recommend trying to go one. There's a chance this could be their last tour due to Pete's ear condition. But it's almost like that with every Who Tour now. My dad went to their "farwell" tour in 1982, farewell my ass

Yeah, I missed em in '09 and kicked myself for it...now I'm missing em in '13! :

Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell with Richard Thompson opening!! A "meet-and-greet" with Emmylou beforehand to boot. Honestly beyond excited. Though it says something that the VIP "m&g" packages offered (Thompson has one as well) are costing a fraction of what I've paid to see some artists lately, for which I got flap all except the ticket itself. Both Harris and Thompson are living treasures and deserve even more recognition than they get - it's an honor to see/hear them anytime, anywhere and all three of them are still producing incredible music. Can't wait.

Bringing my twin cousins to see One Direction at Jones Beach this July......they begged and begged.

It's hard to believe I saw them 3 times in the 70's with Keith Moon, including the original Quadrophenia Tour in 1973, and now I'm seeing them again in 2013, and they're playing Quadrophenia in the same place I saw them play it 40 years ago. It's unbelievable to me!
