NEW PAUL & NIRVANA SONG

And glad someone is with me on how sweet a fit the name Elysium would actually be for a group name of that Paul/Nirvana combo act. I challenge anyone to come up with a better one ! Not to stroke myself but I named every band I've ever been in didn't always sing lead, but I can name bands baby
If you don't want to stroke yourself, I will! (wait, that came out wrong!) ops: Great name for their band! My son had a band called No Such Number. I don't think he even knew the Elvis connection there (audi will get that right away)
Nancy, forgive my tardiness in thanking you for the stroke I try not to do it myself but sometimes that's just the kind of thing a guy needs glad you liked the name, wish Paul could tell me what he thinks! your sons band names not bad either! I'm sure it has some special meaning I'm not aware of but it sounds good which is enough on its own Peace out for now girlfriend!

I can't be the only one to post this, but I heard the group referred to as Sirvana by the press. I quite like the name (all due respect to Kurt Cobain of course......)
I like it! I'll take it a step further: I think Paul has finally found his rhythm section for his first-ever all-Fireman tour. Just a thought.
They should do a project and call themselves 'Elysium'. Look that one up 'Sirvana'... C'mon that's too funny to be the actual name, cheapens the whole thing. And btw I'm in the minority I know on this, and I'm not even sure if it was this thread where I read it, but I am against Queen performing as Queen without Freddie Mercury. And I'm against Alice In Chains, or Sublime, or any other band that carries over the name. That's all just marketing, and to me it's lame. I'm in a band called Canary Robbery and if I die I'll come back to life and tell the members they are assholes for carrying on with the name I invented. b**tard btw good for Paul and the remaining members of Nirvana for never calling themselves the Beatles or Nirvana post Lennon/Cobain.
Sometimes a frontman is more than the sum of its parts, you mention Queen,a band full of great musician but without Freddie i hate to say it but its not Queen it becomes a tribute act. This in my view,is NOT nirvana its 2 members of the Foo Fighters who happened at a point many years ago happened to have been/played in Nirvana and the bass player who played on the Foo Fighters last album on a song or two i fail really to see how its a "reunion" but of course the marketing men are telling me so it must be true, nah i'll make up my own mind as to what this combo is. The song itself is a heavy Foo Fighter type song with Paul's paw prints all over it,and thank god for that i say,he adds a sheen to it and beyond this makes me excited for the new album when that arrives. Will it be a hit? in the UK im not sure at all frankly its not from the X Factor so no chance of a number one i would think and our charts are so odd nowadays things you would think should be number one don't get anywhere near other nonsense songs sell by the bucket load sadly.

Paul performed it again tonight on SNL. It didn't have the same energy as the Sandy Concert, but the quality was clearer and - once again - he hit out of the park!!! I'm really getting to like this collaboration...

Really cool band, I personally love what Paul's doing at this point, he's doing Paul, he's not doing Beatles, there's no pretense, and it looks like he's having a blast. Very happy for him. This is the Paul I know and love. The style and artistic license he's taking makes up for any imprefections in vocals, playing or any part of the perforance. He's truly being Paul the great and I love it. He's really hitting a high point for me in cetain ways.

Absolutely spot on. He sounded and played so well, and looked good -- confident and comfortable in his own skin (which was the opposite of how he looked at the Olympics). Lovely to see him end the year on such a positive note.

AND he has finally realized he does not need to sing Let It Be or Hey Jude every time he walks out of the house! YAY PAUL!

Vote for it here on SiriusXM 20 on 20. You will have to type it in at the bottom. I noticed the The Rolling Stones' new song "Doom and Gloom" is already listed there. Let's push Paul into the listings and get him back to #1 where he belongs!!! Vote now! http://www.siriusxm.com/servlet/Satellite?c=SXM_PageDetail_C&childpagename=SXM/SXM_PageDetail_C/OpenContent&cid=1283889817033&pagename=SXM/Wrapper

This collaboration could really turn things around for Paul. To me, it is on the same level as Elvis' '68 Special, or when Bootsy Collins joined James Brown and the world got "Sex Machine." I would love to see Paul venture into something new, intriguing, unexpected and exciting.

I'm with you on this one. If it doesn't hit the charts, I'm not going to cry myself to sleep, either. It's got some credibility to it, and it's getting tons of positive press, not the least of which springs from the fact that he sounds good screaming this one out It's awesome, and it's great publicity for his new album. I think if anything we'll see sales of that album go up based on this collaboration.

I'm not crazy in love with the song but I do love THAT Paul. He can do it without being propped up by the Beatles.
