A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com

Many of us answered quickly but it wasn't for 1st correct answer. It was by luck of the draw...and many of us have no luck at all. Which is why contests really aren't a good way of compensating all the premium members.
-
nope contest only compenstates one but why is the prize always a lithograph? There is a reason no one buys them.

the fact it was aimed at the old premium members meant it could have just been a raffle/draw why bother with a question

I'm not expecting anything.

Hopefully 2013 will bring some changes to the new website, as it needs some, and badly. Also, I'm hoping that the "We're sorry we ripped you off with the Premium Membership, but kiss that money goodbye" goody bag is quite a bit deeper than two downloads of widely-available music.

I'm going back-n'-forth on this issue. There are times when I feel that the Kisses video and Amoeba audio downloads make up for the disappointing and abrupt cancellation of our premium accounts. But then I remember: That's not what I paid for. I tend to conclude that full refunds should've been option #1 for us. But that feeling goes away when I remember that I've received two free downloads + the downloads when I'd bought the premium account in the first place.

We payment was annual... so we paid for a year and got a lot less than a year. If you bought a years subscription for anything... like, for example, cable TV or whatever.. and the company cut it off several months early and gave no real explanation and didn't compensate you for it.. you'd go apesh*t. So we have every right to be annoyed by this. We also have every right to feel the website is only a fraction of what it was. But, hey, if their aim is to water down the site's quality, rip everyone off and stop fans from visiting the site... then they're doing it right.
-
That, too.
-
AND...don't forget the fact that it was in BETA all that time. So we got royally..ahem... . They should have just left it the way it was. I tend to think that THEY thought they had no control. People could post on anyone's page real annoyances & anyone could view it. I guess the pages should have been private. When are they coming back?

Of course, when you compensate people with items that have been on sale and that many have already bought... If we'd been given a choice of two downloads from a list of albums, that might have eliminated the issue of those of us who already had both downloads. For awhile. Because we are resourceful fans.
