Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours

I paid $1500 US for soundcheck & 4th row seats for the concert..
See? It's cheaper in the US. But you get to see the concert with people "rattling their jewelry" instead of demented South American fans.
LOL...not really. We are demented in different ways. (no rattling here) I love the vids of all the shows he did in Mexico & So America...fans are CRAZY! And Paul LOVES the adoration!

I think it's exploitation how some parts of the world pay drastically more than others. It should be fair and the same price everywhere. Seems like Paul's management are too bothered about chasing money. I REALLY HOPE the places Macca forgot or cancelled on last year will be made up for in 2013. E.g. Denmark are still waiting for their "to be rescheduled" shows. I think they should get first dibs on Paul and maybe Australia, too.

"Another gold comb for Mr. Burns" (Those of you who watch The Simpsons will understand) Just read from Beatle authorities on FB that Argentina is almost confirmed for April/May!!!

And that I believe is why he keeps returning. Also the climate's not bad.

I have my ticket to see Elton John in here on March 2. Anybody coming?

If he charges heaps more than he does anywhere else then I believe that's a reason, too. Money. I can't help but feel sorry for the places, equally as loving of Paul, who are left out. Imagine having bought tickets to Horsens, getting all excited and then told it's been postponed.. thinking maybe it'd be done as part as the Christmas gigs only to find out he's not bothered this year... you're still waiting for the promise of a rescheduled gig and instead of that Macca goes to North and South America and seems to have forgotten about you. This is what makes me think half the reason Paul hasn't done Denmark and other patiently waiting countries is because he/they want to make more money than that. If there was a real care for fans to be able to see Paul then Australia would have had some concerts by now.

Waiting to see Elton dates in the midwest of the states to be announced. Seen Elton 38 times and Paul 8 times. Hoping to see each 1 more time in 2013 (if not more).

Elton John actually has quite a few dates in the midwest at the moment...not sure if they are close enough for you. I really want to see Elton John this year. I saw him in 2009 with Billy Joel at National's Park (first concert held there!) and Elton was horrible. His sustain pedal got stuck and he was in a pissy mood the whole night, flubbing lyrics and chords. Billy Joel blew him off the stage. BUT, I saw him with Leon Russell in 2011 at 1st Mariner Arena and Elton was AMAZING!!!

38 times? WOW! I've only seen him once in 2009. Show was fantastic so I'm looking forward to the show in March.

Also once I said that a lot of his fans here are really young and maybe he's working to keep these fans. The more he comes the more he gets fans.

How much for first few rows for the show? How much for first few rows & soundcheck by you?
hengirl:
Are the prices on par with Europe and the USA?
Tickets here in Brazil depend on the region of the country and how far they are from the stage. The cheapest ones cost less than US$100, and the most expensive ones cost around US$250-US$400. Here are examples: http://minutohm.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/ingresso_paulmccartney_21abril2012_recife.jpeg http://minutohm.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/ingresso_paulmccartney_sp_show1_21nov2010.jpg However, if you show your student ID the law gives you the right to pay half of the amount being charged, no matter how close the stage those seats are, except in a couple of states. That's why you can see a huge amount of young people at Paul's concerts here, and those (especially 20-year old girls) are usually the ones he calls onstage. The exception was the smart guy in the picture below: http://thebeatles.com.br/portal/images/stories/2012/05maio/hermilo-rafael-paul-mccartney01.jpg Of course that law does not apply to the Hot Sound package, in which you pay US$1,500-US$1,600 for a ticket that includes soundcheck, tour souvenirs, food and drink, etc... and you are also the first to enter the stadium, so you will certainly be right in front of the stage. By the way, these concerts always happen in big soccer stadiums (30,000-60,000+ people inside), and there are no seats in the field, which is divided by a fence in two areas: the expensive tickets in the front (a small area), and the cheaper tickets behind them (not too far from the stage). People wait outside for a few hours (or days, as many fans do) in separate lines for expensive and cheaper tickets, and when the doors open you can walk (or run a little) to be as close to the front as possible. Let me know if you need more info.

That makes sense..if the young ones get tickets for half price...But they should give the half price to us here at the forum.

According to this source, there will be three concerts in Argentina: two in La Plata and one in Cordoba. http://maccamexico.blogspot.mx/2013/02/paul-mccartney-de-regreso-argentina.html And according to this newspaper article, Paul will perform in three different cities in Brazil, between April 15 and May 05. It also mentions that the capital city (Brasília) is out, as the stadium is not ready, and names two other candidates: Fortaleza and Goiânia.

I hope to attend them all! Yay! My favorite country to attend Paul's concerts is Brazil. Carlos, can you get me a pista prime student ticket?

Hahahahaha, you have to be a student in Brazil! What do you think about those two cities and stadiums that are being mentioned for concerts in Argentina?

It's easy Carlos. You find a friend of yours in Brazil who's a student who's not interested in going to the concert and buy the ticket with his ID We heard the exact same rumors about those cities in Argentina last year, but Paul finally went to Uruguay and Paraguay instead. So until it's confirmed I rather not go crazy, but it is quite feasible!

I understand that, but what you think about those two cities and those stadiums for a McCartney concert?

Several major artists perform there quite regularly so I don't see why it couldn't happen. By the way, if you plan on coming here and need help buying the tickets let me know.

I'm confused: Are you discussing a reduced price for students, or do you mean that one has to be a student in order to attend the show?
