[..] I've never liked Ebony & Ivory
Who did?
Well, for starters, all the folks who bought enough copies to keep it at No. 1 on the U.S. charts for seven weeks. With that said: I don't listen to the track anymore, but I loved it (and the video) back when I was in elementary school. It was right for its time, but -- as with "With A Little Luck" -- it shouldn't be performed on any tours.

Jonh81's lists correspond quite well with my own wishes - would be lovely to get some more odd numbers from Macca Solo and Wings. But when will we hear Paul do some more 'John-songs'?? Wouldn't it be fab to hear him do Help! for instance? Who else should pay that tribute to John, if not Macca? Hope to get the opportunity to see and hear you in 2013, Macca!
Thanks, for a different John tribute, he could do Hard Days Night, Help or In my life to name a few.
Or "I Want To Hold Your Hand," probably their truest collaboration and also has great resonance with some of us older fans.
Encore opener, like the stunner 'The Word' was. A boy can dream!

I'd love to hear him do Help

Hey Jude is one of the greatest songs ever written. Hey Jude is of the best concert songs. The only thing old and stale is someone who suggest Paul stop playing this song. Try dropping some acid at your next Paul concert and then come tell me how great Hey Jude is. I'll be right here.

Gosh, you're angry. I said I love Hey Jude, it's been my ringsignal ever since I got the possibility to tap it into an electronic tune on one of my first mobiles about 18 years ago. Now I have the man himself singing to me, of course. What I said was that the chorus has lost some of its spontaneity, and maybe another song could be let in to do the honours of the last encore? Why not start the gig with Hey Jude instead and let the audience hang onto the chorous at its own pace and for as long as it wishes .... And by the way - when I go, they'll have Paul to sing Hey Jude at my funeral, that's how much I love that tune, so I hope that settles it!

So should we start a poll or something? "Who's for Paul singing John on next tour" or something like that?

NO! He has many songs of his own that he has never played live. I'd much rather hear him do his own solo material.

One good thing does not exclude another ..... I would love a show with only Wings and solostuff ....

No, it sure doesn't. He does more than a fair share of Beatle songs though...why delve into John's? Just do more of his own material...say maybe from the last 30 years.

Because I can't really see why Paul wouldn't play the 'John-songs'. After all, he was part of them and they're Beatles material, so why not? I'm lucky enough to have attended quite a few concerts with Macca, and I actually think it would be quite good if he would move one step further. On my first gig, in 1972, the closest he came to a Beatle song was Long Tall Sally (as an encore), and we all know how close to the Beatles that was .... so he's come quite a bit from there, right?

I'll never deny Paul my approval to sing John's songs if it personally fulfills him, but -- if he sings them out of some sort of obligation -- these tributes document that Paul clearly respects John's music: The Word/All You Need Is Love:
Strawberry Fields Forever/Help/Give Peace A Chance: A Day in The Life/Give Peace A Chance: -

I think he should do some more John-songs, and that's it.

Who should play John's songs??? Maybe a Beatles tribute band? Just kidding but he has done enough tributes to John & to the Beatles. He has ignored his own solo career...but we've have had this discussion many many times before.
