Paul in the West End or Broadway
-
From June of 2012: "McCartney is not quite ready to give up on rock?n?roll yet. 'I must say Nancy and I did have some fun moments imagining me with a little pinky ring, in rhinestone, with a little glass of whiskey and soda, sitting on a high stool on stage next to the piano doing six months in Las Vegas. It?s nice to think about that for a second. And then completely rule it out.'" I think this would apply to the Broadway/West End residency, as well. So, let's get back to the rock concert talk, gang.

I'm surprised we didn't have an outburst rebuttle from Elton John!

In as much as Elton likes to run his mouth (big fan, met the guy, seen him 38 times) and attack Billy Joel (who's not nearly as talanted) and others, Elton and Paul are friends. Elton has said Paul McCartney is the greatest songwriter in history and if he's like myself, would never want to piss off someone who's done so much for people like Paul McCartney has.

If Paul stops touring, would you like to see him do a scaled down and intimate engagement on the West End or Broadway? Maybe he could pull a Manilow or what Hugh Jackman did.
If Paul stops touring, it would be because he can't/doesn't want to play live anymore. Him doing a residency wouldn't make sense in that case...
I have a feeling you are right
could also be because he doesn't want to travel & live out of a suitcase anymore...although a much larger suitcase than yours or mine.
I don't know...I've seen old Beatles footage and there's the one of Paul and RIngo packing trying to put a chair on the suitcase to get it to close. It looks just like the prized luggage my parents had they were so proud of.

I beg to differ... And I still wonder why Elton always attacks Billy, after they toured together and everything...

Not sure what you mean, that no one would want to piss off Paul? Well, maybe no one in there right mind. They guy wrote She Loves You, a little respect. In regards to EJ and Billy, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone Billy said though they have toured a lot, they have never really hung out very much and that Elton "doesn't really know him". Billy also said on Howard Stern when Howard asked if the Face to Face show was really just a business decision and the two don't really see each other off stage and Billy said that was basically the case. I think Elton is trying to force some tough love on Billy. It took a lot of people a very long time to get Elton to quit his act.

No, I was just talking about how you think Elton in better than Billy...
