I just heard about this. She apparently was to have just been signed on for a TV show here in the US. I'm not familiar with her name.

I didn't like her but I'm angry because mexicans are being mean with her. Even some famous people. A lot of people hate the kind of music that she used to make (add me) and started making fun of her death (don't add me). They even made HT on twitter like #MásAsquerosoQueJenniRivera that means #MoreDisgustingThanJenniRivera She's not even close to be a legend but she was very famous because she was on that tv show called "La voz de México" or something like that (sorry, I don't watch that kind of reality shows) and some people liked her music (let me explain... it's almost the same people who don't know who Paul McCartney is).

10 minutes ago, Ravi Shankar's Facebook page posted this sad message: "It is with great sadness the we mark the death of Pandit Ravi Shankar, Sitar virtuoso, cultural ambassador, teacher, friend and inspiration to all of us. But it is with great joy that we celebrate his life of 92 years and its uncompromising dedication to musical collaboration beyond national boundaries, virtuosity in every creative endeavor and a fundamental love of Gurukul teaching of Indian classical music forms." May you rest in peace, sir.

RIP ~ Huell Howser 1945-2013 Don't know how well known he is outside of California, but he was a state treasure here. Never before, and I doubt I will ever see again, a man so friendly and unique, with a genuine interest in the state of California and it's locals. I'm sure God just needed a host for 'Heaven's Gold'. He'll be dearly missed.
